Archives For motion graphics

You know I’m a numerology buff – bizarre, because I really hate math… or should I say, math was my worse course at school especially in my last two years of high school. But somehow, I like numerology. I think it’s because I don’t need to understand it, I just need to ponder.

We’re not talking about what it really means. We just wonder what it could be…

In theory, the number 10 does not exist – because it turns into a 1. However, also in theory… you could separate it like 1 and 0, thus having two numbers. xD Sure, you can get 10 by summing different numbers like 4 and 6, 3 and 7, or two 5s… right? But all those numbers sum up to 10, and then become 1 once again. Does that mean that the 10 is a whole number? It’s complete? It brings the harmony?

Harmony! xD

The 1 and 0 are opposites – but it’s not like opposites attract. Suck it! We’re talking about opposites, as in Yin and Yang – which in the end are two different halves of one whole.

And talking about Julz and your fanfic thesis – my final had also kinda to do with fandom. LOL

Harmony final!! xD Such an old video pimp ~~~

And you know, YAM Trivia!!!!!

The YAM Website’s opening on 15.12.10, which summing up (1+5+1+2+1) turns to 10, which turns to 1 – a whole! LOL While December 15th 2010 also marks my grandpa’s 5th anniversary of passing. Yup, it all has a meaning, people~~~

Just to make sure that we don’t forget infographics xD You can also vote for How to Feed the World? at the Vimeo Festival in the Motion Graphics category ;O

Thanks to Joel for the heads up on this time-lapse video.

Ahh… I hope I can finish this post in less than 30min. LOL Or sure I’ll be whining with the people at Anomalous Material for posting so many Memes xD

But we’re lazy, so we’re doing a 31-day Meme into one post. Just like we did on the TV Meme… only with more pictures! Because I think that TV Meme needs photos, right?

1. A Sequel that Shouldn’t Have Been Made

You know there should be something wrong when all the sequels went straight to DVD. That’s a sad sad ending for a good cheesy film like Bring it On. The sequels bring so much shame when mentioning Bring it On, which by the way had Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku… and Gabrielle Union. And cheers. I said Brrrr it’s cold in here! There must be some Clovers in the atmosphere~~~ LOL a perfect introduction to setup what the cheese will be about, and a more poppy-end-of-the 90s-rendition of Hey, Mickey!

I’ll just let them explain~~~

35mm is a shortfilm about cinema itself. We picked 35 of our favorite movies and tried to simplify them as far as possible. The outcome is a 2 minute journey through the history of film.
Take a close look and tell us if you’ve recognized them all!

I dunno if I saw the 35, it’s most likely that I didn’t.
More like 5 or 10 hahahaha. but I’ve only seen it once.

check it out, and let me know what YOU see.

I was missing Dexter!
So instead of watching the show, which would require me 13hrs of my week for just one season, I decided to look up for the Main Titles done by the awesome team at Digital Kitchen~

This gorgeous info graphic — it’s hot pink! — is tied-in with the documentary Waiting for Superman, which talks about the education system (or not-a-system, if you’d like) in the USA.

The animation is done by Jorge R. Canedo Estrada, who studied in the Digital Design program at VFS ;O

You’d better have 10min to spare to watch this.

I think… wow… so much information, and it makes sense. I think I’m forwarding this to every new client I get… something like “Before you decide if you want to work with me, take a look at this.” LOL

A combination of “Poema X” by Pablo Neruda and “Under the Harvest Moon” by Carl Sandburg.
