Archives For commercial

You’re often on my mind.

Thank you for giving us Two Tigers (兩隻老虎) and its theme song Ke Yi (可以) [1].

And off-topic, this amazing commercial.

Damn, Japan. You got too much time in your hands xD

Everyone’s a big Pythagora Switch fan~ and Asahi Kasei has taken promoting their plastic wrap and ziploc bags to Pythagora levels with this commercial.

Complete title is まいにちを、たいせつに~キッチンのからくりじかけムービー~全篇

Amy the celebrity-endorsements-don’t-work-on-me is back XD and must reveal that now I drink much more caffeine than before (I blame Turkish coffee) and I’ve been drinking Soju. Damn it, Korea. And I begin talking about drinks because Yu-chan has a brand new sponsor in Asahi for their Asahi Mogitate (アサヒもぎたて) campaign. “Mogitate” means “fresh-picked,” and it’s the name of their new ‘ready-to-drink’ (RTD) product— Chuuhai aimed at women. The err… Drinks Association in Australia (?) has a really explanatory post on Asahi’s road to design the perfect RTD that women (and men) want to buy.

I didn’t know the beer market in Japan had been shrinking. This is first news to me. Recommended watch: The Birth of Sake. Also, you gotta read about the Japanese whisky market and prices. Japan and their collectors’ stuff.

Chuuhai, on the other hand~~~

I do wonder if Yu-chan still sponsors Kirin xD

Here’s the most recent one titled Mogitate and Summer Veggies Curry (もぎたてと夏野菜カレー)

There’s also a Making Of xD

The first one out back in early May is called Mogitate and Young Bamboo Shoots (もぎたてと白子たけのこ) after the break~

I just didn’t want to spam you, even though I have been spamming y’all with Mamamoo continuous posts x’D

First, Tokyo Ghouls came out, I don’t think it made such a big splash as Rurouni Kenshin did [at the Box Office] and Yu-chan’s role is tiny [the Variety review spoils the role and movie, but does mention Yu hasn’t aged since 2006 xD].

The trailer for Birds Without Names [aka. and shortened to “kanotori”], it comes out on Oct.28., which is a week after the release of Mix., which also released its trailer and Yu-chan is hilarious.

Over the Fence and Japanese Girls Never Die came out on DVD/BR sometime in Mar and June. Subtitles may be scarce xD I’m not aware of HK editions with subtitles. I may be trying to catch Over the Fence without subs for all time’s sake. LOL

Yu-chan has also been on TV lately. She was in the recent special for We’re Millennials Got a Problem SP (ゆとりですがなにか 純米吟醸純情編), which will be coming out on DVD/BR in November (late) alongside What a Wonderful Family 2. I’m still debating whether I should watch the show~ She’s also currently on TBS’ drama Hello, Detective Hedgehog (ハロー張りネズミ) with Eita :)

All these feelings~

Next week (+ one day) is also my dad’s 3rd anniversary, so this just hit right in the feels.

The agency in charge of the campaign of Dream Fearlessly [also] was BBDO New York.

‘Tis a thing of pure beauty.

Otherwise known as SamuraiDroneCatIdolSuperhumanRubeGoldbergViewerWarningTooExplosiveHighSchoolGirl (侍ドローン猫アイドル神業ピタゴラ閲覧注意爆速すぎる女子高生) — I don’t exactly know how the translation in English came to being, but in the Japanese, there’s a mention of Pythagora (as in PythagoraSwitch).

Also, obvious dig at Shideido’s commercial.

Yo~ that’s one heck of a great teaser for an upcoming album. Looks and sounds epic.

The best? Kent gets us, songs are available for stream on YouTube. Thank you so much~

Looks like the album is available everywhere on iTunes but the US xD

The first thing to notice- OMO, I’ve been saying Pretz wrong my WHOLE life. How does Pretz (which obviously derives from Pretzel) end up being “pritz”? HOW!?

Second thing to notice… Solar, I’m never ever sharing snacks with you xD You bunch of adorable dorks.

L’Oreal Paris has a bunch of brand ambassadors by region, and they all get invited to Cannes; among them, there’s people like Eva Longoria, Aishwarya and Sonam Kapoor, who all end up walking the festival’s red carpet events, just like last year. This time around, they got them all for this commercial that also credits J.Lo and Blake Lively, even though I don’t really spot them in it.

Those who do make it and aren’t listed, however, include Aishwarya, Sonam Kapoor, and the Bingbings– Fan Bingbing and Li Bingbing. That’s on top of Jane Fonda, and everyone’s faves Julianne Moore and Naomi Watts, who all come together to gather round John Legend.

The idea of them coming together around Legend gave me vibes of that Lux Soap Commercial that Shahrukh Khan did like a decade ago, which featured Hema Malini, Juhi Chawla, Kareena Kapoor, and Sridevi… but then I watched it again, and that one was grosser. xD La Vie en Rose, at least, is a nice soft tune to give you the feeling of floating in the clouds xD

— EDIT 12Aug’16 —

Here’s the L’Oreal India upload.

Australian upload.

There’s been much talk on China’s “Leftover Women” (剩女, Sheng Nv) [Wikipedia], and Japanese beauty brand SK-II is putting it to good use in the brand’s latest Chinese campaign… and it’s lovely, heartfelt and empowering.

Don’t think that I missed your Tang Wei ad at LA’s International Airport, SK-II.
