  • Multilanguage Dubbing~

    I know I’m often unkind to dubbing – right?? – but I particularly think Disney does a decent job at doing multilanguage version of their musically-animated films… perhaps not actual full films, but their musical sequences. I was watching a Russian animated short that linked me to the Russian-dubbed version of the Halloween song on The Nightmare Before Christmas.

    I particularly think the Russian dub has a lot of personality, and kinda scarier vibe~~~ and, what do you think of the Japanese dub of Halloween? Kore wa HAROUIN~~~ xD

  • MTV Iggy – KPop and CPop in America?

    Did you know MTV had a ‘world’ ish brand now?

    MTV Iggy – which always ends up as MT Biggy when I say it. T.T

    Is that part of the answer to my demands? Also… why not pimp JPop? Is it because MTV Japan exists?

    ALSO, why is BaiLing there… O.ox *sighs*

    I managed to see BoA there, as well as Jay Chou… Nicky Lee, Lee-Hom Wang~~ Wondergirls, 2PM? But you know what, why don’t I leave you with a playlist Julyssa herself made for sharing~~~

  • Easter YAM! YAM Issue 003, that Is…

    I just posted YAM 003 over at my portfolio~~

    There’s a lot of international flavor in it… all by chance actually. It really wasn’t planned, it all just came together like that. There’s a couple of rant articles on movies and music, loads of reviews including complete non-fanatical reviews of Ao Akua, Utada Hikaru, DBSK, Hathaways, U2, Madeleine Peyroux, and Michel Gondry/Bong Joon-ho’s Yu Aoi’s Tokyo!

    ALSO! A special on the Peruvian film winning the Berlinale’s Golden Bear top prize~~ The Milk of Sorrow, and some of the discussion regarding the original name “La Teta Asustada”.

  • Three-Year Friendship Anniversary, Julz!

    Truly! Most improved! Remember? You didn’t know how to call avatars, let alone make them~~~ Now! Now you run your OWN website… make graphics, and are all over many things Asian.
