  • Sharon Stone is Ageless

    Holy mother of $*#&$#

This is Sharon Stone at age 55. (I actually thought, for a second, she could have been closer to 60). But this, this photoshoot for Revista Vanity Fair. I don’t give a care about Sharon Stone much, and a lot of what she talks about gives me a mad case of eye-roll, but this photoshoot by Norma Jean Roy is crazy good.

  • Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is Badass

    ingrid-bolsa-berdal-flukt

I have a feeling I’m never writing that “ø” in Bolsø ever again. I’m not even typing it. But damn, I was impressed with Ingrid Bolso Berdal while watching Flukt. She really made the film for me. You remember how many chills I got from Charlize Theron in Huntsman? Watching Berdal as Dagmar was downright chilling. She’s like a total badass Theron.

  • Yu Aoi Films Ranked *Fancy Edition*

A long long LONG time ago (actually, about three years ago), I made a rough list of Yu Aoi films I had watched and ranked them on MUBI (then TheAuteurs). Since I’m way too lazy to bother adding films to their database, unless I really REALLY wanted the films to be on their database, I’m just gonna work on the ranking here, like I started with my Russian fandom love Chulpan Khamatova.

  • Khamatova’s Films Ranked

Well, I think it’s time, no? This has been my Chulpan Khamatova’s journey so far. Surprisingly, most of the films that remain hard to find (and hence are not subtitled in other language) have been my least favorite. It could be a case of lost in not-translation, but I’m confident in my non-subtitled watch experience to trust my instinct.

  • Sammi Cheng in Cannes 2013

Damn, I know very little about Sammi Cheng — I may have heard a song or two (maybe?) — but damn~ that’s hot. Super hot. Vampire Shane Hot. LOL

  • Yu Aoi Updated Wiki Entry #2

    It’s a five-year fandom anniversary!

and I’ve just gotten EXTRA lazy now. These are the links to Yu’s previous Wiki entries [1][2].

I know that over the years (especially the last two), I have been lazying around not stalking enough news and being always late. Though some fans have disappeared from the internet, I still appreciate some of you lurkers.

  • Anna Kendrick Goes f(x)

Fandom crossover… of sorts. Obviously, otherwise I would have known about this sooner rather than later- if I were a hardcore f(x) or Anna Kendrick fan. But the Kpop humor nearly kills me. Kkkkkkk xD

My favorite detail about the clip, though, is when Kendrick is choreography-failing and she goes “Amber, if you could just teach me…” because you know what could happen when that happens. I see what you did there, Anna.

I think she deserves her tag now.

  • Doona, You’re so Expressive~

I didn’t know Doona spoke English this great, but I’m more delighted to see how expressive she is when she talks. xD

No wonder she placed on #2 on my list three years ago, and I lvoe her even more so than I did then. If I were making that list again, she would be my #1.

  • Zhou Xun on Life, Death, and its Impact on Children

I remember when I was in fifth grade I saw my grandfather die. There he was, lying motionless on the bed. I was close to my grandfather. He taught me how to write. I remember thinking, “If this is the end of life, that means we don’t have to take everything too seriously.” Children who grow up without seeing death don’t have that realization.

  • Look at that pretty Olivia Williams’ Face

I’m finally done with the latest version of Anna Karenina, which I’m sorry to say didn’t enjoy much. I generally have a love/hate relationship with Keira, but I just couldn’t stand Aaron Taylor. Mind you, I didn’t like him in Kick-Ass either, and it was meh on Albert Nobbs. During the whole movie, I kept thinking how Olivia Williams would’ve been as Anna Karenina.

Especially considering this photo, and how awesome that last scene could have been.
