Archives For fashion

I never really talk much about Fashion or the MET Gala, I barely remember last year’s theme (it was ‘The Future’), but I really dug the on in 2015 — China: Through the Looking Glass — in which Fan Bingbing’s cape blew me away (followed by Rihanna’s pizza dress). And usually, women’s fashion is more fun, but my Rei Kawabuko picks were Jaden Smith and Maxwell.

I didn’t love the grill when I saw it, but I really dug the whole look and his dreads as accessory.

I only caught a bit of Sunday’s Golden Globes, and none of the red carpet so… I missed Evan. But I did see the picture of her outfit, and totally dig her outfit and attitude. Seems like Evan’s coming back with a vengeance~

Look at THAT! I love it.

Me: Celebrity endorsements don’t work.
Also me: I’m obsessed with JiNS glasses now. Thank you, Yu-chan [1][2].

You can also buy non-prescription :O That would make it less stressful to get them shipped across continent, and then just get the prescription at your local oculist.

When I went to Japan (OMG, last year. It’s already been a year TnT), I ended up getting a pair of JiNS Air Frame glasses because— 1. Yu-chan. 2. When I tried them on, they didn’t fall. LOL I don’t have a high nose bridge, so my western glasses usually end up at the tip of my nose, and they’re so heavy!! SO HEAVY! I always got a deep mark on the sides of my nose. Air Frame glasses suit me so well.

So~~~ I found out there’s a JiNS store in San Francisco (and three other stores in California— so many Asians xD), so I could totally get a pair when I visit my aunt! It also seems like they have an online store. They only ship within the US, so I suppose I could send my glasses to my aunt’s~ BUT LOOK AT THIS GORGEOUS THINGS!

I’m obsessed with it right now.

Round glasses don’t suit the shape of my face, though. hahahahaha

I also don’t change glasses style because it’s expensive, but~~~ wishlist.

I’m not one for girl fashion, but I just ran into this Zhao Wei Tumblr, and saw these pics of her wearing this cape. I love it. Is it Burberry? Since it’s the Burberry fashion runway xD I don’t know fashion show etiquette— can you go to a fashion show of a brand wearing another brand? xD

A couple of weeks ago someone shared this Modern Samurai Coats post from RocketNews24, which I loved. Like- LOVED. I would love to go out in the streets wearing that without being judged coz it’s never cold enough for that lol. I’ve always been super into baggy clothing (90’s child), and I’ve just started wearing baggy clothing once again. Harem pants are my favorite, at the moment~

Oh, man~ I got it bad~~~

Look who’s totally officially a Moomoo. First time ever with a Kpop group, too!

Bonus of Su Yunying, though~

But I’m totally rocking the radish onesie!

Kigurumi is probably out of stock again.

There’s a really really REALLY good looking photoshoot of Tabu for this upcoming month’s issue of Femina’s Wedding Times that was shot by Jatin Kampani [Instagram][Facebook]. Clothing credits are going to Sandeep Khosla and AJSK (which I’m also supposing is clothing, though I couldn’t find anything on it). I really really love this shot. Would love actual scans of it.

Well~ just grab Chulpan Khamatova, dress her up in your clothes and snap a few photos in your store. She’s that charming and photogenic.

She just posted these shots -probably just shopping- at Xakama (ХакаМа) [Official Website][Facebook].

*snort* I did confuse Shruti thinking it was lil’ sister Akshara for a moment there. They don’t look alike, though, just a pure brain fart. Anyway, big sis Haasan stopped by this year’s GQ Best Dressed party wearing… not a femme suit! LOL It’s not as badass as, let’s say, Sammi Cheng in Cannes… but it calls your attention in between all the dresses. Coat needs a little tailoring, a sharper collar, and a tighter tie knot.

It’s really lil sis Akshara who can rock the cool look. I was over the moon with her hair in Shamitabh. And I’m not the only one. Whoever pull off the look in the film, brilliant. She does look a lot like Kamal Haasan, though. She’s got the perennial sad look in her eyes, and she’s got funky ears! She had sass, though. It can be promising.

They got you, didn’t they? You thought, woah~ Ayumi Ito is playing a spy. But no~

Ayumi Ito items in English are often hard to come by because her (mostly) English fandom is non-existent. However, I did ran into this photo of her for the Mata Hari collection that Annie Lee did four or five years ago alongside Josie Ho and Hilary Tsui. I don’t know much about fashion… but all in the name of Ayumi Ito xD

Last night, I got the chance to watch a Nora Noh documentary, simply titled Nora Noh. She is Korea’s first fashion designer to ever put on a fashion show in the country. There were some highlight comments, like when Seo Eun-young points out all these Korean celebrities are trying to ride the Korean Wave, when the wave has already been ridden by Nora. Way back when there was no wave.

There was also the comment on Korean pedigree when paying foreign creative directors, makeup artists, photographers, models, etc. more just for being foreign, when they all have talented people in Korea.

I need to gather my thoughts~

And though the docu has an official poster, I played around with some photos… because I got my computer back.

That would be… a triple poster~

I preferred the single sketch poster (3), I think.
