Archives For Fun

Woah, long time~ Has it been two months already? Well, I thought since One Million Yen has come out (finally!) with English subtitles on an “official” release, that I’d give this a push. I know most of you would have seen Tokyo!, Hyakuman-en and Honokaa Boy by now, but we’re trying to space them out because there hasn’t been any new project announcement since Otouto, which opens this coming January.

In the meantime, you’ll have to enjoy these things.

Here we go~~~

First, let me begin saying that I thought 2006 was a great year to watch films. Also, funny thing to point out — it was really, and I mean… REALLY tough to pick my Best Supporting Actress picks~

Many of my favorite films have a 2006 tag in them, so this list might seem a little bias, even though I really tried hard to not be. You might noticed how hard I tried not to be bias. LOL — check the Best Actress category~

Woah, those crazy fans~

I just sorta had a surreal experience while shooting a gig last night. After the 50min. gig, I was waiting coz I had lost my dad in the audience — hahaha, he’s like my bodyguard. You know, tiny girl + big camera is not a good combo at nighttime. Anyway, the band finished playing and were getting their gear packed when girls starting gathering around the entrance. Then the screaming started, like ear-splitting screams… they sounded three times the number they actually were. In the end, the band and the rest of us went the other way, from a side exit.

Once we got out of there, and security closed the fences, chicks had followed us there and kept on screaming against the fence. I was just startled, and it was kinda funny. So we ended up on the building where they were hanging out before the gig, and went up 3 floors. They chilled a bit there, when bam! Fans were downstairs waiting for them to show up on the balcony. Honest to blog, there weren’t that many, but they sounded like a hundred. LOL

The band began throwing signed stuff liked print-outs, and other paper. And I threatened to throw some tempura because honestly I was kind of starving, so I camouflaged my pass and my gear and quietly left to get my dad, and also get something to eat. I didn’t eat much either. Too many people~~~

I should be really working on these more often because there are 3 more left before I get to choose the ones from 2009~~~ This time around, I kind of feel like i didn’t get to watch many good films. It was really tough to find 3 animated films to include, and considered to just choose two instead, but I found 3 xD so I hope it’s not mostly filler~

Glee - 1x09 - My Chocolate Thunder

Why do we have to go all vanilla on this song? See what we need is my chocolate thunder.

*all in agreement*

Okay, we don’t have time to re-arrange the song for you, Mercedes. Rachel is singing it. Don’t worry, we’ll find something for you to dip in chocolate.

Though, to be honest, the episode was more heartfelt this time around.

KFood Does Taste Better…

November 7, 2009 — 2 Comments

After an episode of Family Outing.

I mean, a bowl of white rice with dried-spicy-caramelized squid can’t taste much better than it did, after watching sexy (or Bingu?) TOP – Hahahahaha. Also, trying to get my other friend to watch too. I think she will be hooked soon. More on that later~~~ So are we F.O.ing one people at a time now?

Hyori-unnie, you’re so awesome.

Yejin-unnie, I miss you!

*does Grasshopper dance* Hahahaha.

Catching up with these movie postings…

Almost a movie a day! =D

Kidult is a word composed by kid and adult. It is an advertisers’ creation, for they are the ones who often invent new expressions to indicate groups of people. Kidults are adults who still take care of their child side, that is, their need to have fun, publicly and without fear.

I buy some toys, like fun stuff, watch (sometimes) Cartoon Network and keep updated with cartoons. I buy character t-shirts, and games (still no one to play MAD GAB with), and a kid all around. xD

If we talk about big dorks, Crowd Lu is a huge dork, and his new album comes out next month, the first single Oh Yeah is out. SO FUN. So catchy. I hope the whole album is like this, so I feel like getting it.

Crowd Lu’s first album 100 Ways for Living was a huge hit.

Down the Idol-hole~~~

October 26, 2009 — 5 Comments

On the topic of Julz’ last YAM feature about fans and fandoms and the whole idol deal, I saw Julie & Julia this afternoon. It’s been ages since I’ve been to the cinema. First, let me say~~~ Meryl Streep is LURV as Julia Child. I totally cracked up each time she was on screen. I didn’t really care much for Amy Adam’s character, but Adams was lovable.

In the movie, Julie is sort of a very big fan of Julia Child, which reminded me of Julz’ article. She sets out to make all of Child’s recipes in the period of a year, and by the end of the film you see her confronting the idea of her idolized Julia Child version to the real life Julia Child, when she finally says “I don’t ever wanna meet her.” LOL

Wonder how many fans have reached that idea.
