so stop complaining music and movie industry. just make good stuff happen.

  • Toy Story 3 Makes for a Perfect Ending

Whatever your thoughts are about Toy Story, and Toy Story 2, if you got the chance to grow up and grow old with the Toy Story franchise, you’re going to feel like Toy Story 3 will be pulling your heart strings. I wasn’t emotionally attached to the franchise, and I still felt the nostalgic ending, quite reminiscent of the ending in the Winnie the Pooh books. That of having to grow up, and let go.

  • Disney’s Tangled Trailer

I don’t know if you had heard about Disney’s Rapunzel that suddenly got changed to Tangled. Anyway, the trailer for Tangled, the animated Disney film formerly known as Rapunzel, just hit the net.

    And I’m loving it.

Especially because it’s set to Pink’s Trouble music.
I love that album, and that song rocks.

and the trailer is so SO funny.

  • Glee Quote of the Week – S01x22 – Journey

Hi, Glee Quote of the Week, Glee is over for the season O.o

I think last night’s (real) season finale was a good sappy episode. I had a problem with the whole Quinn giving birth, as she was not sweaty or red enough, in my opinion… but I have never been pregnant, let alone given birth, so I’m just saying. The scene was quite funny though… and after having Puck peeking to the forbidden lands of down there during the birth, I doubt he will be getting laid any time soon. Anyone who’s seen any documentary knows. LOL

My second pet-peeve was the crying during To Sir with Love. I know it’s hard to cry while singing, but even Will had to look away from the line of the camera.

Anyway! The blogosphere is abuzz with this quote~ at least part of it.

Announcer: She is fresh off her fifth consecutive National Cheerleading Title, and author of the soon-to-be-published memoir, I’m a Winner and You’re Fat, Ohio’s home-grown iconoclast, Coach Sue Sylvester!

I dunno if I would buy I’m a Winner, and You’re Fat… but I would totally read it.

  • There’s Something About Li Yuchun…

    that is fascinating.

For one thing, Chris Lee doesn’t have the best voice, she doesn’t have the best dancing, or the best lyrics in her album. However, she writes her own music and lyrics — she seemed to have done so in her self-titled album — , she dances, she even directs her own music videos [one of them Youth of China], and has begun her acting career — in the awarded Hong Kong production of Bodyguards and Assassins, for which she was named Best Newcomer of the Year by the Hong Kong Directors Guild. To top it all off, she’s tall — at least, taller than her Asian counterparts — has an amazing face, and stands out from a crowd by being Chris Lee in a room full of other women.

Multiple-talent threats are often easy to hate because they think they do it all, but in reality they don’t really excel at anything. A few singers who think they can act come to mind, or actors that think they can sing. And even though, Chris may not really excel in any, she’s so difficult to hate because she doesn’t have that superiority air that plagues self-professed artistes. Every time she’s on stage performing or receiving some award, she stands there with an air of a person that’s cool, but also with hints of humility.

  • Glee Quote of the Week – S01x21 – Funk

Taking the advice of “other Amy“. [ps. you’re welcomed to refer to me as “other Amy” in your blog, LOL]

Funk felt so… SO inappropriate to watch. I wanna say I loved it, but I will need a second view. I mean… I always knew Finn and Will were alike… and that the way for love is PURE HATE. Also, watching pregnant un-wedded mothers shaking their money-makers to It’s a Man’s World, I just kept waiting for a baby to fly towards the camera.

Anyway~~~ next week is the season finale!

Here is my quote of the week~

Sue: You know, for me trophies are like herpes, you can try to get rid off them, but they just keep coming. You know why? Sue Sylvester has hourly flare-ups and burning, itchy, highly-contagious talent.

  • Television Meme

His Eyes Were Watching Movies with a Television Meme… Hmmmkay~

Day 01 – A show that should have never been canceled
    Firefly

Day 02 – A show that you wish more people were watching
    Dexter

Day 03 – Your favorite new show ( aired this t.v season)
Glee – I don’t think people get why I watch it.

Day 04 – Your favorite show ever
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    Day 05 – A show you hate
CSI Miami – I was gonna say some reality tv, but it seemed unfair.

  • Presenting the Yoshida Brothers

You know I’m a sucker for traditional music fused with modern music, so it wasn’t a surprise that I’ve gone pretty nuts about the Yoshida Brothers thanks to this post.

Though I am unsure on how their discography works (Japanese releases and International releases), since I don’t know if all of the albums contain different songs, or if some of the releases are just compilation of others.

    Anyway, Rising blew me away.

as did KODO (literally meaning palpitation)

    https://youtu.be/Ron17xFNBf0

but not only do they do this, they also do fusion with blues, latin music, and even celtic!

  • Hoverboard by Nils Guadagnin

You know Back to the Future? xD
You know the hovering skate board Marty used?

I would so totally try to get this if it worked.

The Hoverboard is a project made by Nils guadagnin, a young french artist. This work is born in 2008 for an exhibition named “Back To the future”.

It is a copy of the hoverboard from the movie Back to the Future II. Integrated into the board and the plinth is an electromagnetic system which levitates the board. A laser system stabilises the object in the air.
