Archives For Photographs

Behold, us mere people. LOL’

TcCandler.com has released its list of the 100 most beautiful faces… female faces, just to make that clear. As past lists, the faces, the names, nationalities and everything is varied. And Natalie, my Natalie… she made it to Numero 1 this year, after being on the list for 11 years. So she’s actually been on the list since probably the release of Leon~~~ SNAP! These guys are good.

Rachel Weisz, who shares screen credit with Natalie on Wong Kar Wai’s My Blueberry Nights lands on #2 (after 13 years on the list), and Kate Beckinsale lands on numero 3 after 10 years on the list, and dropping from last year’s number 1 spot. My Marion (Cotillard, for those who don’t know) lands on Numero Quatre, after 7 years and dropping from #3 last year. And making it to the Top5 is Katharine McPhee who’s been on the list for 2 years.

Favorite names on the list?? Judy Greer, Rachel McAdams, Eva Green, Audrey Tautou, Ellen Page, Paz Vega, Krista Allen, Marley Shelton, Emilia Fox, Julianne Nicholson, Rachel Hurd Wood, Jennifer Connelly, Monica Bellucci, Kate Winslet, and Camilla Belle.

For my old list of Top10 Female Celeb Portraits, and Top10 Male.

I cannot utterly believe WHY I’m posting this, but… while rummaging through my dusty albums, I discovered the first album I ever EVER bought, back when I was 10? This is WHY we love the early to mid-90’s because the 90’s were tacky… if the 80’s were tacky in American and the rest of the world, we certainly caught up in the 90’s, people.

For past reasons of why they ruled, check the following links:

Part I
Part II
Part III (Disney Edition)
Part IV (Ruth rules Edition)

Forget about leg-warmers, puffy hair and big glasses… though Beals and Matlin certainly blossomed. *tsk tsk* – My 90’s were tacky… flamboyant primary-colored suited boy bands waving and wooshing their flamboyant fans while singing Locomia, LOL’ Or velveted rancheras singing Querida… originally performed by my Latin version of Elton John, with Juan Gabriel. LOL’ But back to the album I found people… Continue Reading…

Bokeh and Photo Testing!

April 13, 2008 — 1 Comment

Finally decided to install Lightbox, and the Flexible Upload plugin (and Bookmarkify too!) –
NOTE: In order to install Flexible Upload, and have it work properly you must have previously installed Lightbox, Greybox, Thickbox, HighslideJS or LightWindow.

So this is my photo testing with some three Bokeh images, because Bokeh is cool. LOL’

A lot of testing still, here are credits:

Doug SavantEver since I began watching Desperate Housewives, I always LOVED Tom Scavo. He was the best of the husbands on the show, and I dreaded the idea that Tom might have been having an affair… he wasn’t having one, after all. But due to his silliness… he got himself a new daughter. Seriously, is Tom Scavo a sperminator?? LOL’

Anyway, I think Doug Savant is the hotness. Look at him in this photo that I stole from E! Online, ha! – It’s something I had to do, there aren’t many photos of him around…

Now, if you take a look at his CV, you’ll noticed he’s been in many projects! A few days ago, they were showing Godzilla, and I noticed him! He’s been a soldier/policeman/enforcer of the law many-a-time! As he was a captain in Firefly.

Who can forget Tom and Lynette’s fooling around, and Tom’s line of “Let’s risk it!” and Lynette punching him for even suggesting, LOL’. And instant LUV when he was wearing the leopard underwear. x’D

Love New Clothing

April 8, 2008 — 3 Comments

I’m not one to talk much clothing, but I just wanted to remind myself of these. I mean, like Julyssa said – being broke is always hard. I wish I had the money to buy these at Karmaloop.com

The Next Jodie?

April 8, 2008 — 1 Comment

MSNBC did an article of who could be the next Jodie Foster. Crazyness! LOL’ Their Top5 picks are okay, I guess… but really, the names on the poll. Don’t really dig a few of them. I mean, my respect to Emma Watson, Camilla Belle, Jena Malone, Amber Tamblyn, Clea DuVall… and etc. But Jodie is THE Jodie, LOL’ xD

*EDIT*
Must clarify, the names mentioned above are okay… but Kristen Bell and Kristen Stewart? Pfft

Their Top5 (dunno if by order, though) are: Continue Reading…

We Love Bree!

March 9, 2008 — 4 Comments

Let’s start off with a quote from EW.com:

Bree Van De Kamp has a deeper role: She is Wisteria Lane’s beacon of perfection — the exquisitely starched pleat in a wash-and-wear world — and God love her, it’s the only thing keeping her sane.

We didn’t always love Bree, so correct in her deportment she made Miss Manners look sloppy.

greta-garbo

There is only one thing to say… THANK YOU SO MUCH, Julz!!!!! I just got it in the mail today, and the post office almost spoiled it, because they were about to rip the wrapping to find out what it was! And I was like NO! Can’t you just read the invoice to see what’s inside, plus it’s a gift, you damn fuckers! LOL’ – They looked at me funny because you won’t believe how EXCITED I got when I knew. You could see it in my eyes, Julz – this has been the most surprising, bestest present like EVER… FOREVER AND EVER and always~~~

Hardcover books rock, photography rocks, celebrity portraits rock… so this gift effing rocks!! It’s got sooooo many photographs, and they are all neatly printed on nice paper. My dad even thought they might be real pictures pasted on the paper, haha. Big font for the content, so no need for eye-squinting… and the first chapter, if I read correctly – it’s written by Garbo’s great-nephew. I thought it was such a great read! Here’s an excerpt:

There is a lot about Greta Garbo I did not learn until after she passed away. Her last film was released in 1941, seventeen years before I was born. Until I was a teenager, she was just “Kata.” This was the nickname she was given as a child – after Swedish suffragette Kata Dalstrom – presumably for her strong will.

Kata was my great aunt. Of all my relatives, she was one of my favorites, beloved by my brothers and sisters as well. I remember the times we spent together with a smile. I recall her sidelong glances and her raised eyebrows as her stories were spun to the next level of impossibility. Kata had a great sense of humor, and there were always jokes when she was around. In New Jersey, we accompanied her on long walks and once built a bonfire that could be seen for several blocks. Kata taught me and my siblings how to do cartwheels. She was distressed that we had not learned to do them properly, and we spent a memorable afternoon refining our technique under her critical eye. Kata was an intriguing combination of seriousness and fun.

If you tend to watch a lot of TV and movies, and are good with faces and names, you begin noticing familiar faces throughout the years. It is then, by chance, that you suddenly discover that you have in fact been finding bright new talents… or hidden talents. You know their faces, you know where you’ve seen them, but you can’t quite get their names until you research, and never will it happen again.

I’ve been an avid procrastinator for the past 12 years of my life, ha! I’ve watched a lot of TV and movies (more in recent years), and I’ve found myself saying “Well, he/she looks awfully familiar. Haven’t I seen him/her somewhere before?” Yes, yes I have. And that gives me a fuzzy feeling… a fuzzy special something that makes me think I’ve got this tiny little treasure, and I saw it… sort of first.

Juliette Binoche - hc916After obsessing just a bit with watching Dan in Real Life, HBO showed a re-run of Chocolat. I love the movie, mainly because of the Chocolate-y goodness… I can just smell the chocolate coming from the TV. LOL’ Anyway, after that, I was on the boards at IMDB and run into a transcript of a recent interview with Juliette Binoche. Since it’s posted on the forum, you would need to have an IMDB account – so I’m posting here…
