    Oh, we LOVE it when YouTube has region restrictions, no?

    You’d think Britney Spears fans around the world, and not only located in the US would try to watch her videos on YouTube. I would get the ‘age restriction’ – but come on! who hasn’t lied into those signup forms before, right? – But hey! Not only I can’t watch Britney videos from BritneyTV… I also found a lot of other music videos (eg. Cobrastyle by Robyn) that I couldn’t watch because of this. As if!

    Anyway, I had just found out Britney released her new video (third, I think) – If You Seek Amy… which I thought was the best track on Circus… not because my name is featured, but because it’s actually kind of smart and sassy. The video SUCKS though… she hasn’t made a good video since she stopped having general shots of choreography. You can’t deny the close shots and quick edits while ‘dancing’ is to hide the fact that she’s not moving much.

    The trailer for Coco Avant Chanel, about the life of Coco Chanel starring Audrey Tautou has hit the net a few days ago. Me wants to see~~~ I need a little French push at the moment with so much Asian in my life.

  • Rookie of the Year Award for Yu!!

    Yu Aoi - 2009 - Rookie of the Year Award CeremonyRookie? LOL’ I don’t think she’s a ‘rookie’ perse but okay… I’ll take it!

    The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan has named Yu (in the fields of Media and Fine Arts) their Rookie of the Year Award (Movies).

    On why they are giving this award to her, they talk about her debut on the Shunji Iwai film All About Lily Chou Chou, and her steady career throughout the years mentioning Hula Girls. They also mention her work on One Million Yen Girl the past year, as well as her natural talent. Finally, they close their paragraph saying that Yu’s future is expected with much anticipation.

    Or something like that…

    Also named there in the field of Public Art, Shiina Ringo!!!! Like… Rookie?? Again~~

  • Natalie Portman for A Powerful Noise

    In light of all those “natalie portman oscar 2009” searches~~ which have been A LOT since yesterday – what’s up with that, by the way? -A Powerful Noise is a documentary following 3 women in Mali, Vietnam, and Bosnia-Herzegovina as they overcome their battles against ignorance, poverty, ethnic strife and oppression.

  • The BackStreet Party’s Alive in Lima

    Oh yeah~

    BackStreet Boys are finally in Lima. Actually, I just found out – because I was checking in case tomorrow’s concert was canceled… but no, it’s not. I’m excited. xD

    But to tell you the truth, apparently not AS excited as some of the fans that went to the airport.

    Crazy violent video, eh? Well, the guys are also twittering~~ and here are some of their funny twittering, typos and all~~ from their arrival to Lima.

    OMG- Lima, Peru is crazy yo!! Hundreds upon hundreds of you at the airport. Wonder how the rest of the tour is going to stack up! Viva Peru!

  • Discovery Kids Back in the 90’s

    This is an un-official “Why the 90’s Ruled or Not”.

    Remember those days when Discovery Kids (Latin America) was actually for kids – you know, 10-13 year old kids – and not babies~~ I mean, COME ON! Teletubbies??? Shoot me in the face already!!

    Back in the day, when I was a 10 year old kid… my family first got cable. If I recall correctly, Discovery Kids Latin America used to be in channel 65 or 85 or something, and it had awesome programming for intellectual kids like me~~ Truth be told, most my younger cousins didn’t watch Discovery Kids ever, but I did… and I’m an avid TV watcher since I was a kid. That’s my market~

    What did I used to watch on Discovery Kids? Well, I had my first introduction to the Internet thanks to them! Cyberkids was one of the programs I used to watch, and probably shaped me in the way that I am today… you know? Blogger, Web Designer, Web Surfer~~~

  • Greed – the New Fragance with Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams

    For a change of pace, Dazed Digital has just released the Francesco Vezzoli’s Greed faux-perfume commercial starring no other than Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams. It’s an odd, yet interesting idea for a sort of a short film~ and man! Williams must be tiny, since she looks tinier than Portman in here.
