December 19!!!

Of course I will have to wait a little for it… with luck, it won’t be too long.

Nodame Movie 2009

GYABO!!! xD

btw, sounds like a very fun European tour…

Last month on the 16th, they already started filming in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. They continued in Brno, the Czech Republic and after that they arrived in Vienna, Austria. After Vienna, they went back to Brno also filmed a few scenes Prague. Right now they are in France and about to start filming in Paris.

Chiaki-sempai!!!! Gyabo~~~ xD
Oh, man~ I love Nodame-chan xD – Onara Taisou!!

Months ago I blogged this NHK 10 min. segment on Yu’s favorite book. Tabi o Suru ki? – Google translates it as “Tree Travel”? – Well, YouTube user kaurismaki uploaded the 10min. not long ago. It would be AWESOME to get this subbed =D even though you don’t see much of Yu, but the segment seems to have a good feeling. Very serious.

Once again, a request to get this translated! It would be awesome to hard-sub this. ^^

xD
behold!

I saw the making of this CM for Kirin titled “The First Surf Ride” thanks to aoinohoho~~ Have you guys all seen the Kirin CMs?? They’re pretty funny, and super cute. Anyway~

I was wondering if anyone had scans for Yu’s Vogue Taiwan… like good scans, I tried searching online but many are auctioning the issue O.O – seriously. – That’s my request! =D Any fashion fans that have the issue, you too are being requested xD

ANYWAY! Making of courtesy of aoinohoho below the break~

Okay, my Chinese music has taken over my Asian music as of lately. So I felt I should make another playlist =D – I feel this is an interesting list, even though I couldn’t find a good video for Vae (is he that independent?), and was able to find only one video for Yuguo =’-(

[iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLA67DBE6728354D75&hl=en_US”]

  1. Yuguo – You Jian La Tian (Hello, Blue Sky)
  2. Mayday – Sheng Cun Yi Shang Sheng Huo Yi Xia
(More than Surviving, Less than Living)
  3. Cheer Chen – Ji Ta Shou (Groupies)
  4. Crowd Lu – Wo Ai Ni (I Love You)
  5. LaLa – O Yi Xi (Oh, Easy)
  6. Vae – Ru Guo Dang Shi (In the Event that) – Not a video.
  7. Cheer Chen – Deng Dai (Waiting for You)
  8. Mayday – Bao Gan (Liver-busting)
  9. Milk@Coffee – Ran Shao Ba! Xiao Yu Zhou (Burn! Little Universe)
  10. Crowd Lu – Yi Bai Zhong Sheng Guo (100 Ways for Living)

I love how this list turned out, kinda like telling a story… right? Like just beginning your day with a certain energy, then chilling down a bit, until is not so easy xD and then bam! Liver-busting *laughs* – Combustion!!! Big Bang!!! And finally life goes on… xD

I thought I was being a smartass by calling this a Twitterview, but FRAK! I’m late… this is what happens when you think Twitter is not for you. ANYWAY!

The Juri Ueno LiveJournal community just posted a brief Twitterview – more like a casual chat – with Ivan Simeon who is the photographer for the newest Juri-chan photographic adventure titled
The New Green Deal.

The New Green Deal by Ivan Simeon

As far as I’m concerned, this community ROCKS major Yen. xD – They scan, translate… sub and even conduct Juri-related interviews!!!

And hooray for Happy Accidents!!!

My assistant messed up and the b&w pictures became green! She throwed it away and I fished it out of the bin and thought: Wouawww! That looks great. Than we worked hard to find again the combination which by accident gave this strange colour!

I just ran into this video.

O.O – it’s so great! So interesting, I want to see what each person does haha.
And there’s an “Amy” in it!! xD ~~~It’s sort of an “interactive” video, I think. At least it got the fans of the band involved in more than “we need fans to show up in a concert-type-setting for the music video.” This seems like it was a lot of fun.

And the music is pretty good as well, so I’m looking for their music. =D Any recommendation?

Sighs~ July…

Wow, time does fly.

Julz should be heading or already be in Korea by now. She’s got me all fuzzed over the things she said she’s got for me. I got all giddy ‘coz she said she’d been watching a couple of episodes of Dr. Koto’s Clinic, which they are re-broadcasting this week… I’m also watching the episodes (currently on episode 7) pretending (almost) that I’m there to watch. LOL’ – But it’s been 3 years since the broadcast (and upload) and there are still no subs, though SARS fansubs did announce not long ago that they were doing it, so I’m looking forward to that.

I also found a couple more Chinese musicians and groups… and now, NOW! I’ve got more Chinese music than Japanese… which, to tell you the truth, baffles me a little. So now I need to find some more Japanese music – and just for fun… I thought I would mention that I was singing SNSD’s Gee yesterday… god knows why!?! Geez~ – you can laugh now.

I feel I’m lacking Korean music… none other than Seo Taiji.

First things first~~

I found another Yu Aoi article that talks about her role on Ikechan and voice-acting. It seems to quote a bit on this previous interview, but there also seems to be a bit of extra info, can’t be sure since I just skimmed-Google-translate it. We are in need of proper translations for this and the previous articles (trust me, you don’t want to rely on my Japanese LOL).

I also ran into this piece of info. I know it’s late, LOL’

Gakuya - Dressing Room - Poster

It’s a stage drama/play/theater piece… whatever your choice of noun is, called Gakuya – or as it translates Dressing Room – alongside Kyoko Koizumi, Nozomi Muraoka, and Eri Watanabe. It ran from May 10th to June 14th (again, sorry for the tardiness xD) – any Japanese fans seen it?? It would be awesome to get comments on that… or even a synopsis xD

I was looking back on music videos this past weekend (which, by the way marked amy-wong.com’s 4th anniversary) because I was watching Michael Jackson music videos and thinking “wow, how come I don’t like watching music videos now” – at least I don’t watch videos of most music I listen to in English, though I’m generally impressed with Asian Pop Music Videos.

When I was little, well… a pre-teen and teenage girl fuzzing about the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears with my friends at school, I began to notice director’s names. MTV (which I pretty much used to watch almost 24/7) used to show the Name of the Song + Name of the Artist + Name of Album + Name of Director. They did this until the beginning of 2002 or 2003 when the Director’s name suddenly disappeared from the credits. I dunno if it’s back, and I dunno if it was because I just went to Canada. LOL

One of the first names I noticed was, of course, Nigel Dick.

If I could describe Nigel Dick’s style of music-video-making when I was a kid, I would say “simply brilliant” – not because I was naive and didn’t really know much about the business, but because his videos were simple, but yet so full of life. Perhaps, the easiest way to show it is with a simple video such as Oasis’ Wonderwall.

While there’s on-going filming in Europe, there’s more news about Juri’s brand new WOWOW drama titled Ueno Juri and the Five Bags – though I wonder if there will be a title change or addition~~

Juri Ueno and the Five Bags

WOWOW is quickly positioning on my to-watch list (now, if only they decided to release their subbed dramas and films) – and on the vein of series like Camouflage, which I still haven’t watched subbed – comes this mini-series (since it’s only 5-episodes long) telling the story of 5 different characters and directed by 5 different directors, including Nobuhiro Yamashita (Linda Linda Linda, Camouflage), Michael Arias (Tekkonkinkreet) and Takuma Takasaki (Honokaa Boy).
