Teaser tease!
This gave me the chills, and it’s only the teasing part before the trailer. LOL

Looks abso-bloody-lutely fantastic~
We know the story… but it’s all about the vision,
and the Cheshire Cat looks freaky O.o

*EDIT*
damn, will get back to you when they re-post this.

*EDIT*
Disney’s finally letting the teaser do its magic again. =D

To just break off a little of all the Japanese films on the front page~~ xD

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland - Red Queen

First, I must tell you. These are fantastic, and now I’m just dying to see it. Even more so than when I wrote my brief article on horrorific films~~~ Bonham Carter looks abso-bloody-lutely crazy  good on that with the big head… the eyebrows or lack thereof, the lips, the hair… and that look, man!

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland - Mad Hatter

Tim Burton - Alice in Wonderland - White Queen

is it just me, or is Johnny looking very Elijah Wood right there??? LOL

I know I’m often unkind to dubbing – right?? – but I particularly think Disney does a decent job at doing multilanguage version of their musically-animated films… perhaps not actual full films, but their musical sequences. I was watching a Russian animated short that linked me to the Russian-dubbed version of the Halloween song on The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I particularly think the Russian dub has a lot of personality, and kinda scarier vibe~~~ and, what do you think of the Japanese dub of Halloween? Kore wa HAROUIN~~~ xD

Is this a trailer? Doesn’t feel like one 3P

Anyway! Disney’s 2d animation is back! It’s been years since the last 2d animated Disney film (2004 with Home on the Range which wasn’t so good), in fact… this is their first princess-ish animated film since~~~ since Aladdin’s Jasmine in 1992, but that was more like an Aladdin flick… or Beauty & the Beast in 1991, but Belle was not really a princess. LOL So! That leaves us with The Little Mermaid’s Ariel in 1989~~~

Wow, 20 years of my life have just flown by~~~

The Princess and the Frog reminds me of The Rescuers, and All Dogs Go to Heaven – hint fat crocs… and fat crocs who sing, with a hint of Sebastien from The Little Mermaid~~~ ‘LOL. Still wanna watch though~~~

Most often than not, there’s a lack of foreign films in the Animated Feature (and in any other) field~ So how many times must we pass over great animation (not only for kids) to open our eyes? I started out with a qucik search for 2006 released animation (because I was discussing that year with a friend), but that didn’t do anything except make me skim through an article stating that “2006 was a great year for animation” – NOT! That there were 2 or 3 animated (3d CG) films each months totaling more than a dozen films of pretty much crappy quality… and if they were lucky they were worth a straight-to-dvd release is NOT a great year for animation. That just makes it a great year for movie business…

2006 was the year I began hating 3d animation, because everyone seemed to be releasing their 3d films JUST to cash in.

I ended up at the Academy Awards site to search all animated films nominated since the category began in 2001 with Shrek (the original not sequels) won. I also ended up on IMDb and their ‘Power Search’ tool to search for animated films with feature releases from the year.

If MJ Came to Peru,

April 13, 2009 — Leave a comment

Will You Be There?

Sorry, couldn’t resist that one~~

Despite all the crazy, I would go. I would pay to see Michael Jackson – just like there’s people saying they’d pay to see Britney Spears in Lima. Really? After the shennanigans in Vancouver? ~~~ but oh those possibilities of rock with your cock out. LOL’

ANYWAY, I don’t know how much I’d be willing to pay to see MJ on stage… perhaps it will have a broad price range like many of the more ‘popular’ concerts. I’d be wiling to pay $50 for some okay ticket… I’m not crazy enough as some MJ fans. Plus, it’ll be tough to compete with them~~

By the by, have you heard? Jonas Brothers sold like 20K tickets in 4hrs in Peru. Prices raging from 1300-ish Soles ($430ish USD) to 50-ish soles ($15ish USD). I’m so glad I’m not a parent, and so glad my younger cousin doesn’t find boys an interesting subject… yet. LOL

Also Disney flat out denied that they are building a park in Peru. LOL’ Just thought I’d put this out there just in case…

First, let me tell you – I don’t physically own these collections. I am basing my opinion on the content of the dvds, their price and their overall value compared to other collections that contain some of the same shorts.

Disney Animation Collection 1: Mickey & Beanstalk [Amazon.com] which is another release related to this Fun and Fancy Free~~~ They both have Michey & Beanstalk short, what this new release has is the 1938’s Brave Little Tailor in which Mickey kills 7 flies in one blow and the townspeople mistake it for 7 giants, putting Mickey at the front to get rid of the town’s own giant. There’s also 1934’s Gulliver Mickey in which Mickey… eh, gets to a miniature people island. Also 1936’s Thru the Mirror and 1940’s Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip.

Awarded Movie Watched List

January 27, 2009 — 2 Comments

Last year was a particularly good year for me to watch films. Why? Well, compared to the previous year, in which many or most of the films nominated were still on my ‘to-watch’ list, this year I’ve done all my movie watching before Oscar was announced.

Oscar Ballot 81st - Watched

Green = WATCHED
Orange = Dying to watch~~

Less than a month to Oscar, 4 films I’m dying to see~~ *cross fingers*

*SWOON*

OMG, I’ve died and gone to heaven~~ LOL’ After the disilusion that Memories of Matsuko will only be released as a PAL Region 2 DVD~~~ I’ve set my eyes on this pricier DVD item.

Itches inside! LOL’ Because I’ve got the previous ‘Special’ edition… and I hate it oh-so-much when they do that. Releasing such an uber fancy DVD edition. Continue Reading…

So just a while ago I saw Ep09 of Last Friends, but don’t worry! No spoilers in this post~~ Besides, there were no subs, so I probably don’t have any idea what they talked about~ I just cracked up with this following scene so much that I had to share with you guys.

If you’re a fan of Disney, you might notice or remember this song in the clip is a play on the famous Zip-Ah-Dee-Doo-Dah song on the infamous non-dvd-released Song of the South. You can actually find a torrent of the film thanks to someone’s hard-working-self who digitized the film.

Aren’t Eri, Michiru and Takeru the cutest singing??? And I just laugh so much when Eri goes “Ruka! Ruka!” xD
