I’ve been on a Chulpan Khamatova movie hunt for the past week or two. xD

I had been trying to watch her filmography since… Goodbye Lenin! in 2004, but I never got to it. I, then, chose to watch Luna Papa. I realized I couldn’t call myself a fan if I hadn’t watch more of her movies, so I went finally hunting. I’ve already seen The Land of the Deaf, 72 Meters, Doctor Zhivago, The Sword Bearer, and Domovoy.

I also got The Dancer’s Time (but it’s got no subtitles), Tuvalu is on its way, and I’ve got Paper Soldier ready to go.

I hope that in a few months I have enough information to write a YAM Loves post about her :) Coz her face is perfection personified and from the little information I was able to find, she’s also a fascinating person.

To use this prettyful lights they’re using on their latest video titled Can’t Wait (迫不及待, Po Bu Ji Dai), which I’m not posting on the magazine because I feel… it’s been bombarded by Asian music. However, I can post this here! It’s got pretty lights! The girls look so pretty! Flawless faces.

NBC is uploading things for posterity! (That’s a first!)

Despite missing the Globes last year. Tina and Amy were too much of a temptation to not watch, and it was worth it… even if they weren’t on the show longer instead of other insipid guests.

Mom, I know you’re inside those blue eyes somewhere and that there are so many things that you won’t understand tonight, but this is the only important one to take in: I love you, I love you, I love you. And I hope that if I say this three times, it will magically and perfectly enter into your soul, fill you with grace, and the joy of knowing that you did good in this life. You’re a great mom. Please take that with you when you’re finally OK to go.

Jodie Fosters on her Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Speech

I just died laughing with GaIn’s parody of G-Dragon’s One of a Kind [MV], but specially during Narsha’s dance because THAT WAS TOO FREAKING MUCH. And, of course, I need subtitles.

I was browsing some photoshoots and doing some research, when I ran into this photoshoot for Madame Figaro China featuring Zhao Wei on the December issue of last year. Photographer unknown by me. However, when I saw Zhao Wei, I got a striking shivering reminder of Joan Crawford.

It’s the EYEBROWS.

And possibly the stern expression. Also, Zhao Wei has really big popping eyes (you can’t tell on the photoshoot), but it’s quite impressive on movies.

… been looking for my Olivia Thirlby post [1] of yesteryear.

You’ve been all forgiven.

How… did I not know about this Ayumi Ito appearance??? Oh yeah, I don’t follow AllKPop and nobody in Kpop knows Ayumi Ito. FML. Ayumi Ito starred alongside Lee Jong Suk (As One ???) in the 2011 music video for Longer (롱거) by CHI CHI (oh, these Korean group names…). In it, Ayumi plays a woman whose boyfriend cheated on her with the woman (???) who is Jong Suk’s girlfriend in the story.

I got the album overnight, and I have listened to it a couple of times. I’m beginning to really dig the instrumentalization and the ending of While You’re Sleeping, but I’m still surprised JeA (and her engineer) is choosing to do all her air intakes with the microphone so close to her mouth that you listen to it all. I could maybe understand it if it was only the live version, but it’s also on the album… which is all the more noticeable.

You would have to forgive me as I don’t really follow Ayase Haruka’s career, but she did kinda win me over when she played Saki on that freaking successful jdrama known as JIN [1][2], which got me to give a peak to Ayase’s pop culture oeuvre — Hotaru no Hikari, which okay. No, I couldn’t digest it. So forgive me if I’m late to the party, but- OMG! A WHOLE FREAKING YEAR! 50 episodes of a girl that likes guns? In a period setting. I love it.

Plus it’s got Joe Odagiri at some point in the show.

Yae no Sakura (八重の桜) might be actual must-watch TV (with worthy wait of subtitles) for, at least, ten episodes.
