David Yost came out of the closet with an interview and a shoot for the NOH8 Campaign.

Hi, AfterEllen has a post on women in Boy Style. Ahhh Boy Style [1], I gotta admit dude… wearing slacks and shirts, it’s just so much more comfy than having to wear some dress with high heels.
And yes, Christina Hendricks is pretty awesome.
Christina Hendricks + Spaceships = Geeks dreams? xD

There’s a YouTube version, though there’s a region restriction (SUCK IT).
I didn’t love his debut, and I don’t love this song. However, we’re here to talk about the concept of his video. Obviously, this has tints of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and BackStreet Boys’ Everybody. And I could even argue it also has some 5ive’s Don’t Wanna Let You Go. It’s the whole mansion, goth, death thing going on, with choreography… which I’m down with.
I wish Taeyang had commited to the look. As it is now, it just looks like the girl wakes up from a wet dream, I mean… hot Taeyang is singing/whispering to her while she’s sleeping. In Thriller, MJ committed to the zombie look… in Everybody, Nick committed to the mummy look, Brian became a silly werewolf, Howie was a silly vampire, AJ was the Phantom, and Kevin was Mr. Hyde. Taeyang should’ve commited to a less-Taeyang look.
The choreography was oka-ish. It was really well edited on the first few seconds of the dance inside the mansion, but the dance in the cemetery was kinda boring.
I’m sorry Jakey G. and Anne H.
but Natalie Portman in a Aronofsky film trumps all.
The trailer… is… so… freaky. By the end, it just leaves you with a chill, and a OMG, this is creepy – need to watch this now. I want this to be good so bad, I’m afraid I will be disappointed.
Maybe this trailer will make Natalie get the lead once again on The 20 to Watch?
These are the first stills of Raiou I have found. I love that Yu-chan is like the prince on this batch xD. Masaki Okada is so totally Sleeping Beauty on that second still. LOL Also, not sold on his samurai bald cap.
CinemaCafe has an interview [jp] with Yu Aoi about Otouto — recently released on DVD and Blu-Ray. If someone could give a proper translation of it, that would rock. In the meantime… some of what I think are interesting bits.
Title of the piece is Kotoba ni Dekinai “Kankaku” ga Kanojyo o Tsukiugokasu, which seems to be something like “It isn’t the words, it’s the emotions that motivates her”.
First sub-title, Ii Deai no Renki ni Megumaremashita, which is something like “Blessed with good encounters,” referring to the people she worked with in Otouto [Yoji Yamada, Sayuri Yoshinaga, Tsurube Shofukutei, Ryo Kase], plus I see mentions of Kyoko Koizumi [from Gakuya].
GAH! I really can’t translate more, but the following paragraphs seem interesting. Like the last one about balancing work and free time. My head hurts.
Here’s some more Yu photos =D Like the intro said something about her gentle smile.
Raiou’s main theme will be in charge of singer Maika (舞花), who will be singing Kokoro (心/Heart). In the music video, which was recently shot with Yu Aoi and Masaki Okada in a modern setting.
Also, the two of them are lip-synching the lines of the song in the video. “It’s like the two of us are making the major debut. Next should be performing at a summer festival.”, Aoi commented. Yet when asked to sing by the journalist, Aoi was quick to say. “Ok, please stop. I said some useless things.”

For some reason I found Yu’s comment about the major debut really funny. Must be the bias. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to the song, and the fake lip-sync.
Here’s a sample of Maika’s Oshieteyo ~ miseducation ~
Forgive the lack of respect with the chan and all. LOL
It’s Yu’s bday in Japan already. You want to have a celebration on this post? xD Well, write away. We don’t do anything fancy like bday projects, because frankly those take too much work, and I’m lazy. But I can, at least, dedicate one post… or maybe one day to Yu Aoi postings. xD
So Aug. 17th is Yu Aoi posting day. LOL
I guess I can show you a little, right?
If you missed out that day, here’s what I said about the experience of interviewing Diane Warren.
I’m behind on content. Too many events this week. >,<
