Archives For July 2010

I specialize in a very specific type of exploration~
exploracion subconsciente xD
you talking about dreams. sueños.

Very good! xD

Can you say BRRRRRRRRR?
“BRRRRRRRRR”
Very good!!!

Beginning August 6th until August 14th, exhibiting 4 local pieces — Contracorriente (Undertow), Octubre (October), Paraiso, and Chungui Horror Sin Lágrimas — as well as hundreds of other films from across Latin America.

Highlights not in competition? The Cove (ok, no… not really), A Single Man (!!), Ghost Writer (!!), and okay… The Young Victoria.

Director Mikael Windstrom will be giving lectures in the Festival’s workshops.

More info at the Festival de Lima Website.

and a release date! Feb. 11th (my uncle bday!) LOL

The Coin de Rue website has nothing new yet. Except for the photo of Yu’s mouth about to eat some tasty dessert. Hopefully, a teaser would follow soon. Hmm… dessert. It’s almost like my wish of Yu being on Miao Miao.

Too many Yu Aoi updates this weekend. There’s one more coming~

Anyway, there’s a brand new Raiou Teaser, which I dunno… I feel it’s very teasing. I feel really good about it, to be honest. I feel I’m totally on board of this now, despite my initial doubts.

and I’m lazy~ I’m posting this here too. There’s also a whole bunch of short HD quality trailers for Redline, which now will open on October 9th 2010 (though it doesn’t show up on those trailers). [version 5.1, 4.1, 3.1, 2.1, 1.1]

I grew up with this Donald Duck short. LOL

Oh my gosh~ sooooo many memories, though I can’t remember whether I watched this on VCR, or if my dad had tape it on Betamax first. LOL, yeah. BETAMAX.

In this short, Spike the Bee… now old, reminisces of his friendship with a now old Donald Duck. They met while Donald made a living picking up trash from the park, and then became friends and business partners… until Spike met his now wife. The short ends up telling you “bros before bee-hos”
LOL B-Ho <- Mary Cherry.

Unubore Deka aired its 2nd episode on Friday. ;P

The show tells the story of a detective whose ex-girlfriend is now married to his newest co-worker. Now, for reasons unknown, he always ends up obsessed-in-love with women who turn out to have committed crimes. In the end, he always ends up asking them to choose between marriage to him, or being arrested… without much success for him in his love life.

Well, that’s the best thing I can do without subs.

But no worries!

Unubore Deka is getting subbed by TOMAlicious Fansubs in hardsubs English, Suu no Command in hardsubs Spanish, Haniko’s Fansubs in Hungarian, and Asia Powa Fansubs in French~

In this week’s episode, Yu plays Konuma Setsuko, who appears to be your everyday masseuse. One day Unubore ends up in the massage parlor she works in, and falls in love just by her touch.

A lot of kinky stuff going on.

And you know what’s funnier (weird)?

My dad agrees. Hahahahaha. This is why dad rocks~

So I was showing my dad Jing’s latest music video, and we were agreeing (again) that before you realized that the video was about Cyndi Wang and her dead boyfriend, that it felt kinda gay-ish with Jing waking up next to Wang. Anyway, we ended up searching for Jing’s performances in her idol days…

I’m telling you, JingCastleSubs are the best.

And, OMG! She’s so handsome xD and I told my dad “wow, she looks more handsome than my cousins” and we burst out laughing, coz we always pick on family like this. And then we got sad… just watch the video, awwww just wanna hug her so she doesn’t cry… and then she rubs her eyes – through her non-glasses glasses, so we burst out laughing again.

My dad’s totally having an identity crisis, I just know it. LOL

And you know what’s even funnier??? The first time Jing performs on the show, the host first says “I thought this one was a girl.” Once Jing tells her she is, the host tells her that she’s a little too handsome. She totally is. LOL

Well, I was surfing through Flickr Yu tags, and ended up with a bunch of people who have attended Yu’s 3D Exhibit — someone, namely me is very jealous — ;P

Credits and big thank you’s (and evil eyes~~~ xD) go to inucara, and himohu.

I’ll just let them explain~~~

35mm is a shortfilm about cinema itself. We picked 35 of our favorite movies and tried to simplify them as far as possible. The outcome is a 2 minute journey through the history of film.
Take a close look and tell us if you’ve recognized them all!

I dunno if I saw the 35, it’s most likely that I didn’t.
More like 5 or 10 hahahaha. but I’ve only seen it once.

check it out, and let me know what YOU see.

For the phone interview I did with her.

I’m actually thinking about it, and it seems surreal. I was so nervous, I couldn’t speak any English. I mumbled a lot – at least, it feels like it – and the interview seemed like a mess in my head. However, looking at it on paper, it’s not bad, I think.

But you know how I am, right? You ask me about something I know, and I want to tell you everything about it, so when I mentioned Bibi, and Diane (she told me to call her that) asked me about her, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. LOL But it seemed good, it seemed more of a conversation than an interview…

Diane also found peculiar that I was a Peruvian girl talking to an American songwriter about a Chinese vocalist. “How do you know a Chinese vocalist in Peru?” she asked me. That’s when the fangirl in me came out. Anyway, I’m in a short-sleeved t-shirt, and I’m freezing now at 3am. Transcript is done, and the article… at least, at the moment, has around 2010 words. And! It will show up in issue011 of YAM.

Also, don’t forget we are giving away the pop-up book Uso. by Yu Aoi. If you want to learn how to be able to enter the draw, you’re gonna have to read issue011 when it comes out next month.
