It seems water in California… or the US for that matter is ultra fertile, because everyone seems to be already preggers. It’s nuts! Planned pregnancies? Me thinks not so~ There are such things as condoms, and the pill… u know, loads of things to prevent you from accidental pregnancies. LOL’

This is the smartest move that Amazon.com can do for its users. (full article here)
We have received thousands of e-mails from Amazon customers around the world asking us when we will make Amazon MP3 available outside of the U.S,
We are excited to tell those customers today that Amazon MP3 is going international this year.
I can’t wait for it.
LOL’ I don’t even know if my title would be grammatically correct, but I just wanted to say that I’ve reached my 3-films mark. Yup, that’s right! I finally saw my third film in Swedish today. It all began when I saw Så Som i Himmelen, which is now officially my first Svensk Film… then, also on Cinemax, I saw Den Osynlige – which sadly has already been Americanized. And today I saw Mitt Liv Som Hund, which was fantastic!
So can anyone recommend other Swedish films I could watch? Swedish film and international title on the comments would be appreciated! It’s most likely that Julyssa will comment, but others are welcomed to do it too! xD
Shocking and sad news =( Heath Ledger died from an O.D.
**EDIT**
It’s a few hours after this broke in the news, and I tried visiting some of his fansites, but apparently 4 of the ones that appear in the first page are down. IMDb boards are saturated with Rest in Peace messages, and other forums have dedicated forums.
Nominees for this year’s Oscar nominations were announced while I was sort of sleeping, so I woke up to CNN’s news announcement! Kinda surprising on some categories, but take a look at the list yourself.
Thoughts? Marion and Julie Christie got a nod, so I’m freaking out, ha! It will all be decided next week in the SAG… but still then, it’s not for sure. Moreover, Ellen Page got a nod! I’m happy for her because I loved watching Juno, but I sure hope she doesn’t become my upset. If anyone should beat Cotillard, it should be Julie Christie. Oh yeah, one kind of a surprise was Laura Linney getting a nod instead of Angelina Jolie who had been getting a few more nods this season.
On the animated front, Persepolis against Ratatouille. Interesting who will win, I will give my vote to Persepolis but it’s most likely that Ratatouille will get this year’s Best Animated Feature, as Finding Nemo got it against Les Triplettes de Belleville.
Overall, La Vie en Rose got 3 nods (Best Actress, Best Costume Design, Best Make-up) while Atonement got 7 nods. But that wasn’t enough to beat No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood, which got 8 nods each. People’s fave, Juno, got 4 nods… and Away from Her got 2 nods (including one for Sarah Polley, woot woot). Diablo Cody got a nod for Best Original Screenplay *woot woot*
The biggest surprise for me where the Foreign Film nods, which went to films that others haven’t even mention… which is great because it makes it really interesting to guess!!
It’s another post of why the 90’s ruled! I was certain I had stuff to post, but now it’s slipped my mind. For the other parts, click on the following links:

When I was little, I had the pleasure to watch a lot of Disney stuff… stuff which my dad got hold of god knows how~ I only remember seeing the logo for something called Videorama. The thing is, he got me loads of tapes… Betamax tapes of old cartoons, and later we transfered them to VHS tapes. I got to watch The Sword in the Stone (1963), The Three Caballeros (1944)… oh man! I used to sing (and still sing) along to Os Quindins de Yaya!!! What other Disney… I mean, other than the classics like Snow White, or Sleeping Beauty… or The Little Mermaid, I got the chance to see Song of the South, Mouse Detective… I got the chance to see loads of Disney shorts, now included in the Walt Disney Treasures – Silly Symphonies and More Silly Symphonies~~ like Little Hiawhatta, Mother Goose Melodies, The Grasshopper and the Ants, The Tortoise and the Hare, and Elmer Elephant. I mean, I grew up with those… and miss them loads!
I am of the opinion everyone should grow up watching those to appreciate and understand animation. Anyway, those are Disney of MY 90’s, but here’s a list of Theatrical Animated Disney Releases:
- The Little Mermaid (Nov. 1989) – so this is technically almost a 90’s
- The Rescuers Down Under (1990) – Bernardo y Bianca!!
- Beauty and the Beast (1991) – Modern Classic Disney!
- Aladdin (1992) – Prince Ali! Fabulous he! Ali-ah Bah Buah!
- The Lion King (1994) – Another Modern Classic Disney!
- Pocahontas (1995)
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)
- Hercules (1997)
- Mulan (1998) – I’ll make a man out of you!!
- Tarzan (1999) – This is one of Amy’s faves… the animation is rocking!
- Fantasia 2000 – which was also a 1999 release
Another fantastic Disney/Buena Vista animated film, The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), with one of my favorite characters! Jack Skellington! What’s this!! What’s this!!!
The 90’s also saw the BOOM! of animation master house Pixar (which was founded only 2 days before my birth date, on Feb. 3 1986! **snap**), that released Toy Story in 1995, following it with 1998’s release of A Bug’s Life, and ended 1999 with Toy Story 2.
That was back in the day, when all movie studios didn’t cash in on animation, and left animation to those who knew. Now the market is so saturated, we get at least 10 animated releases, instead of 1 or 2 quality ones. And sadly, 99,9% of them are on 3D, and classical animation has been long left to the sidelines, which is why I’m looking forward to some new Disney animation!
Holy Frijole! A whole why the 90’s ruled on Disney. ha! So I guess it’s fair to say Disney rocked in the 90’s/ Login off now, nites!
This is one of the episodes that got stuck on my mind. I remember watching it on The WB, back when they showed The WB in Lima~ Oh the good times. I think it was the first crossover episodes, but I could be wrong. I felt really strong about this episode because, well… before I knew what a shipper was, I liked Buffy/Angel… and this episode was just so heart-breaking in the end. However, looking back on it~ hotness ensues. Probably one of the best Angel episodes I saw… but take into consideration I was not a big Angel viewer. At least not after Connor (?) was born…
For those of you who don’t know, in this episode where Buffy appears in the Angel show, he becomes human… and Angel chooses what is right, over what is easy~~ Oh you know what he chose! In the episode, Buffy and Angel kiss quite a lot… there’s the kiss when Buffy realizes Angel is truly human, then there’s the kiss… well, you know. ha! Then there are a whole lot of sweet moments between them, and ending in everyone’s tears~
Here are some graphics, thanks to no-address.org for the captures!

Well, continuing with naming best kisses that I began with this kiss post, I thought I could also post about The Notebook. First of all, I was never into watching the film, until I saw it as a download… but I had to admit, I liked it~~ So I’m guilty of watching it again on cable. Ha! Pity Gosling and McAdams are not together anymore ‘coz they made an awesome couple.
Anyway, there are a bunch of kisses on the film, and the ending is oh-so-sad. BUT, the kiss I’m talking about is the one during the “I waited for you, I wrote to you for a year, It’s raining, and I want you” kiss. Hahaha, you know, THAT kiss. Both are soaked with the rain, she’s telling him she waited for Noah, and now it’s too late. And he tells her that he wrote to her, but she never responded, and BAM!
Here’s some simple graphics:
