Since last year, right around the time I changed this blog (I think), I have been eyeing the WordPress theme titled Chunk. UGH. You don’t know how much I wanted to use that theme.
It was so white and had a typographic base. But it’s not available for self-hosted blogs… not that I could find any download easily anyway. My only pet-peeve was that it was a one-column layout and it just reminded me so much of Tumblr. So many WordPress blogs now work like Tumblr.
ANYWAY, so I resigned myself. I couldn’t get Chunk, so I didn’t use it. Throughout these months, WordPress has been releasing a series of themes that I loved much — many of them paid, though — and I just couldn’t find the perfect project to have a paid template for.

Are you feeling the new theme?
It has been a long time since I last did anything important to my blog… maybe a little over two years. I really didn’t know what to do while the WordPress coding has changed over the years. It seemed I needed a new theme with new capabilities… though I do think WordPress has begun acting a little too much like Tumblr~~~
There had been some very beautiful new WP themes (some you need to pay for), when I saw Matala I immediately thought “this is the one.” But I needed to change the graphics, as much as the original theme looked nice… I didn’t want to look like all the other blogs that might be using this theme.
So I was playing around Photoshop… without knowing exactly what I wanted, and ended up with this Dogville, Dancer in the Dark, and Memories of Matsuko mash-up — I call it “Suffering Heroines of Cinema” o “Heroinas Sufridas del Cine” in Spanish~ I almost added Amelie in it instead of Matsuko, but felt she was too off against these two Von Trier characters. LOL
I’m not completely feeling this theme, though. How about you?

You know, it looks fine – but some stuff don’t work yet! LOL I mean, it works… but not as I was expecting. So I need someone to talk WordPress coding and plugins out-loud with — figuratively speaking — so I can have my House “ah-ha!” moment.
Also emailed all YAM readers to see if anyone is interested on becoming Affiliate with us, for the first 3 months it’s a FREE space (though, rotating randomly) on that humongous featured ad. Though, that Kick-Ass poster is puuuuurrrrrfect.
Thoughts, comments? Suggestions?

I need someone to code for me xD
I’m trying to figure out what plugins to add, and decide what I need to code myself. It’s just… headache. In the end, I just began adding the categories and some of the tags we will be using, as well as creating accounts for the YAM team! xD
obviously, I deleted the names, usernames and email addresses for protection. But as you can see… there’s all us… there’s me, there’s our Ghost Writer, and we’ve got a bunch of more ghosts that have no pictures – and there’s LinzerDinzer.
You might not really noticed, since it was just changed in the CSS and ID tags, but I re-arrange some ;)
What you might notice… No more blogroll~~ Now it’s buttons! LOL Also!! You may notice that now we have a prominent button for Google and Yahoo subscriptions!! WEEEEEE~~ That means I want you to subscribe…
If you are a Google user (like me) add me to your Reader… there really isn’t any better way to keep up with updates, I tell you. I have a quite busy Google Reader, and it’s all dandy xD
So please, please~~ especially if you’re interested in Yu Aoi, Juri Ueno, Natalie Portman, etc etc… all the stars I talk about, as well as Award Season. No better way to keep you inform ;)
You enjoy? Hmm… still tweaking, but I think that’s for tonight. I’ve got some French stuff to listen to, and it’s already almost 1a.m. Since it was just a little tweak, I’m thinking… Days of Amy. LOL’

Going back to the other style for a while, in the meantime~ here’s a capture of the new one.
I am thinking of re-styling this place (my mom is also thinking of changing the color of the apartment) – but am undecided. I have 3 pretty different ideas… opinions?
