Last Friends – Prologue – 001
Apparently there’s a manga based on Fuji TV’s Last Friends, it’s set before the show… so I suggest watching the show before this. Anyway, ^Yuuki made some lovely scans (but I won’t post those because they are in Japanese), and suketeru (who also makes the subs for the show uploads, DOMO!) made a translation for it. I took the liberty to make some nice text inclusion, and some changes in phrasing. I think it looks pretty good, almost like it’s real. Take a look yourself! (more…)

My First The L Word Fanart
I got sanely obsessed with Bokeh today, because well… I had been trying to figure out how to make it, until today! Of course, Heart Bokeh is a crowd favorite… So~~~~
Bokeh craze + Sholly crazyness = a Sholly Bokeh Crazy Fanart.

Show Some Luvin’ to Marcia, People!
Way before (film) award season began, I came up with a For Your Consideration campaign for Marion Cotillard, who ended up winning! *woot woot* – the funny thing about the whole thing was that the graphics I made only listed three awards, the Academy Award, the BAFTA and the Golden Globe. Yes, she didn’t actually get the Golden Globe for drama, but she got the one in the Comedy/Musical, to the disbelief of some Ellen Page fans (I’m an Ellen Page fan, but… come on, get real. lol’) – Anyway, I had totally forgotten about the SAG and SHE LOST THAT ONE! Now I’m better prepared.

For Your Consideration: Marion Cotillard for Best Actress
Oh, yeah. Amy first saw La Môme, aka La Vie en Rose, back in her trip to Sweden with dear Julyssa. Movie was in French, with Swedish subtitles… Amy speaks neither. LOL’ – so you can imagine. Anyway, that was a sweet little anecdote with the film, but I just got my DVD today, and re-watched it with proper subtitling that I could understood. ^^ xD
Ever since I saw Cotillard in this role, I’ve felt that she’s got Academy Award written all over her face… I mean, come on! She became Piaf!! She, at least! deserves a nomination for Best Actress. Coming award season, she will need a strong campaign so people don’t push her performance to the back of their heads coming the time of nominations… so Amy decides to campaign for her.
The film came out in the first half of the year, and just recently became available on DVD… usually, studios will release heavy awarded films during November and December to stay fresh in the mind of the ones nominating… this is not the case. Most importantly, the film is in French… it’s a powerful performance yes, but apparently languages are a pretty quite no-no for Academy Awards, lol.
I also found this blog with how the race to the Oscar is going… good read. This person mentions Cotillard, and also another fave of mine, Julie Christie for Away from Her.
But to stay on topic, Amy is campaigning for Marion Cotillard. I first saw her, briefly, on the Tim Burton film Big Fish back in early 2000s – Then, I got the amazing chance to see Jeux d’Enfants (aka. Love Me If You Dare) at the cinemas in Vancouver… which is now one of my favorite films, and then she was on The Good Year, starring Russel Crowe. Marion Cotillard does great in this film, she becomes Piaf and gives her audience a powerful wonderful performance.
You can find, use, and help campaigning by posting and using this banners I made. For Your Consideration: Marion Cotillard for Best Actress.

Have you seen this user?
LOL
I am in desperate search of the following former YouTube user: buffycaz
If you have any idea who he/she is, the whereabouts, contact info… or anything. Let me know!
And, if you are buffycaz – MY GOD! I have been dying since your YouTube account got removed, and the video “bunnies!” got deleted. CRUSHED. Do you happen to have that video of Anya featuring Ballroom Blitz by Sweet? I would love you forever if you send me the video.

The Eyes Rant
I have been listening and re-listening to Marit Larsen’s album (*hint* you can still listen to some of the songs in the music player section) – I bought it almost a year ago, but for the last week I have been hearing 3 or 4 times a day. It just seems so short! It lasts no more than 40min, so when it ends, it leaves you wanting more :P
Anyway, *Amy goes to turn on her disc reader and listen to the CD* – Shoot, even talking about the album makes me wanna listen to it. OK, so I have been listening to it, and felt like doing a portrait of Marit. This is officially my 2nd portrait, and my 3rd digital painting, and my 4th digital artwork – and God! It’s so difficult, I wouldn’t even dare doing it for real with real painting and with real canvases. More power to the real painters out there~
After 13hrs, and maybe 15 plays of the CD, I came out with a pretty decent painting… but it’s always the EYE that screws me over. And I didn’t even have two eyes to screw over like my digital Sooz, which you can see on my DeviantART account. Anyway, here it is…
