Yu-chan is safe.

March 14, 2011 — 8 Comments

Hey, guys~

Just wanted to update for the people that have been leaving messages or sending me emails~ Yu-chan has just updated her website with a message as well as – what seems – cancelled or re-scheduled shows of Minami he.

Check the News section on her site for that info.

This is her message:

In short, Yu-chan’s sending her condolences and sympathies to the victims and everyone in the affected zones, and she urges people to do anything they can to help with donations — including blood — and saving energy.

Something about… not being able to leave Tokyo?

I’m sorry, that’s all I can make out. If anyone cares to translate, please – you’re welcome to do so in the comments.

In the meantime, here’s what you can do to help.

  1. Amy, thank you so much for the news. I’m glad to see that Yu-chan is doing well. Let all of us do our best to help Japan in it’s time of need. Nihon ganbatte!

  2. Thank God she’s alright! Now I have to find out if Shunji is okay!

  3. I actually have a missing that lives an hour south of Sendai, so really didn’t care about Yu. No offense, but do any of us no them? I have a friend that I am supposed to see again in a month. Glad Yu is safe but there is so many missing.

    • @wmcnair370, it is certainly not our intention to frivol the catastrophe, but to many fans, celebrities are the only remote connection to Japan. Therefore, it is the only way they are able to link the events.

I have related family, and people I know in Japan, and they all reported to be fine. It is obvious it’s not the same for everyone, and that many have lost loved ones, and our hearts are with them. Trying to spread the word for donations. Link is above.

  4. Sigh…does anyone think to check twitter? Seems like Shinji is fine an tweeting. People were afraid for Monkey Majik even though Blaise was busily tweeting.

  5. I know, that is the reason I went looking for Shinji. Twitter is a wondefl easy way to find people. Ayu has been tweeting in English and Japanese almost non-stop since the Quake. If you are looking for someone famous Twitter and blogs are your friend.

  6. I think it is http://twitter.com/#!/sindyeye, but I do not know enough Japanese to know for sure. Id have to spend some time on his tweets, yours has way too much English. Looks like one used when he comes to the US.
