I wonder how does this work O_O

Since I don’t own an iPad, I have no way to test this… but sounds like an awesome idea.

If you wanna try it out, visit their website and download the iPad app.

Finally YAM Magazine Website

December 15, 2010 — 1 Comment

I was beat last night. Full of anxiety xD

But it’s finally out. Please, visit yam-mag.com leave a comment and subscribe ;P

O_O

xD

You know, it looks fine – but some stuff don’t work yet! LOL I mean, it works… but not as I was expecting. So I need someone to talk WordPress coding and plugins out-loud with — figuratively speaking — so I can have my House “ah-ha!” moment.

Also emailed all YAM readers to see if anyone is interested on becoming Affiliate with us, for the first 3 months it’s a FREE space (though, rotating randomly) on that humongous featured ad. Though, that Kick-Ass poster is puuuuurrrrrfect.

Thoughts, comments? Suggestions?

Is anyone else having issues with sending messages on Facebook groups? You know that “Message All Members” option. I mean, if I am a member of a group, I know I am subjected to any message the group administrator might want to send me… and yes, that includes links.

Now, if Facebook is a social network… and Groups are a cyber-social way of people who have something in common to share links, comments, news, etc. – why would Facebook block websites? And why our websites? Who is the one flagging my/our URLs? Because it wasn’t only my address on that message I was trying to send.

So in the message, I was trying to pimp YAM’s two new official Facebook officers – Erick over at Toma-Uno.com who’s now the Facebook Second-in-Command, and Linzer Dinzer who’s now added to the Facebook Officer list. Plus, our fave Film hangouts who are on Facebook groups and pages~~~ As well as our latest Cinencuentro article in Spanish and English.

Send.

But couldn’t sent, because Facebook blocked websites. So I changed all the links to ow.ly links, fail again! Deleted the links to the Facebook groups, fail again! Deleted mine! Fail again. Changed Cinencuentro’s to the Facebook URL shortener, fail again! It wasn’t until I deleted ALL the links, that it let me send the message – which in the end is pointless, right? I mean, what’s a bunch of names if there’s no links?

It happened to me once before with YAM Magazine’s URL, so I used the “report this error” link on the Facebook Error Message, but I haven’t been contacted by Facebook, and I’ve read of people still waiting after six months… SIX Months!!!

So I’m asking you this – what to do? should I avoid links? and write things like amy-wong dot com?

Owly Images

Also… on a side note- I was browsing the The WB’s Popular group’s photos, and ended up looking at this photo of April Tuna played by Adria Dawn doing the Star Trek sign, and ended up with a link to Dawn’s actual Facebook profile. Facebook creepy, or not?

A pretty cool setup for digital DJing, with a multi touch screen with a simple – but not so simple – interface for DJs. Now, I wonder how much would installing this in an actual club would cost~~~

Someone. Sponsor. This. Now. xD

New Flickr

June 26, 2010 — Leave a comment

Flickr has been showing their brand new look, at least to Pro members… not sure about regular members, but it’s certain that non-members still see the old design.

New Flickr > Old Flickr.

There’s just so much more space now. And images are slightly bigger.

This looks amazing.

I can’t really test it because I don’t own any touch screen… or use Windows 7. LOL But… you know, it does look pretty kick ass. Visit SoTouch.com for a trial version.

More Opera Live!

May 11, 2010 — Leave a comment

After posting about Rigoletto, the good guys who worked on these Opera Live projects [Peter from Little Miss Robot] have sent word that the second “episode” is now up for streaming for free. More FREE Opera!

With more pretty cool illustrations presented on the trailer for Gaetano Donizetti’s Il Campanello di Notte (The Night Bell). Impossible to miss the chance to watch this… come on! It’s FREE!

And we support great FREE stuff.

Check it out at the OperaLive.org site for a WHOLE month.

Well, color me surprised.

Not only has Emma Watson had her website re-designed with a brand new and clean site, but also it seems she’s finally bought off the previously bought EmmaWatson.com – as you probably knew (or didn’t) Emma’s previous URL was EmmaWatsonOfficial.com, which now redirects you to EmmaWatson.com so someone probably made a bit of money there.

The new site has a lot of very-welcomed white space, really big pictures, and easier navigation. Stuff is easier to find, and it’s probably easier to Google. And did I mention the pictures? There’s a lot of slideshows with her editorials and photoshoots and film stills. Sure, you can’t save it, but you can totally “print screen” them xD

And HELLO? Exclusive commissioned photos? People will probably print screen those too, but it is still nice to know you can rely on the official site to deliver original content.

Emma is proving to have a savvy online presence.

And be very fashion.

And I’m glad she doesn’t tweet.

Now all she needs to do is release a photobook. RIGHT?

Because photobooks are totally pretty. And she can pull it off… release a PB, I mean.
