I just went a bit Sholly-crazy and wrote a bit of dialog that I wanted to share, lol’
It’s set right after Shane finally decides to go after Molly, for a change. Shane’s broken up with Molly, as she leaves LA to follow her internship or continue her Law studies.
Molly sees Shane across the multitude. Shane approaches her.
MOLLY
I’m impressed.
SHANE
I’m impressed myself.
Molly snickers.
SHANE (cont’d)
I know I fucked up, big time. But this is the first time I ever do something like this… chasing after a girl. That’s not me, this is not me, but when I’m with you – I feel different, I feel okay with being myself. You don’t expect anything from me, yet you make me want to be better… just a tiny bit better so I can be good enough for you. I don’t have much to offer, and-
Molly kisses Shane.
MOLLY
I’ll take that, no matter what.
Shane smiles.
SHANE
You didn’t let me finish.
MOLLY
It doesn’t matter, Shane! I know how much you’ve got to offer, and it’s a lot.
SHANE
I’ve got even less than I had, now that I sold most my stuff and left LA.
MOLLY
What?!
SHANE
You see, I told everyone I was leaving…
MOLLY
What did you tell them?
SHANE
That I had to see about a girl.
They smile, and kiss.
ZOOM OUT
FADE TO BLACK.
