Yoji Yamada’s Otouto to Close Berlinale

January 26, 2010 — 3 Comments

According to Asian Movie Pulse, Otouto — which opens in Japan this January 30th — will be the closing title of the Berlin International Film Festival on February 21st.

It will also be in competition against Zhang Yimou’s film San Qiang Pai An Jing Qi (A Simple Noodle Story), Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, and Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer.

Will Yu and Ryo attend the festival? xD

  1. Any word yet on how Otouto was received by the Critics?

  2. Well, I haven’t scouted for Jp reviews, but it reached #4 in the Box Office there, so that’s pretty good, I think. We will have to wait for any reviews by the end of the month. Hopefully, it can win the Golden Bear, or at least the Silver one… and hopefully they can attend the event xD
