August 15, 2010 — Leave a comment

I just spent nearly 2hrs. posting this somewhere else, and I still need to email everyone. LOL

Without further ado,

YAM011.

Sorry, in Spanish only.

Still there are 2 missing xD and gonna get 2 more tomorrow. Hopefully, I will catch up tomorrow afternoon.

I know all about the gays

And they recently released their Hot 100 [plus Top 10 Men of Color, Top 10 over 50, Top 10 Out Gay Men]. So let’s talk about MEN~~~ You know gay men love them guys buffed, most of the times.

So can I just say… some of them are just questionable? xD

Let’s start with Eddie Cibrian [who cheated on his wife and is now dating Leann Rimes, who “se me cayo”], then Milo Ventimiglia [whom after dating Panettiere seems like a total creep], Robert Pattison [whose stinky rumors are now forever plastered in my memories whenever I hear his name], Gerard Butler [who after starring on Dear Frankie and quivering, turned into total skeeze], Kellan Lutz [WHO? Oh yeah, Twilight], Ryan Phillippe [come on… really? multiple cheating is a multiple turn-off], Channing Tatum [enough with the meat already…], Zac Efron [Gosh… I feel I’m hairier than him… and we’re kinda the same age], Taylor Lautner [Okay, that’s just creepy… but then again MOMS dream about him, so I guess you guys are less creepy.], Ryan Reynolds [seriously guys… where is the substance…], and finally David Boreanaz whom I totally loved until recently. Man is a total let-down.

Now that I’ve got my disagreements, can I just say I feel really REALLY proud of Chris Colfer? He made the list, and I feel so giddy for him!

Other notable appearances? Tom Ford, Daniel Craig, Robert Downey Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), James McAvoy, Lee Pace, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taye Diggs, ever on the list even if there’s no movies Johnny Depp, another who’s ever there Brad Pitt, newest addition hottie Mark Salling (Glee)~~~

Olivia Williams! And Samantha… I mean, Kim Cattrall…

As always, I think I’m a little off with the guys. O.o
I feel the list is a bit uninspiring, LOL

Carey Mulligan

That is a photo of Carey Mulligan looking a bit different, but a pretty cool photograph. Who’s Carey Mulligan, you say? Well, I first spotted her as Elsie on My Boy Jack (starring Daniel Radcliffe), but truth be told~ I couldn’t pay much attention to it until her scenes came up.

Where else have you seen her? She was also Kitty on Pride & Prejudice (the one with Keira), and Doctor Who as Sally Sparrow. And she seems to be having a pretty busy 2009~~~ with The Greatest (with Susan Sarandon), Public Enemies (with Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard~~~ Ooh la!), Brothers (with Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Natalie Portman~~~ another Ooh la!), and An Education (by writer Nick Hornby) – in fact, I was checking out The Awards Circuit, and turns out they have her listed for this film as a Best Actress Nomination until now!

Now that’s pretty impressive.

Next-next up for her? Never Let Me Go (by Kazuo Ishiguro… with Keira, and Sally Hawkins) and The Electric Slide (with Ewan McGregor).

Ooh la~~~

The sites AfterElton.com and AfterEllen.com have released their Hot100 list this year, and out actors Neil Patrick Harris and Portia de Rossi top their respective lists. Also in those lists…

Films Seen 2008!

Crossed some films on my “Want to See” list. Continue Reading…

Nicole Kidman as SatineMoulin Rouge is one of my favorite films because of its soundtrack, art direction, choreography, and overall production ++ plus it’s an idealistic angsty story about a courtesan and a pennyless writer who fall in love in the midst of the Bohemian revolution that swept Paris.

Freedom. Beauty. Trust. And above all things, Love.

Nicole Kidman is great in the film, as well as Ewan McGregor and John Leguizamo. Zidler and The Duke are excellent, especially in the “Like A Virgin” musical number. It is very hard not to like and enjoy this film, unless… of course, you don’t like Musicals at all.

Recently, I got my Greta Garbo collection, which includes 10 discs, and over 12 films – which kicks ass. I’m in the third disc, and just finished watching Camille, both the 1921 Silent Film and Greta Garbo’s.

First of all, Garbo was excellent in this film, especially in the last act. And although the Silent version might have been great in its time, I think the story loses subtlety without dialog an the exaggerated facial expressions. That’s why I prefer the 1936 version better ^^

It is such a pity that Garbo was competing against Vivian Leigh, who won the Best Actress Academy Award for Gone with the Wind that same year. Marguerite, just as Satine in Moulin Rouge, is a courtesan who doesn’t believe in True Love, and instead trades her love for diamonds and bracelets, until she mistakes mid-class Armand Duval for a rich Count.
