Archives For masaki okada

It’s supposed to be the short version – remember this? – Well, it’s here.

Have I told you that MAIKA reminds me a LOT of old school Shakira in her Donde Estas Corazon and Donde Estan los Ladrones days? You know, before she turned blonde on me and began doing that thing she calls Shakira music in English? Kind of like Alanis when she became happy. Shakira was the Latin American Alanis.

So I approve of Maika. Must now find if she’s got an album – hmm… kinda reluctant to get a single. But, anyway… remember Masaki and Yu were going to lip-sync? OMG, it’s the cutest thing ever. I hope there’s a long version of just the two of them lip-syncing because that was the highlight of the video.

Bam! I’m into making lists now. xD

To push distributors, and tickle their curiosity, as well as showing them it can also be good business to bring Asian flicks. Plus, cinephiles would love a little more variety in their local theaters, and I bet regular moviegoers wouldn’t mind one or two non-Hollywood blockbusters… after all, we already watch everything subtitled! We don’t have an issue with them like some… other… people.

If Americans (and Canadians) complain about the little variety of Asian films outside martial arts, or auteur cinema – well, really. Stop complaining. It’s even worse down here. If you got 5 releases a year (just an assumption), then we get one… if we’re lucky. Sorry, I’m not so campy with J-horror… I’m a little tired. I must be too old for it now. LOL

Raiou Stills

August 17, 2010 — 5 Comments

These are the first stills of Raiou I have found. I love that Yu-chan is like the prince on this batch xD. Masaki Okada is so totally Sleeping Beauty on that second still. LOL Also, not sold on his samurai bald cap.

Raiou’s main theme will be in charge of singer Maika (舞花), who will be singing Kokoro (心/Heart). In the music video, which was recently shot with Yu Aoi and Masaki Okada in a modern setting.

Also, the two of them are lip-synching the lines of the song in the video. “It’s like the two of us are making the major debut. Next should be performing at a summer festival.”, Aoi commented. Yet when asked to sing by the journalist, Aoi was quick to say. “Ok, please stop. I said some useless things.”

For some reason I found Yu’s comment about the major debut really funny. Must be the bias. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to the song, and the fake lip-sync.

Here’s a sample of Maika’s Oshieteyo ~ miseducation ~

Too many Yu Aoi updates this weekend. There’s one more coming~

Anyway, there’s a brand new Raiou Teaser, which I dunno… I feel it’s very teasing. I feel really good about it, to be honest. I feel I’m totally on board of this now, despite my initial doubts.

and I’m lazy~ I’m posting this here too. There’s also a whole bunch of short HD quality trailers for Redline, which now will open on October 9th 2010 (though it doesn’t show up on those trailers). [version 5.1, 4.1, 3.1, 2.1, 1.1]

Raiou Gets a Teaser

May 14, 2010 — 6 Comments

Woah~ seems like Yu is everywhere this May.
I’m loving it.

Like I’ve said before, Yu’s face on Raiou seems flawless. And she seems more grown up, I was a little taken by that. I feel so proud. LOL even though I’m younger… This is the Yu I like, the one that acts. I’m all over the voice she uses on that teaser. The screaming, it reminds me of Shiro.

Raiou Un-official Snap?

March 29, 2010 — 13 Comments

Well, I was expecting Masaki Okada with that hairstyle… but wasn’t expecting to see Yu so normal… How she manages to look good in rags still surprises me. I mean, she does look adorable in this snap. Her face is going to be flawless on screen…

And… I’m to lazy to try to figure out what this article is talking about.

All I wanna do is see Yu horseback riding =D

The film is based on an award-winning novel written by rookie author and housewife Kanae Minato. Actress Takako Matsu (K-20, Villon’s Wife) plays a dedicated teacher at a junior high school who’s young daughter is found brutally murdered. Believing two of her own students are responsible, she decides to leave the school, but not before a final chilling confession to her class in which she informs them that she’s already enacted her plan for vengeance.

Watch the trailer via Nippon Cinema.

Seems like a good Nakashima-san project.
I’m excited for it xD can’t wait for it…

And that Masaki Okada, he seems to be everywhere, eh!?
