Another Crowd Lu song to make you smile =D

That version makes me smile so much, with the hugging yourself dance LOL. However, if you wanna know what the song says in English you should check out this video here.

Full Cycle YAM – 007

December 15, 2009 — 1 Comment

Congrats, Amy! You’ve made it a year!
Now please, get to work on that website you’ve been talking about all this time.

Yeah, where is Nate? Yeah, that. Nate and I are working on something else, which is nothing at the moment… just a random gig, which will hopefully fuel our bank accounts a bit and let us work on YAM fully for a month or two…

This is Julz 2nd straight cover. Hooray! Omedetou!!!

In it she covered the Stockholm Film Festival… met Susan Sarandon xD, there’s a Q&A with Sin Nombre director Cary Fukunaga, reviews for Precious, Up in the Air, Koreeda’s Air Doll, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo, The Cove, Thirst, Dexter Season 4, Sasameki Koto, Family Outing, Les Amants Papillons, 2pm, Shinee, Rihanna, The Swell Seasons, Crowd Lu and more! Oh yeah! There’s also a Julz BSB concert review of their Worldwide This Is Us tour, and some Eva Ayllon. Coz we love variety…

check it out over here.

I doubt I will catch any more music videos by now, so here is my random list of best music videos in very random categories, because that’s what I do best, I think.

I’m writing as I go, so if I don’t make any sense. Forgive.

Lilith Fair is Back…

December 10, 2009 — Leave a comment

and it’s cleaned up its image…

lilith-fair

Coz that totally doesn’t mean “hippie chick”

Lilith Fair will be back with shows with a kind of a nice variety of music from Chantal Kreviazuk, Colbie Caillat, Corinne Bailey Rae, Emmylou Harris, Erykah Badu, Indigo Girls, Ingrid Michaelson, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige, Sara Bareilles, Sarah McLachlan,  Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Tegan and Sara, Ximena Sariñana.

Yup, that’s right. Ximena Sariñana from Mexico.

That’s pretty cool. Now if only they’d get Regina Spektor, The Sounds, CSS, The Ting Tings, St. Vincent (though I think she was against Lilith Fair),  Marit Larsen, how about some more foreign performers? Loads of Asian female performers… Salyu, Cheer Chen… Faye Wong (yeah, right! I heard she’s coming back on tour next year though!), Utada Hikaru xD

More info over at the Lilith Fair website.

Been backing up stuff, so a lot of stuff seems to have dead links.
cannot think about the time to format. O.o

Just finished moving all my music (because that’s the easiest to move).
know some of them? xD teehee, predominantly Chinese and overall Asian-ness~~~ xD

iTunes - Dec 2009

Well, f*ck me twice on a Sunday.

I was googling Alicia Keys because I needed the name of her album, and came up with the news that her album… out on December 15th (on time for next YAM) can be listened to if you become a fan of Alicia Keys on Facebook. Now, never have I ever become a Fan of x-artist. I’ve joined their groups, but never became a fan… even of Yu. At least on Facebook. xD

Anyway, why am I talking about this? Because I opened the Alicia Keys page… read that I needed to become a fan, and I actually considered becoming one. After all, I can just stop being a fan — so that’s actually a pretty good campaign. One click away and you can stream Keys’ new album one week ahead of anyone. I’m sure there will be people, unlike me, who will click the button and listen to it. I mean, this actually made me consider… I was looking at the page for several seconds, when I usually just delete any Fan Page invitation.

I also just block most applications, unless I’m looking for it specifically.

Well, I certainly don’t keep track with Grammy Awards anymore, so should I be adding the event to my Award Season calendar? Or should I just wait to run into it when it’s airing?

Grammy nominations were announced last night, and I’m glad I’m not the only one wondering why are the Grammy nominations so similar to MTV, the AMA and every other music-related award show? Just take a look at the General Field nominees to see what I’m talking about.

Westlife by Kevin McDaid

December 2, 2009 — 6 Comments

Hello there?
These photos are to promote Westlife’s new album Where We Are, with their single What About Now — BLEH! I know. The titles… *sighs* Why must they use those titles?? Anyway, the photos were taken by Mark’s main squeeze ;P

On my search for 2009 released albums, I stumbled across this post by Layabozi listing 60 Chinese Albums to Show Off — I so need to affiliate with them for YAM. Once Nate gets his crap sorted… Anyway, I digress~~~

They got some people working as musicians or music PR peeps~ to choose the albums to show off as a way to commemorate the 60 years of the Republic of China. Though, there seems to be a glitch on their list because a Hedgehog album seems to be showing more than once there~~~ xD

The ones on the list that I could already be showing off are:

  • Hedgehog – Noise Hit World
don’t mind the no-sense English. It’s a really FUN album.
  • Faye Wong – Restless
  • Khalil Fong – This Love
  • Chang Shi Lei – Niu China
  • Faye Wong – Fable
  • Carsick Cars – Carsick Cars

And I could be adding to my Show Off list…

  • Faye Wong – Faye Wong (2001)
  • Faye Wong – To Love
  • Yuguo – Babel
  • Zhou Bichang – WOW

Though I’m sure choosing a Wang Leehom album would get me some minus points.

This feels like an acid trip.
