  • Yu Aoi in India, GINZA Mag, and Minami he on WOWOW

    It seems like I haven’t blogged about Yu Aoi for a while. I certainly haven’t checked her website, so I’m a little out of the loop.

    The title on this post may be a little misleading. I don’t know whether Yu is in India, but the cover for GINZA Magazine for the July edition seems to indicate something similar… or maybe it will just be “India style”. Who knows~

    While checking Yu’s website, I also found out that WOWOW will be showing a broadcast of Minami he~ it would be super awesome if someone took the time to record that and upload it so we could watch — even without subs. LOL

  • The Three Main Gays in my Life

    Here’s another confession for the LGBT Blogathon~

    What was once changed through literature, shaping individuals through writing, is now — kinda sadly — shaped through what we watch from television (and movies) because nobody reads anymore.

    And so the medium of television becomes the ever important outlet for LGBT themes.

    Television is free — though some people beg to differ — it reaches millions and millions of people through different channels around the world in many languages. Unlike film — you know, the one you pay for to enter a theater or catch at your local film festival — a lot more people watch television, and through it, sometimes watch film — see, television is so powerful even if you don’t watch it.

    It is now, in our day and age (without counting the interwebs), that television plays a strong role into shaping the minds of the future generation of adults — that’s counting me, by the way… I’m not that old — who will hopefully grow into people who just won’t care whether you’re gay or straight or bi or transsexual. A generation that will ask about the need to add a “LGBT” genre tag when… it’s all normal!

    This is my case. I came to know about LGBT issues because of television, which later prompted me to search online and then my world exploded with LGBT entertainment.

  • YAM LGBT Blogathon

    I thought I’d pimp this here too.

  • Meisa Kuroki – One More Drama

    Needle heels should be banned from choreographed music videos.

    Having said that, damn. You know, say what you say KKK-ers — but when races mix correctly, it turns out hot. Meisa Kuroki is one hot mixed-race lady… but she can’t dance to save her life. I’ve never seen Meisa with normal shoes dancing, so I can’t say how she dances normally… but I remember her stint with Flamenco, and she got no swing.

    But she’s got a good vibe…

    I want to root for her.

    But as with LOL, I keep bursting out laughing with this. Even though I kinda liked her Spanish-y guitar intro. I also liked how they did the one eye with different color thing.

  • Yu Aoi’s Updated Wiki Entry

    Oh, man~

    Can you believe it? It’s been three years since. I had a good Yu Aoi weekend. I watched Raiou once again, and it just struck me how Yu-chan is growing up on screen. Those who see the movie know what I’m talking about. LOL

    Anyway, I decided to update Yu’s Wikipedia bio (remember this from 2 years ago?) – but I’m not posting it there because I’m lazy and I hate Wikipedia format, so if you want to take info… take it and paste it there.

    I also wanted to make a PDF out of it hahaha, but of course – I haven’t had time for that. I wanted to do a layout… with photos, and stuff. Make it pretty like a book. xD But oh well…

    Anyhoo~ here goes~

  • Yu is Depressed on Vampire

    Yesterday was a good day to be a Yu-chan fan.

    *cough* subs for Raiou are out.

    The YAM Magazine Weibo account was flooded of Hana & Alice talk – I still don’t know why, but I can’t complain.

    And Acerk messaged me with news of two stills from Shunji Iwai’s Vampire featuring Yu.

    I was really excited.

  • Kou Shibasaki is a Rocking Lady Shogun

    Thoughts on Ooku?

    You know I really really love Kou Shibasaki’s acting (not so much her music), and she was easily the best part in that movie. And it’s not even that scene in which the chambers opened to a sight of pretty men bowing to her, and she tells them they’re a bunch of useless and pretty men. LOL

    Is not even that scene.

  • Kuwazugirai: Yu Aoi vs. Okada Masaki

    The 40min. segment from FujiTV’s Tunnels Thanks to Everybody that aired the day before the opening of Raiou… is actually pretty fun. Plus, Yu Aoi talking about food.

    A popular segment in which Tunnels and guests take turns trying to guess the food the opponent hates the most.

    We need translation for this one xD

    Loads of interesting facts, it seems… like Yu owning a shaved-ice machine.

    And Yu tearing up when laughing. Does anyone get that when they laugh?

  • Yu Aoi x GOING UNDER GROUND – Heart Beat

    How did I not know about this MV until today? LOL It was released in 2003!

    I was going through some of the posts that had lost its YouTube video links, and one of them was this Yu Aoi and MVs posts, and I ended up seeing this video on Tudou, which took forever to load. I wasn’t sure it was a real MV, so I looked it up, and voila! Seems legit~

    Song is okay too! LOL
