  • Cotillard in Lady Blue Shanghai

Well, no wonder I hadn’t heard about Lady Rouge since her appearance in the Lady Dior series’ Lady Noire. It’s because Marion’s been so busy, that they didn’t have the time to make it happen… instead? They made a music video featuring Eyes of Mars by Franz Ferdinand.

*spazz* Marion in a red dress… and Marion in a suit. I’m a little iffy about her singing voice in that song, but the visuals more than make up for any of it. She’s rocking, and looking smoking hot.

It would look so SO good on HD.

But alas… I can’t access the video through the Lady Dior website at the moment.

Anyway~~~ I am posting because Lady Blue has just been released~
and you can view it over at the Lady Dior website.

Directed by David Lynch (Mulholland Dr., Inland Empire).

Look, I like Lynch’s films as much as the next cinephile, and I appreciate his storytelling and the things he does… but seriously? Lady Blue? It looked too much of a student film to be a high fashion piece. I could accept the hand-held camera and the dim moody lights, but the blurry lights (which I usually love) and the whole “this looks all shaky and stuff because it’s not reality” was just too much. I could barely pay any attention to the purse.

Also, you do not get Marion on a Dior piece and make her gorgeousity blurry.

but you know… you can watch for yourself, and have your own opinion.

  • Welcome to Tokyo

A while ago the Tokyo Metropolitan Government commissioned Studio 4°C to make an animated short to promote visiting Tokyo. Available in original Japanese audio with English, Korean, Chinese Traditional and Simplified, Italian, French, Spanish and Dutch, the short is titled Honey Tokyo and tells the story of a girl from the future traveling to present-day Japan to bring back Happiness to her time. A boy named Takeru serves as her guide to different places in the city, doing different activities and learning about traditions.

The short had a budget of around half a million $USD, and can I just say~~~
it’s a really great investment? It just fuels my wanting to go to Japan.

Check it out at the Welcome to Tokyo website.

Great way to mix Art and PR. Tagged as commercial and short! xD

  • Raiou Gets a Teaser

Woah~ seems like Yu is everywhere this May.
    I’m loving it.

Like I’ve said before, Yu’s face on Raiou seems flawless. And she seems more grown up, I was a little taken by that. I feel so proud. LOL even though I’m younger… This is the Yu I like, the one that acts. I’m all over the voice she uses on that teaser. The screaming, it reminds me of Shiro.

  • Boy Can Sing Paparazzi

Just saw a glimpse of these on the tv, so I had to look it up.

Boy is pretty good. Let’s hope he keeps his voice, because… you know, he’s like 12? Plenty of time for changing voice, smoking, drugs and booze – those can mess up one’s pipes.

If he’s smart, he’ll make it out of his teens.

And he’s totally better than Bieber, the Jonas bros, or Miley for that matter.

Some non-Disney record company… scoop him up already!

  • The Greek Crisis Explained Animated by NoMint

Well, it sucks to be Greek at the moment.

    I mean, you guys, seriously.
Suck it up like all of Latin American economical crisis

  • Lee Hyori and her Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Six Pack

Hyori-unnie, I really like you as a person, but I’d trade those high heels you got on for some comfy sport shoes and a rocking choreography. I really like when you start the car-thing, but really… those high heels don’t do anyone any justice on the dance floor.

Having said that, the net is BUZZING because you appear to be packing-a-six with you.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t see the six-pack even on HD, so if you wanna see the six-pack Hyori-unnie is showing off, you’re gonna have to head over to All KPop. If you want my “professional” observation, those abs are make-up. She’s got them, don’t worry… but those six she’s showing off on that screencap are too cinematically perfect. Yes, she’s got a hot body. Yes, she can totally kick ass on any Pop princess around the world.

Do I think you can have a Six-Pack-Off against Pink?

Maybe… we are in need of a six-pack assessment~~~ xD
After all, Pink has a MEAN six-pack.

  • Namie Amuro vs. Janet Jackson – FIGHT!

So you know I don’t worship Janet Jackson. Okay, maybe a little.

Okay, now that THAT is out of the way. I was reading that Namie Amuro topped the random polls of “female singer with the best dancing skills“, ahead of BoA… who barely made the list. I thought to myself “Wow, she must really be something”. Because even if I don’t appreciate BoA for all her BoA-ness, I thought she totally killed it with her video of Eat You Up (even if the lyrics are pretty rubbish).

So this is my total non-biased opinion.

I YouTubed Namie Amuro, and  came up with THIS performance for Girl Talk, which has over 100k views. Totally NOT impressed with the dancing. But something else called my attention.

  • Street Fighter: Legacy

It’s not much a short, as it is a clip of pretty cool fighting. However, this Street Fighter: Legacy feels 100 times better than that film of Chun Li, and the previous Street Fighter movies Hollywood tried to cash-in. I do still have a soft spot for the anime series though… I mean, I do own that on DVD. LOL

Some really nice moments here and there, but still… for the 3min, there is something off about the quality that I don’t quite like. The fight is pretty awesome though.

  • Musical Sequence Funny Dance Off!

I know Glee has much MUCH more budget than Popular ever did, so we are judging on funny. Sure, Glee doesn’t make up songs, but still it’s great when they don’t take themselves too serious. Though, I am a sucker for their Keep Holding On, even if I really disliked the Avril Lavigne version one. Also their My Life Would Suck Without You – you know what I think of Kelly Clarkson’s music. Meh.

So I was looking for a funny Glee performance… I was gonna choose Sex You Up, but I thought the kids should fight it off with the cast of Popular. Bring it!

  • M.I.A – Born Bree

Wow, violent films have completely effed me over.

Viewer discretion is advice, as the video contains extreme images of violence, and some very little nudity. But would you feel sick, if I tell you it was only one instance in the WHOLE video when I actually flinched?

Definitely a candidate for Most Talk About Video of 2010.

    music video > music, though.
