If you were a fan of The WB’s Popular, you were probably a fan of its music… or at least a couple of the tunes. Anyway, back in the day… I was probably a big BIG fan of the show, proven by this:
Looks pretty darn good, non? I made it, actually… this backcover looks much better than the cover, because obviously I spend 3-times more hours on it. I even took the trouble to find the Warner, Sony Music (why?), Columbia (why?) logos, and the text I got from some Warner Music albums I own.
This is the tracklist I made in 2001, I probably have a whole bunch of other tracks, so now it will likely be a double-disc. Shall I work on a Vol. 2? xD

Will You Marry Me? is the only poorly ripped from TV track. Care to add other tracks in the show that were on the original broadcast? I know of some… Actually, take that back. I found the post back up~ Will post that up later…

I think I have most of the tracks, but Season 2 information is very lackin’ - If you’ve got song info from the original broadcast that is missing, please post away~~~ xD

Just got back from watching Get Smart, the television-show-based film starring Steve Carell, and Anne Hathaway… alongside The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) and Alan Arkin. I did not expect watching this, so when I was invited, I took my dad who is a fan of the show. He liked it, but he’s not die-hard fan - we thought it was pretty funny. I actually heard him laughing throughout.

The date, September 1999… It was a Wednesday on The WB channel. I was getting ready to watch a new episode of Charmed, because I was (and still am) a fan of the supernatural. So as I used to do, turned on the TV at 7-ish in the evening, while doing some homework… re-runs of Friends and Caroline in the City would be on, and I would watch more than doing my actual homework, ha! - But that day… 29th of September (according to Wikipedia), Popular began. It was 8 pm. I’m guessing, and the show began as two ‘teens’ began talking in a diner. Summer vacations were over, and both were discussing the issues of teenage beauty. Is Sam foxier than Brooke McQueen??

I began watching a new old set of tapes (for archiving purposes), and I managed to go through 2 tapes… so that was like 9 hours… in 3 or 4, lol. Anyway, During the viewing, I saw a few clips where Carly Pope was featured, like 25 Hottest Stars Under 25 (by Teen People) which she shared with Brendan Fehr (from Rosswell). Were these two together??? And also, Carly was on 2000’s Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice Awards alongside Leslie Bibb, and some dude from Nickelodeon. Carly had crazy hair back then, lol… and she seemed very catty-friendly with the dude. I thought that was weird because I didn’t remember that at all.
Anyhoo… I got melancholic about seeing her work on time, because she’s been doing a lot Canadian indie films that I don’t get to see. She made Young People Fucking in 2007, and according to someone on the boards it was gonna be a limited release on April 18 this year, but haven’t heard anything about it. I mean, it took me 3 years to get to watch Eighteen and Everyone… and when I was still in Vancouver I was lucky enough to watch Hamster Cage at the movies (Fifth Avenue Cinema ROCKS) and I even got to see Larry Kent (the director of the film) after the film… how awesome is that? Vancouver was great for Carly Pope viewing because I also got to watch a rough cut version of Break a Leg Rosie, which was a surprise because I was not expecting to see Carly at all!
Just a few days ago, I saw a re-run of Dirt on tv, and Carly was there playing Garbo. Hotness. I still have mixed feelings about the show, but being a big Greta Garbo fan… and a big Carly Pope fan, it all makes me giddy to the point of no return~~ And I think it’s fantastic that she’s taking classes, and continuing her studies… and according to her Wikipedia, she IS fluent in French, Italian and Spanish. Though, you never know… it might be the whole same issue there is with how many languages Natalie Portman is fluent in, LOL’
Anyway, I leave you with a lengthy interview that Curve Magazine did to Carly on 2007, I’m guessing. Great read, WORD.

‘Nuff Said. 
I’ve heart Christopher Gorham since I saw him on Popular. I’ve always melted while seeing him on screen, ha! and I’m so glad he’s doing so good as Henry on Ugly Betty.
But I saw him first!! Ha~ xD
We can all be jealous of Anel Lopez-Gorham. She’s so lucky, eh?
