More Yu

Yu Aoi - July09 More InterviewOver at the Yu Aoi LJ Comm, there are brand new scans with an interview title “All About Yu Aoi” [insert Lily Chou Chou reference in here]. Scans are okay-ish size for photos… but knida makes it difficult to read or “try to read” as I call it. Plus, they have watermarks that make it even more difficult for me to try to get kanji xD

Sucks to be me.

Anyway, I did manage to get some of the titles and sub headings to get myself an idea of what’s going on here.

It goes something like this…

It has to do something with her success as an actress, and… her happy face (???) but yet precocious nature? xD – What’s the deal?  “Now, we all know “All About Yu Aoi””

Pun intended. LOL

Then, I think… they talk a bit about her views on this beautiful world (?), how awesome it is to work with Kyoko Koizumi (referring to the Gakuya play), how awesome (or how it makes her happy?) to have Scone in the mornings. As well as… opinions on Love? (Koi, Ai… Suki and Aisuru) – Ecological issues? ~~~ ?

Something to do with movies and journies and searching? And wait, wait… funny part.

とにかく食べることが大好き　（笑）。
Tonikaku taberu koto ga daisuki (wara?).
I generally love to eat (laughs).

LOL. I can get that.

ANYWAY. Any proper translation would be welcomed! ^^

The New Green Deal with Juri-chan – Twitterview with Ivan Simeon

I thought I was being a smartass by calling this a Twitterview, but FRAK! I’m late… this is what happens when you think Twitter is not for you. ANYWAY!

The Juri Ueno LiveJournal community just posted a brief Twitterview – more like a casual chat – with Ivan Simeon who is the photographer for the newest Juri-chan photographic adventure titled

And hooray for Happy Accidents!!!

My assistant messed up and the b&w pictures became green! She throwed it away and I fished it out of the bin and thought: Wouawww! That looks great. Than we worked hard to find again the combination which by accident gave this strange colour!

Actually, it seems like this interview I posted here (with crappy translation) took from the Oricon interview – but I’m too lazy to check, so you get the picture~

Well, Kawaii Joyuu (Cute Actresses) has a better translation than I could ever do of it~ dozo~

— What was your reaction when you got the offer to voice “Ikechan”?

I was surprised about a lot of things. Up to now I played boys or girls, often not even close to my age, but this time it’s a person that can’t really be called a person. First of all I was surprised about the visuals of Ikechan, it’s a thing that can’t be grasped at all and I though, “I’m supposed to voice this?” I think it’s an interesting experiment to turn a Saibara picture book into a live-action movie. That’s one reason why I immediately wanted to do it and I felt very honored and happy that they want to entrust such an importent character to me.

See… MUCH better than my stupid translation. LOL

Also! I’ve been translated into Vietnamese (though I almost said it’s Thai) – so…

Jounetsu: Yu Aoi

Who rocks? Well, commenter aoinohoho~~

He found the interview I was looking for… almost half a year ago. O.o
Only it’s divided into two, and has Chinese subtitles instead. Video embeds after the break!

Show is called Jounetsu (Passion) and they followed Yu around when shooting some Hula Girls, promoting Honey & Clover, getting her driving license, renting/buying films to watch, kid Yu, etc etc… the segment aired on September 2006.

Did you read the Advocate interview she did?? I just died laughing with this quote…

Oh, Amy! The interview was fun~~~~ xD and she goes on to say this;

… I like children to have nice manners and a lot of boundaries. My hope for my children is that they’re happy, and my hope for myself is that people want to be around my children.

*sighs* where ARE those kind of mothers these days???

Top Runner: Yu Aoi

Ok… YouTube sucks. The video I was looking for says “deleleted by user” – it is most likely YouTube told the user to remove the video. Though, there is a slight possibility that the user removed it himself… less likely, but still possible~

Anyway, in the case anyone was wondering. It was a 3-part-video of Yu Aoi being followed around for some time (a month maybe?), and they showed two photos of when Yu Aoi was little (one in a tutu, and the other sitting in a classroom), they also showed her in a video store (renting or buying?) looking for dvds, and they showed a whole bit on the making of Hula Girls… even showing the part when Yu re-shot her solo dancing sequence. Other bits of footage showed Yu studying, something about driving, and something related to the death of her grandmother (or another relative?), which made her a bit emotional on camera.

You have any ideas on what show it is? and the link??? Please, leave a message. For the time being, I will leave you with this interview from the NHK talk show, Top Runner from when Yu was 19 years old (2004?) after the break.

TalkAsia Editions You Might’ve Missed

I know, my sucky last post that begun as a notification of less buying, turned into reporting that Anna Tsuchiya will (or was) on this week’s TalkAsia. If my calculations were correct, it aired today at 8AM, when I wasn’t really up yet… so I’ll be catching it tomorrow at 8PM instead.

I was reading a post over at the boards, and found that Yuuki provided a link to an English-translated  Juri Ueno interview for the latest issue of Nikkei Entertainment Magazine. Juri can be so charismatic~~ LOL’ but apparently it only works on girls. Let’s face it, girls~~~ Boys or most of boys have RUBBISH taste in women… case and point all those guy magazines, such as FHM. It’s a really insightful interview in which she discusses her latest film (GuGu), her acting in Nodame, Last Friends~ Here are some quotes;

“Rather than films, I grew up watching variety shows most of the time (laughs). Refining or adorning myself, I still don’t have much interest in that area. But in this era, the scope of what being ‘an actress’ is have widened greatly haven’t they? In the olden days, being an actress means you have to be beautiful and ladylike else it won’t be possible. Now, there are even roles like Nodame, and because of that, even someone like me is able to be one (laughs).
