Archives For interview

One of the highlights of Glee — besides the over the top sap, musical numbers, and teenager-ness — is how crass Sue Sylvester is. I still worship the “Yes, We Cane” line.

Anyway, on a very candid 30-min interview, Couric asks pretty much everything about Lynch, from her beginnings as an actress, on why Glee is such a big hit, and why people love Sue Sylvester. My favorite bit of the whole thing? Couric asking Lynch about people that can’t accept gay people. Lynch’s response?

There are some people who will never shift. And that’s OK. They’ll probably be dead soon.

Totally burst out laughing.

Hello? Yu Aoi is waiting for TalkAsia xD and TalkAsia is waiting for our questions, I have decided to leave the questions opened until the end of April. =D

Read the latest interview from Rolling Stone magazine?

Those are the scans… 5 pages, but if you’re too lazy to read~~~ This is what Lainey had to say~~~

Anyway, a lot of people thought the journalist was offside. Inappropriate questions, tried to make the actors uncomfortable, ended up getting meangirled at the end of the day as a result.

Whatever.

I loved it.

Because his behaviour shaped the story. And his behaviour made it so much less safe and boring. His behaviour brought out a much more authentic side of the stars, ALL OF THEM. Lea Michele is a narcissistic humourless bitch, Cory Monteith is a con artist and a skilled dodger (which totally makes up for his bad pants) with a shady past, and Dianna Agron is a tight ass prude. It’s AMAZING. And so is Jane Lynch. Who has no patience for silly high school games and will cut a motherf-cker for wasting her time. As for the heartbreaking Chris Colfer, well, he may have the attitude, but he has to follow a locker room code too.

As for me? I was a little amused by Monteith’s story… kinda worrying all his past. Agron seemed normal… a little pompous (the story about the guy who can’t say “I love you”?), Lea… seemed annoying and pretentious. If you’re calling someone a whore, make it funny.

And well, Chris Colfer was endearing, but he did need to stop talking about the grudge. The interviewer WAS annoying though, but I guess most interviewers should have their annoying shades to actually ask people about their private lives.

I mean… reall~~~ “Entertain us????” *rolls eyes*

Sue Sylvester meangirls the best. =D

Dude, there’s still time! One week!

For more info, read this post.

Ask Yu-chan 5 questions, what would they be?

Since the If Only picks are already done [but you can still send your 5 picks, if you haven’t], I was thinking on how to keep you engaged… alongside Acerk we discussed a couple of ideas regarding more film work. But I thought this would be more approachable for everyone… since every fan has at least one question they want to ask their idol.

Imagine you win a contest where you get to interview Yu-chan, this will help you get questions ready! LOL Or… imagine some reporter is interviewing Yu-chan, they should totally use this post xD

A couple of rules~

– Send me 1 to 10 questions
– No questions about her private life. [eg. dating]
– Send the questions in English

If you’re interested leave a comment on this post by April 15th the end of April. Your comment must have a valid email address, otherwise I won’t be able to contact you. Or you know, if you have my amy-wong.com email you can send your questions up-front.

After everyone sends in their questions, I will put the most asked questions in a list while also picking the most interesting ones [even if they’re asked only once], so make’em good, people!

I would tell you I have something special for the fan with the most original/interesting (set of) question(s), but sadly I don’t have anything. I don’t have a budget to give away anything. D= So you only get the chance to fandom participate… and hopefully some nice journalist will get this and get to ask Yu interesting question on our behalf. xD Because I support the Creative Commons hahaha.

We Are More by Shane Koyczan

February 15, 2010 — 3 Comments

One of the most “proud to be Canadian” moments at the Winter Olympics Opening, even if you’re not Canadian, was the moment Canadian slam poet, Shane Koyczan,  took the stage with his “love song” to Canada “We Are More.”

CTV took some time to catch up with Shane after his presentation.

How does that feel?

I’m honestly flabbergasted. I don’t know how to react. All I can really say is thank-you, and those words never seem to suffice because I want to express the totality of my gratitude, but I don’t have much more to offer than thank-you. I guess it’s like I said in the poem: please and thank-you.

Tina Few will be gracing the cover of Vogue on March 2010, with photographs by Peruvian photographer Mario Testino. Funniest part? Fey’s Testino accent…

“You look like Stephanie Seeeee-mour.” Her favorite moment: “At one point I was posing for him, and he was talking from behind the camera and he was like, ‘You have to fliiiirt, darleeeng. You have to bee-leeve you are wuuuurthy to be on the cover.’

On the interview she covers normalcy, hand-me downs, mom jeans, power-suits, award season fashion, wardrobe on a movie set… her new film, and much more.

I just ran into an interesting piece where Allison Loui-Garcia asked a bunch of kids about some stuff that may have defined their ten years of life. Some of those questions involve pop culture, news events, baby one more time, napster, dial-up, 9/11 and their fears.

We usually hate most children on this website, but the answers are interesting and somewhat adorable.

Also, what kind of mom buys her kid an ipod when he’s 2 years old? Lady, you’re supposed to get noisy headaches when you have children. You’re supposed to play tag and hide & seek with them and all those kids games.

Congrats, Amy! You’ve made it a year!
Now please, get to work on that website you’ve been talking about all this time.

Yeah, where is Nate? Yeah, that. Nate and I are working on something else, which is nothing at the moment… just a random gig, which will hopefully fuel our bank accounts a bit and let us work on YAM fully for a month or two…
