I wanted to do a quick ranking for the Time Machine Blogathon, so I thought it was fair to rank only the seasons that I followed, which ended after the destruction of Zordon [1] back when Power Rangers in Space was done. Despite my watching of seldom episodes of Lost Galaxy, and even more random episodes of Lightspeed Rescue… maybe Time Force (can’t be 99% sure if I’ve watched that one), and OBVIOUSLY~ Dino Thunder (because Tommy was in it, xD), I feel the proper thing to do is to rank just those first few couple seasons while highlighting my favorite moments, my least favorite ones and stuff.
First things first~
Aquitar Rangers
Though not strictly a season on Power Rangers, I gotta give them a special mention as my least favorite rangers of the ones I’m ranking because I just hated that they had to come in because the others were turned into little kids. I don’t know why I didn’t like the little kids — being a little kid myself — but looking back on it, it feels like a cheap cop-out to have more rangers thrown into the Power Ranger universe.
The only highlight with their inclusion was that the leader was a girl. I haven’t seen that in others (certainly not from the ones I followed), but feel free to correct me.
So~~~ Bibi’s got a brand new Chinese epic song that she’s done for some video game, and her voice sounds perfect. xD And since the lyrics of the song are tiny (just a few lines), I decided to give them a go.

So here’s the song: Video is out~
Well, I wasn’t too far off the mark ;P
I’m back on the Spanish song translating business. xD I hope someone find these translations helpful. I have a feeling that the lyrics on this album are going to be slightly more difficult to translate than the ones on Entre la Arena y la Luna. We’ll have to see about that~~~
I remember in 1999, I was obsessed with this song — at least, it was one of the many songs I obsessed over in those years. It has nothing to do with the video, even though I probably taped the video a million times over on VHS. Hey! We didn’t have YouTube back then!
The video is… very 90s Latin America. Floating face hovering on top of the movie — because Recuerda was the main theme song for an Argentinean movie called La Venganza. You would notice the use of Mistral in one of those scenes. It’s hilarious to watch the video now.
The song is pretty simple in lyrics. Diego Torres is an apt vocalist and songwriter at times, but nothing too extraordinary, so his songs tend to be easier to translate. He’s got some pretty good singles, though. (more…)
I’m still a little unsure on one of my main details, though, and that’s whether I want Meisa Kuroki as Carmen — the hot Latina who sizzled people’s screens and made Shane go Loco (I’m sorry for the cheesy bad writing, but The L Word deserves this cheese)… or whether she should play Molly — the no-longer-straight law student who wouldn’t fall for Shane’s game, so I’m hoping to be able to make a reasonable mish-mash of the both of them.
