On #5 of the Actors list is none other than Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe.

daniel-radcliffe

Say what, you say. Yes, Daniel Radcliffe. Despite pretty much only working on the Harry Potter franchise, with other few projects here and there, he makes it to half list. Why? Because he wants it. He wants it bad, and he works hard for it because he knows he can’t just wait for things to come his way.

December Boys was okay, decent movie. My Boy Jack was okay too. But his choice to bare it all on Equus, and saying he wants to play gay (or transvestite, internet is unclear on the quote) on film, makes me think that he might as well end up playing a role similar to Macaulay Culkin with Party Monster, which would be very welcomed.

He seems to be involved on the film The Journey is the Destination about the life of photojournalist Dan Eldon. Radcliffe also seems interested in working the theater business with a Broadway appearance on the 1960s musical, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Worth keeping an eye~

for one thing or the other~~~

We are halfway through the list of 20 Actors Between 20-25 to Watch Until They’re 30, so it’s time to stop for a minute and talk a little about the few actors… or in this case, actresses that didn’t make the list for different reasons.

You should know that I’m writing as I think of those names and reasons, so I’ve got nothing planned. Forgive the possible lack of photos, lack of other info and ramblings.

Why am I singling out “actresses” – well, mainly because I already have a few of their names right on the tip of my tongue, and like I said before… my list of guys was very limited from the get go, but don’t worry. I will also talk about guys. LOL

So finally~~~ The bottom 5 of the Top10 actors you should be watching until they turn 30. And here’s another asshole. Because there is a 95% chance that he is a douche with all those reports and things he says. Plus, he’s short… that’s probably where the bad attitude comes from.
Not everyone can be Tom Cruise.

You may ask why he is ahead of freaking Shia LaBeouf, after all LaBeouf has 2 franchises – but those are pretty boring franchises. Skull wasn’t that good of an Indiana Jones film, and Transformers 2 was rubbish. ANYWAY, why is Hirsch on #6 of the list???

Emile Hirsch

His jump from TV to the big screen was on The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (with Kieran Culkin, Jena Malone and… Jodie Foster!) — so that’s pretty awesome. He later was placed into the spotlight with The Girl Next Door sharing screen with Elisha Cuthbert  (oh, what the heck happened to you) and Paul Dano.

He’s also been involved on Imaginary Heroes (Sigourney Weaver, Jeff Daniels, Michelle Williams),  Lords of Dogtown (with a whole bunch of people including Heath Ledger and Michael Angarano), he later should’ve been nominated for his role on the Sean Penn’s directed film Into the Wild, and became part of Milk sharing the screen with Penn himself.

So that’s freaking impressive, liking his attitude or not. Would I dish my hard earned cash on someone who’s such an asshole? No, I wouldn’t. This is why Hirsch’s thing isn’t a blockbuster. But is it worth keeping an eye on the roles he chooses? Yes, he has chosen interesting projects since he left the small screen for the silver one, and there is no reason why he shouldn’t be looking for other roles like that.

And no. Hamlet is not a brilliant idea, but Hardwicke could make it work.

Gosh~ I was so unwilling to add Shia LaBeouf, but I know I must suck up my subjectivity, and just freaking add him despite me not really liking him. He’s pretty annoying when he talks (after all, he’s one of those new generation Disney kids), but I’ve watched a couple of his films, and yeah… whatever, he’s got 2 franchise under his belt.

Shia LaBeouf

So why is he on my #7 spot, if I hate him so much? Some small reasons. The first, he was on A Guide to Recognizing your Saints. And he’s also showing up on New York, I Love You — but at this point who isn’t, right? Anyway, those two movie choices tell me that he is willing to do something else, and given that Hollywood seems to love him, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s receiving every script that’s on the market. Huge possibilities right there~~~

Oh, Jamie, Jamie Jamie. You were Billy Elliot, I had a huge crush on you – I think you dated Evan Rachel Wood, and also pissed away your charisma by saying you didn’t wanna do a film related to a musical ever, unless it’s something like Moulin Rouge! 2 — which is in itself a very bad idea. With all of that, I still find his projects interesting and this is why I’ve put him on my #8.

jamie-bell

First he did Billy Elliot, then he got to work on a written-by Lars Von Trier project, which puts him very high on the pretty cool career choices list. Then he worked on The Chumscrubber, and later on Hallam Foe (aka. Mister Foe) which was another pretty interesting choice of role.
He even worked with Clint Eastwood~~~

So now how about taking back that thing about musicals, and show you’re not afraid of getting pinned as a dancer and “light-hearted” entertainment. I know you’d be brilliant in Cabaret. LOL

Continuing with the guys’ countdown – on #9, Hayato Ichihara!
Again, he is not known outside the Japanese film/drama watchers, but if you really wanna get cracking just watch All About Lily Chou Chou to see why you need to keep on watching what roles he is willing to choose.

Hayato Ichihara

Now, I haven’t seen Hayato in much as of lately, other than that Jounetsu interview they did this year. However, I know how well that program worked for #2 The 20 to Watch fellow actress Yu Aoi. So the fact that they are doing one on him now should probably tells us something~~~

He’s won Best Newcomer in 2004 for his role on Worst by Chance, playing a guy that must learn how to deal with the stigma of being half Japanese and half Korean. The fact that he chose to work on this film, and All About Lily Chou Chou should already make you curious what other stuff he would like to choose given the opportunity. Of course, it also helps that he has that aura that exudes boyish charm (even if his character is a total klutz) like in the film Rainbow Song. So be sure to watch his films!

So let’s begin with some of the guys, whom I must say were a lot harder to spot. Even in my final list, I feel maybe I could have done a little bit better. Let’s just hope the guys step it up, right?

On the #10 position!!!
Anton Yelchin~~~

Anton Yelchin

Yelchin has already been spotted before in this blog – it is no small feature to have shared the screen with actors like Anthony Hopkins, and Morgan Freeman~~~ He’s also appearing on a segment of New York, I Love You (alongside James Caan, Blake Lively, and fellow The 20 to Watch actress Olivia Thirlby). Add to that, small roles on the Terminator and Star Trek franchises, and I’m pretty much sold.

Plus, he’s been directed by, and sharing the screen with Jodie Foster now.
And he’s only freaking 20 years old~~~

Chris Colfer

Certainly, Chris Colfer is something. He’s so adorkable!!! He’s so great as Kurt on Glee, I just want to squish his face xD – He hasn’t done much else except from this project with Ryan Murphy, but it’s a great start.

There’s nothing much left to say so… just watch Glee. xD

Last episode, 1×04 (Preggers) was so great because of him.
I just wanted to hug him forever x’D, you will too~~~

Let’s Pimp some Shugo~

September 11, 2009 — 1 Comment

Shugo Oshinari is freaking 28 years old! WTF, man!
He’s almost 30, looks in his early 20s still and totally lacks fangirls.
And I mean like “good” fangirls the ones who work hard
to get whatever scans, whatever movie, and work on whatever needs subbing. LOL
You can’t really find many good scans, screencaps…
etc, etc… everything fandoms love to fuzz about.

This week I was thinking about making a compilation of 20 actors (women and men) between the ages of 20-25 to keep track until they’re 30. I tried writing the post today, but it turns out I don’t have many names. Ha! First, some of the people I was considering adding to the list are 26, or not even 20… or are already in their 30s, which is great for them since I thought they were in their 20s… not so good for my list.

At the moment though, I have 8 actresses already picked out. However, I’m missing 2 more actresses. And I’m missing all of the guys (10). HAHAHAHA. So I need help. Leave a comment with some names of young actors/actresses.

Just some things to keep in mind…

  • must be between 20-25, can also be turning 20 this year.
  • must have more than one or two films on her/his CV.
  • too much TV and only 1 film doesn’t count.
  • award recognition is nice, but not mandatory.

As I add the people in single posts, I’ll be adding their names here and linking. :)
