  • Natalie Portman + Elizabeth Bennet + Zombies?

    What?

Seems like that rumor wasn’t really a rumor.

Variety (hence, also NP.com) is reporting that the adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a go, and that Natalie will be playing Elizabeth Bennet with zombies running around. Maybe it’s like Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley version) mixed with Fido.

To be perfectly honest, though… I think I got into reading too late, as I do not appreciate Jane Austen as I should. This is the part when Julz gasps in emotional distress. Yes, there are books that should be read when you’re younger, so they make the perfect impact… like The Diary of Anne Frank.

So I’m so on the fence for this project.

  • Glee Quote of the Week – S01×13 – Sectionals

I dunno what to do about the Glee Quote of the Week now that Glee is off until April. APRIL! For the love of God!!! What am I supposed to do until then, uh? Tell me.

Glee - 1x13 - Sex is not dating.

    Santana: Sex is not dating.
Brittany: If it was, Santana and I would be dating.

    *awkward silence*

LOL. That was so awkward, and so phunny. But the whole episode was soooo funny, especially the part about the judges. Oh but you gotta watch the whole scene play out. And I’m so totally convinced Rachel has a little Mary Cherry in her too. She also has (psychic) powers! LOL

  • Disney Princes Doing the Sexy

OMG. This is so bizarre. Someone took the time to make these illustrations of Disney’s famous (or not so famous) princes (or even not truly princes). A series which include Aladdin, Eric (from The Little Mermaid), David (from Lilo & Stitch), Hercules, John Smith, Prince Phillip, Tarzan… many more and…

Prince Edward? Omg, it’s James Marsden! LOL

  • Glee Quote of the Week – S01×12 – Mattress

    Late quote, anyway~
I was listening to the Glee OST *sings*
I’m having trouble accepting there won’t be Glee for months.

Glee - 1x12 - Break into the Business

    *cries*
I can cry on demand. It’s one of my many talents. I am very versatile, and aside from nudity and the explotation of animals, I’d pretty much do anything to break into the business.

so true, Rachel. so true. LOL

  • Hana & Alice – Kit Kat Vol. 1 & 2

Found these ;P I think most of us know that Hana & Alice was expanded from the Kit Kat Anniversary CMs. xD Some cute moments here and there… if you haven’t seen the film, what are you waiting for?

  • National Board of Review 2009 Winners

I think Julz is going to be VERY happy.

The National Board of Review named Up in the Air as the best film of the year. And like the Examiner mentions on its article… is this backlash against Mo’Nique’s refusal to promote the film and piss on her Oscar chances? Woah, that’s like a mafia. LOL

Clint Eastwood was named Best Director for Invictus, but like The Envelope says… Eastwood is a NBR fave. It really IS like a mafia~~~

  • Grammy 2010 Nominations

Well, I certainly don’t keep track with Grammy Awards anymore, so should I be adding the event to my Award Season calendar? Or should I just wait to run into it when it’s airing?

Grammy nominations were announced last night, and I’m glad I’m not the only one wondering why are the Grammy nominations so similar to MTV, the AMA and every other music-related award show? Just take a look at the General Field nominees to see what I’m talking about.

  • Annie Awards 2010 Nominations?

    Say what?

    I’m really pissed right now.

The Annie Awards (that’s the best animation awards) just announced their nominees, included for Best Animated Feature are, of course:

    • Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
    • Coraline
    • Fantastic Mr. Fox
    • The Princess and the Frog
    • The Secret of Kells
    • Up

Yup. That’s it. Say WHAT? Where’s Mary and Max?

You mean to tell me that THE best animated film of the year doesn’t get recognition from its own medium? Yeah, whatever. These are the awards that declared Kung Fu Panda better than WALL-E, so maybe we should be talking about actual technical animation than actual film.

The whole list of nominees is here.

  • 2010 Independent Spirit Awards Nominations!

I totally messed up the date on my calendar xD
I thought it was gonna be tomorrow.

Anyway, some surprise, and some not so surprise.
You might have seen a few already~~~

Spirit Awards will be handed out on March 5th, 2010 at 8pm. PST.

  • Amy’s Experiment Awards *Update 2*

    Here’s the main idea post.

And yes, I made it passed the 48 films. I’m nearly on my film #70, I think.

Since it’s nearly December here, and it’s December already in several places. It’s time for a reminder because I haven’t heard from many of you, and I promised to remind everyone.

    • You’ve got all this month to watch films to complete your 48 film-count.
    • Your nomination list should be sent by January 7th 2010.
    • Nominations categories are the same as the Academy Awards, except;
      • no Best Foreign Film category.
      • no shorts (documentaries, animated or live-action)
      • no Documentary Features either.
    • Nominations are announced on January 10th 2010
    • Voting for a winner ends on January 28th 2010
    • Winners are announced January 31st 2010.

So grab and Academy Award nomination list, fill in the blanks except for the categories specified above, and send them my way. ;P
