Archives For Chinese

Seriously, guys.

Asia is having a Women Tuxed-off. First with the likes of Chris Lee and BiBi…

Now~~~ Hello Jing Chang!

She won the first season of Super Idol in Taiwan, and is actually signed on Gold Typhoon, which is also BiBi’s label now — someone’s got a fetish for girls in tuxes… LOL

I’m all over this. I usually love Diane Warren’s cheese… I mean, she did write I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing — the song most Aerosmith fans hate… but you know, it’s a great song. Especially to sing-not in Karaoke. LOL It’s the feeling. Liv Tyler is losing her dad to the asteroid! Please, cry! xD

I Miss U Missing Me is the first English song by Zhou Bichang… and Diane Warren’s first for an Asian artist (?) Has she written any other songs for anybody not from America or Europe? OMG, please let that be. xD

This one so needs to be the 2nd single.
This one > The Chinese/English version.
一滴淚的距離 (Yi Di Lei de Ju Li) – A Tear in the Distance

This can totally fit into the story between Grace and Alex, Julz~~~
This is so Alex -> Grace xD

Anyway~~~ Look!

BiBi performing I Miss U Missing Me
same presentation, different spot.

She’s a bit off, and the spiky jacket throws you off.
*sighs* I Miss BiBi in BiBi’s chic-geek style.

Lee Hom does everything. He writes his own music, plays like 14 instruments… since he’s American, he learned to speak Mandarin… and Cantonese… and Japanese… and he even speaks French. Etc. Etc.

To make things short, Lee Hom is a pretty awesome musician.

And he’s acted before… not so sure about Moon Child, but Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution is a VERY good project to have on your CV… and now, Love in Disguise is his debut as a director.

call me crazy, but this reminded me of Nodame Cantabile. It’s the music setting. Plus, big points for Joan Chen ;P not tagging this as a trailer yet.

Also, subtitled come from the Official Wang Lee Hom channel. Now they only need to add his videos, so I don’t need to read “Sony BMG doesn’t allow the stream of this video in your region” Argh!

Oh, Jay~
Why did you have to open your mouth and talk. LOL

You look cool doing your kicking, but all your dialog didn’t do it for me. Having said that… I do find Seth Rogen slimness, kind of unsettling because during the first frames, there was some quiver… then he spoke and it was gone. Phew.

But this is Michel Gondry, right? So I’m still watching it.

BTW, I hate the way they say “KAY-TOH” UGH. Never heard the English audio for The Green Hornet, so I actually grew up with how normal people say Kato. xD

Akiba Fest is today. Never been to it, I guess there will be loads of otakus there. xD

Today, had to attend the press conference for it… ooh, fancy~ Patricia Acevedo (the Latin American voice of Lisa Simpson, Lady Oscar, and Chichi from Dragon Ball), as well as Laura Torres… who is the only dubbing actress I ever recognize on tv merits only, because she is the voice of Daria… as well as Gabrielle on Xena, and I grew up with that dubbing… and then I heard her as Catherine Willows on CSI. Trippy. Then I found out she’s also been Goku when he was a kid, as well as Gohan and Goten… plus, Tommy Pickles from Rugrats, and Shippo on Inuyasha. I’m pretty sure she’s done Happy Feet too. LOL

During the conference…

They had a moment. xD

Anyway… Bibi’s album just hit the net.

Hi, China! You rock.

MY85 made me realize that tomorrow is the 13th, so I decided to release this today.

Thanks to Julz, who’s always a diligent writer.
and MY85… and well, Maca who keeps tracks of her films.

I just want you to head over here.

Look! It’s the girl from Center Stage!

Hmm… seems like these films take FOREVER to be released.

Reading the comments of Bibi’s new single Canned Fish, I learned of this Nuit Blanche controversy.

You see… the video is about 4 months old, so I doubt it’s a tribute of sorts. Having said that, I think the music in Bibi’s video works different in that it creates a lot of “tension” between female Bibi and “male” Bibi — if you get my drift. The original, seen above, has better execution though, even without the tension between the guy and the woman, you feel like it’s a beautiful piece… a timeless classic.

See, same concept, different execution.

Here’s the YouTube version if you don’t have a Vimeo account and want to add it to a list.
