No, there are no hidden messages on this post.

I’m just watching Buddha Mountain and it struck me like a bucket of chilly water — Fan Bingbing reminded me of Masami Nagasawa. No? Maybe? A little bit?

I don’t think they’re exactly the same, but they have similarities — though I think Fan Bingbing is EXTRA pale, both of them are whiter than usual. And while I link Masami Nagasawa’s image as a lot more dorky [1] — and not necessarily a favorite in my list of favorites — she seems to be sneaking a lot into my watching list (eg. I just saw her on Kiseki).

Fan Bingbing, she’s been on my radar for a while now… and even though I’ve only seen her in one other project (My Way), a few couple of phothoshoots… I’m beginning to like her a lot more. When watching her on Buddha Mountain, I kept thinking she seems like an uber intense version of Nagasawa. LOL

I had never really noticed how good this song is.

I’m not so sure how well Zhong Ping Huang’s style fits the music video, but I like the song. I’ve heard all of Chou’s discography before, but I don’t recall liking this song. The more you know? xD

Also, I’m so SO happy that his music channel is uploading all this music videos officially. The sad thing is that all those previous views from all those other people will now be gone.

I wonder if one day I will be able to interview Jay hahaha

The Voice of China: My Top4

October 1, 2012 — 1 Comment

This is it. This is why I don’t follow reality TV contests, and this is my final posting on The Voice of China, which I had greatly enjoyed at the beginning for its variety in music styles.

But after a few episodes that tended to be on the frustrating side… I just… can’t take it any longer. I think the final is next episode (and Adam Lambert is supposed to be on). It was a good ride, but I do not wish to see the ending to this.

This is my line-up to the Top4:

Harper’s Bazaar China loves to celebrate with Faye Wong and photographer Chen Man, this is why both of them grace the cover of this year’s anniversary Harper’s Bazaar edition celebrating their 26th year. They celebrated their 25th year the same way.

So being the lover of photography that I am, I went around and look them all up — including last years photos. You can also check this Faye/HB photoshoot.

And as you can see, I have instantly fallen deeply in love with photographer Chen Man’s work. And I’ve already ordered her book Chen Man: Works 2003-2010, and added her tag xD so you can maybe expect more Chen Man postings in the future.

I believe that to change the future we cannot rely on the individual, but rather a collective force. Together we can change an individual’s way of life, as well as change the world.

Chen Man on the Future

If you were hurt by her very painfully, please, thank her well-intentioned torture. If you feel like you have wronged her, please, thank her gracious tears that flowed. Before we meet and fall in love, it’s all because of her that you’ve matured.

If you feel lonesome right now, please, thank this beautiful intermission. If you are still acting wrongly in love, please, be thankful for not finding me yet. It’s only after we finish walking through all the winding roads that we can finally know what love really is.

My Love.

If it’s celebrated successfully that I’m worth obtaining, please, thank that I was once let go. If I’m admired for my strong yet gentle nature, please, thank that precious hurtful wound. After we meet and fall in love, all regrets will turn into rewards. When we finally find one another in a tight embrace, all the distress and hardship will turn into the sweetest ending, so just let us patiently wander because love will come for sure – at the right moment.

Hebe to be Assimilated not Consumed~

I wanted to use “Yu Aoi Double Face-ing for TBS/WOWOW Infernal Affairs Jdrama” but I thought it was a little extra too long with the information.

So I was checking IMDb, and there was a new credit I didn’t know about, and since I’m not subscribed to anyone’s feed on Japanese entertainment news, and my sources haven’t been as active as they used to, I had no idea what it was about.

The show titled Double Face both Teruyuki Kagawa and Hidetoshi Nishijima will be airing both in TBS and WOWOW — one subtitled Sennyu Sousa Hen (Undercover Investigation, TBS) and the other Gisou Keisatsu Hen (Police Disguise, WOWOW) — with Nishijima starring on the TBS version while Kagawa on WOWOW’s. The gig is that it is inspired by Hong Kong’s Infernal Affairs, and will have you watching both as they are the same story but from different perspectives.

So maybe if you’ve seen the movie, it won’t be all that interesting — but from the broadcasting POV, it’s an interesting project. I don’t think it’s been done before, has it?

Yu-chan will play a role in the WOWOW version, while Wakui Emi and Atsushi Ito will have roles in both versions, and Kadono Takuzo will play a role in the TBS version.

I wonder if anyone is planning to fansub…

I dunno what this is… but Leehom, I totally believe you’re not gay. xD Jackie, on the other hand, is a natural!

I gotta admit that with Wang Feng being Na Ying’s coach, I thought I was going to get blown away by everyone’s performances, but seems like expectations were too high. Plus, YouTube cockblocking my watching.

Since Wang Feng was there to coach too, all of the arrangments had a lot (or, at least, a little) to do with some aspect of rock — be it rock & roll or plain rock (except for Zhang Yu Xia’s battle) — so, in the end, there was a lot of A-Mei being played and there was some extra Wang Feng going on too.

Anyway, there were only a couple of standout performances, and considering my favorites on Na Ying’s team from the beginning were Zhang Wei (张玮) [1] and Zhang Yu Xia (張玉霞) [1], I am rather ecstatic and sad. Super elated for the fact that Zhang Wei has a very good chance of being the Top4 (and may very well be the winner), and sad because Zhang Yu Xia — despite her flawless The Legend (传奇) performance in a battle vs. Li Min (李敏) — couldn’t advance any further. T_T

But, DUDE! The Zhang Wei and Ge Yu Sen (歌浴森) battle doing A-Mei’s Three Days and Three Nights (三天三 夜) was great~ Like, couldn’t pick between the two, and I was almost siding with Ge Yu Sen, but would have been perfectly content if either of those two won.
