Archives For June 2008

I once received a comment that I thought was freaky spam from a bot, that apparently turned out to be a real person. Though I still have my doubts~~ But still freaks me out. I hate obsessive spam.

Anyway, I was checking my spam queu, and came upon a spam comment that at first read I thought was a real comment. Hahaha! I was so impressed with it that I messaged my friend and she told me she couldn’t tell how this was spam, until I showed her the last bit of message. Here’s a capture of WP’s Dashboard.

Holy Shit - Smart Spam

Which makes me wonder, did actress Meredith Henderson really left a message in my old old OLD website when I had the guestbook that erased itself?? I hope she did, that was a fond memory, as well as the message that ANTM Cycle 7 contestant, Megan Morris, left on my MySpace. I don’t hang around MySpace much these days though~~~ le sigh.

Hahaha, the reason we love Nodame Cantabile is because Juri Ueno as lovable Nodame. Now, if you don’t know the series, you will still love this behind the scene of Juri Ueno singing Nodame’s Fart Exercise song.

It turns out that the song was so popular, Juri recorded a small album with kids songs. You can find the lyrics in Japanese, Romaji and English translation of the funnyness in here. (also includes imeem link)

Close the Door!

June 23, 2008 — 1 Comment

When I used to be in my old room (2nd largest room in the apartment, now I’ve got the biggest room), my bed was positioned right in front of the mirror-closet-door, so when I went to bed all my body was reflected at me. One afternoon, my mom decided to move my  bed around because according to Feng Shui, that sucked your energy or your soul – LOL, I don’t really remember at this point, and since my mother is so bad at quoting stuff, I can’t really look for it either – or something like that, so she put my headrest towards the back of the room, almost facing the door. Then she told me that this was a bad position too because my headrest shouldn’t be against a wall of a bathroom, because that would mean all my good vibes would go down the toilet (drain)… but since the building my family lives in is badly structure, we have to make sacrifices. So my mother decided to sacrifice my good vibes to save my soul/energy. LOL

At the moment, that room is now desoccupied. Am now in the master bedroom because I’ve got big stuff… and this bedroom has the master bathroom (and my headrest doesn’t face a bathroom-wall), but my mom and I fight for the bathroom, even though there’s another bathroom nearest her bedroom. x’D

So I am usually in my room with my door closed. I work here, and do all my bidding in my bedroom so I find having my door closed gives me ‘office’ space LOL. Plus, I like working with loud music so having the door closed mutes the music just a bit. However, sometimes I keep the door open, maybe because I’m just too focus on a task or whatever… Anyway, I was talking to my friend tonight, and told her how much I loved Lightroom at the moment. I asked her if she wanted me to work on her pictures, and she accepted, so I began going through my archived dvds to find the files……….

I had kept my door opened because my mother was using the bathroom, and I began looking. Looking, looking… through years of archived files because neither me or my friend could remember when we took the photos. I literally spent 3hr + going through DVDs and CDs, and nothing… until I got up to get clean clothing for a bath and CLOSED the door. As soon as I closed the door, I found the first set of photos. LOL’

I haven’t began looking for the 2nd set yet, but I was really freaked out by the idea that closing the door might be just me keeping my ‘good vibes’ within my surroundings. I certainly like closing doors where I live… I thought it was maybe each room has its certain smell, so I don’t like the smell of the master bathroom creeping up in my room, or the smell of the kitchen near my door. Maybe I’m just paranoic, ha!

Following up this post.

Speedy de Telefonica - Sendspace - Velocidad de Upload

This is my little request to people who give their review in places like Amazon, YesAsia.com, and other online stores throughout the web. Is it too much to ask to write a review that talks about the product at hand?? We’re not at the movies, we’re not paying to ‘just’ watch the film. We are also paying to ‘buy’ the DVD, so we would like to know how’s the image transfer, the audio, what options for setup we have, what extras we get, what kind of packaging we get for said price, etc.

In all my years of DVD buying (somehow this doesn’t apply much to CDs), I have maybe read one or two reviews by a customer that talk about technical stuff. 99.9% of the time you would find a review of the film saying what a wonderful film it was, and how great the acting is. Yes, it’s important to give your opinion of the film, in case someone who hasn’t seen it wants to watch it. But, let’s face it… they could go on a google search and find it anywhere else.

What if I already have seen the film, and want to get the DVD??? Is the DVD worth the price tag? No one mentions that a $16 dollar tag for a single disc with no extras might be to pricey, considering there are single disc DVDs that cost as much as $5. Does it have a blow-your-mind type of DVD Menu maybe? Did it come with something extra that make you treasure it?? Like some pretty nifty printed s tuff?? Only 0.01% of customers mention this type of stuff, and it BUGS ME because it screws up my buying experience.

Dear DVD Reviewer: Review the DVD, not the Film.

I just watched an episode of CSI Miami. Not a fan of CSI Miami, I have probably seen 3 episodes of CSI Miami, and I’ve never gotten into it. Never got into CSI NYC either… heard that it’s surpassed CSI in raitings, but still probably won’t get into it.

I enjoyed CSI when it began, pre-spin-offs, but I haven’t seen a new CSI episode since probably the last episode I saw Lady Heather in. AM a fan of Lady Heather~ Catherine and Grissom, and always a small weakness for Lady Heather and Grissom. LOL’ But I haven’t been following CSI, has it lost its charm? Maybe. Perhaps… there’s too many forensic shows around nowadays.

Does CSI still surprise you? I don’t know how many of you still wait to the end of the episode to find the guilty one, but my mom and me play around by pointing out the people we think could be guilty. The only rule is that is has to be before the commercial break.

The first an only key is to watch films and shows, because if you know a guest-star on any CSI episode, it will most likely be the guilty. That’s it. LOL. Case and point, Katherine Moennig guest-starring, I told my mom that I knew her so she must be guilty. After that, another actor showed up and I told my mom I knew him also, as well as another guy. All of them turned out to be somewhat guilty.

So there you have it folks, guest-starring 101.
