omote3D photobooth 6

3D printing is expensive — but cool — and apparently Japan is setting itself to test 3D printing photo booths so you can all make tiny models of yourselves!

All information over at Spoon & Tamago~

I haven’t actively looked for Yu Aoi fan-made videos in a long time, but here we go~ I hope this one doesn’t get deleted, coz we’ve been suffering from that a lot lately. Regular Yu Aoi film footage applies, with nice additions of Tamatama, and Otouto… though, Raiou would have been nice to have.

I’m on my way to watch Tokyo Monogatari as I type this, and I was surprised by this upload on my YouTube timeline. Opening on January 19 (note on the Yu Aoi event calendar below), Yoji Yamada has finally release a meatier look to his version of Ozu’s critically-lauded film. It’s nothing much (visually), and there’s so much crying… and Yu’s going to cry — it seems — a lot. I wanna watch it. I wonder if I watch the Ozu version, if I would need less subtitles to understand Tokyo Kazoku when it’s out. xD

You gotta think of these things nowadays~

The language seems fairly simple. xD Let’s try. Here you go:

Yu Aoi for Zipang Punk

October 23, 2012 — 1 Comment

goemon rock 3 zipang punk

I ran into this story~ though I can’t be exactly sure about it, you know… with my Japanese sucking and all. But it seems like Yu-chan’s going to be on another play- called Zipang Punk Goemon ROKKU III (so it seems like it might be… a musical? LOL) A rock musical on the life of legend hero Goemon or something.

You can check the story on Geinou News Lounge, which is the source with the most text. Plus photos. I will be adding the show’s dates on the Yu Aoi calendar placed down down below, which had seemed rather empty lately.

If anyone else has more information on it, don’t be shy and share it in the comments :)

Tickets for the Tokyo shows, which begin running on December 19th, run for 12,500 Yen, 10,500 Yen, and 7,500 Yen. While the Osaka shows which begin running on February 6th, run for 13,500 Yen, 10,500 Yen, and 7,500 Yen. ayumi ito tokyo film fest 2012

Uzaigaijin (who writes on SHINE! — you can usually find them on their site, but it’s down atm — u can also find them on Twitter) is passing her time at the Tokyo Film Fest and took pics of Ayumi Ito because she knows I’m like… her only fan. LOL But I’m not sharing most photos, coz ha-ha that will be my personal stash xD **evil laugh*

And Ayumi Ito knows when she’s to look at a camera~~~

No, there are no hidden messages on this post.

I’m just watching Buddha Mountain and it struck me like a bucket of chilly water — Fan Bingbing reminded me of Masami Nagasawa. No? Maybe? A little bit?

I don’t think they’re exactly the same, but they have similarities — though I think Fan Bingbing is EXTRA pale, both of them are whiter than usual. And while I link Masami Nagasawa’s image as a lot more dorky [1] — and not necessarily a favorite in my list of favorites — she seems to be sneaking a lot into my watching list (eg. I just saw her on Kiseki).

Fan Bingbing, she’s been on my radar for a while now… and even though I’ve only seen her in one other project (My Way), a few couple of phothoshoots… I’m beginning to like her a lot more. When watching her on Buddha Mountain, I kept thinking she seems like an uber intense version of Nagasawa. LOL

I know you’re there~~~

come out, come out, wherever you are~~~

I wanted to use “Yu Aoi Double Face-ing for TBS/WOWOW Infernal Affairs Jdrama” but I thought it was a little extra too long with the information.

So I was checking IMDb, and there was a new credit I didn’t know about, and since I’m not subscribed to anyone’s feed on Japanese entertainment news, and my sources haven’t been as active as they used to, I had no idea what it was about.

The show titled Double Face both Teruyuki Kagawa and Hidetoshi Nishijima will be airing both in TBS and WOWOW — one subtitled Sennyu Sousa Hen (Undercover Investigation, TBS) and the other Gisou Keisatsu Hen (Police Disguise, WOWOW) — with Nishijima starring on the TBS version while Kagawa on WOWOW’s. The gig is that it is inspired by Hong Kong’s Infernal Affairs, and will have you watching both as they are the same story but from different perspectives.

So maybe if you’ve seen the movie, it won’t be all that interesting — but from the broadcasting POV, it’s an interesting project. I don’t think it’s been done before, has it?

Yu-chan will play a role in the WOWOW version, while Wakui Emi and Atsushi Ito will have roles in both versions, and Kadono Takuzo will play a role in the TBS version.

I wonder if anyone is planning to fansub…

Ahhhh… Tokyo. What I wouldn’t give to visit that once in a lifetime…
