  • Prisoner of Love, and other Music!

As my obsession with Last Friends has surface in the past days (yes, that includes lurk into discussion boards), I have decided to make a new music post, even though it’s only been barely 10 days since my last music post. What does that mean? It means that all I’m about to post is what I have been listening in the past 10 days. LOL’

Romaji lyrics to Prisoner of Love by Utada Hikaru (Theme of Last Friends) posted thanks to flyingcrispi! Translation included in their post~~

  • Dying with Envy!

I always do this to myself… check on Ticketmaster to see what concerts I can’t attend to. I blame it on Madonna this time~~ The headlines of Madonna breaking another record got me to go to the Live Nation website, and you could check up on the upcoming concerts they had, so it got me thinking what was on Ticketmaster. And BAM!

Plaza Nightclub has 4 shows I want to attend~~~
    Tokyo Police Club – May 15 – $17.85
    Melanie C – May 17 – $35
    Los Campesinos! – June 1st – $15.50
    The Ting Tings – June 9 – $13.50

and the Commodore Ballroom will have The Kooks on May 24 for only $18.50

    Sucks not to be there

  • Hiragana KATAKANA for the English-speaking Kids!!

I just got an email from performer Alyssa Collins with a link to a song you all can purchase on iTunes. It’s called the Hiragana Song, and includes all lyrics in romaji and English explaining to little kids the sound of the A – I- U – E – O (which is not normal if you speak English).

You can preview the song here… though it’s quite a long preview, haha. It also has the lyrics!

  • Manmaru SUMAIRU

I haven’t really heard the song, just found it by checking up on the Hajimete Hajimemashite post – Truly a surprise to find that they have changed the song on their site.

Also, testing out a really useful tool I found. A romanization (or transliteration) tool. In Japanese, it can only read Hiragana and Katakana, though… so it might not be much help reading something like a whole website or lyrics to songs using Kanji, but it sure helps reading simple Japanese to those us lazy like me.

  • All Hail Nine Inch Nails and Torrents

Nine Inch Nails just became a LOT cooler in the online community because their latest album The Slip cannot only be downloaded as a .ZIP file on MP3 format, but you can also download it as FLAC, M4A and WAVE (that file is over 1GB!!!) for super non-compress audio. And they use torrents for the last three formats… only cool kids use Torrents. LOL’

To top Radiohead off, NIN didn’t ask you to put a price to their music, and gives you the full album art on PDF format for you to print and have, as well.

Now it will all be a matter of waiting to see what this move will bring them. In the meantime, you can download Nine Inch Nails’ album The Slip from their website.

  • New Month, New Music!

It’s been a month since the last music post update! Since then, as you can see… haven’t change the Deezer player, ha! Haven’t changed the music… BUT, no one has complained – so it’s okay for me to procrastinate. Anyway, this is the update from the last list… (more…)

  • Hajimete Hajimemashite

Continuing with the previous post for Okaasan to Issho, here are the lyrics and some links to one of the songs on the latest version of the show.

  • My Reasons Why the 90’s Ruled or Not – Part V

I cannot utterly believe WHY I’m posting this, but… while rummaging through my dusty albums, I discovered the first album I ever EVER bought, back when I was 10? This is WHY we love the early to mid-90’s because the 90’s were tacky… if the 80’s were tacky in American and the rest of the world, we certainly caught up in the 90’s, people.

For past reasons of why they ruled, check the following links:

    Part I
    Part II
    Part III (Disney Edition)
    Part IV (Ruth rules Edition)

Forget about leg-warmers, puffy hair and big glasses… though Beals and Matlin certainly blossomed. *tsk tsk* – My 90’s were tacky… flamboyant primary-colored suited boy bands waving and wooshing their flamboyant fans while singing Locomia, LOL’ Or velveted rancheras singing Querida… originally performed by my Latin version of Elton John, with Juan Gabriel. LOL’ But back to the album I found people… (more…)

  • Deezer, as Good as It Was?

Hey, guys! *woot woot* Post 200

I’ve been thinking of getting rid of the Deezer player because I haven’t been able to find or upload the music to share… and I haven’t logged into my account in FOREVER. LOL’ So I might be changing my music player in the coming days… maybe going back to my old player, or beginning using the audio library on this new WordPress (Yes! Amy updated her WordPress).

Anyway, I have been Asian-ized once again…. like my 2003 period. I’ve been updating my Korean, Japanese and Chinese music… haven’t really found any new artist, but I have expanded my library of the artist I used to listen to so often… – I have also expanded my discography is some artists on my iPod.

Here is the list of albums I’ve been listening to:
