Archives For gender-bending

I never really talk much about Fashion or the MET Gala, I barely remember last year’s theme (it was ‘The Future’), but I really dug the on in 2015 — China: Through the Looking Glass — in which Fan Bingbing’s cape blew me away (followed by Rihanna’s pizza dress). And usually, women’s fashion is more fun, but my Rei Kawabuko picks were Jaden Smith and Maxwell.

I didn’t love the grill when I saw it, but I really dug the whole look and his dreads as accessory.

I only caught a bit of Sunday’s Golden Globes, and none of the red carpet so… I missed Evan. But I did see the picture of her outfit, and totally dig her outfit and attitude. Seems like Evan’s coming back with a vengeance~

Look at THAT! I love it.

I really have no J-entertainment sources any longer xD

I just found out that Kou Shibasaki’s gonna be in this year’s Taiga drama! More spazzing? It’s called Naotora: The Lady Warlord (おんな城主 直虎). I’m sold already [1][2].

Bless us all! Look at her wardrobe~ I haven’t fangirled a Taiga since Atsuhime [1][2], which was like 9 years ago. LOL Anyone knows if there’s a subtitled version available?

I had this picture stored for a couple of weeks already, and forgot to post. Over 13 years ago, I was a really REALLY big fan of Evan Rachel Wood xD It was probably during one of the seasons of Once & Again, I remember I’ve rented a whole bunch of her movies, so when I moved to Vancouver, I was ecstatic to be actually able to watch Thirteen on the big screen. During my time there, I probably watched all her movies at the cinema :P

It was on and off after leaving Canada, I still managed to watch a whole bunch of her films, but there was a period when I didn’t know anything about her. I didn’t know I missed her until I caught Into the Forest, and I was super psyched to hear that she was gonna be in HBO’s Westworld. Usually, HBO and I are not that compatible, but I caught the first episode [and read that list of actors, phew!], and I liked it quite a bit, so I’ll definitely catch the whole season when it’s done.

Someone, please, call 911.

And they’re all wearing their suits. Blessed.

After the initial hiccup with the release of the Decalcomanie MV, we’ve put that behind us (but shouldn’t really, because it’s important to talk about these things). RBW has promised to release a brand new video once Decalcomanie (all CJ+Mamamoo uploads combined) reaches 3M views. At the moment, the CJ one has 1.127M while the Mamamoo one has 211k, so do the math.

Oh, and there’s also that one-shot M Countdown fancam.

Moonbyul looks so happy with all those layers of clothing and actual pair of pants. lol

I can’t wait for all the other performances, once the jitters of the first performance has gone.

Someone please call 911
Tell them I just been shot down
and the bullet’s, in my heart~

Coming back in the Korean sense of the word, that is~ Mamamoo’s released 3 songs [sub-unit songs Dab Dab and Angel, as well as New York], and they’re back again with the release of a proper EP/Mini, despite having released their first full length this past February.

And despite the fact that everyone was worried about the red sequin gochujang dresses, having Solar to tell us to love the gochchujang in her most recent solo VApp,to later flip tables over when Moonbyul (and Hwasa) slayed us all with their tuxes.

Now RBW is telling us that their Decalcomanie comeback might have a Bond Girl 007-related theme?

Everyone’s dead. Everyone.

And the girls did another crazy VApp where Whee-In is wearing crocs and playing with a stuffed panda, Moonbyul plays with Solar’s new braid and turns her into a propeller, and Hwasa tickles Solar to release her dolphin seal laugh.

Dead, I tell you.

I am obviously not a true Mamamoo fan, because I wasn’t aware of this performance until today. I’ve reached a point in my fandom life where a Mamamoo-related site is one of my top visited websites. I visit it three or four times a day, at least. LOL I’m shameful.

I’m also saving money for a YesAsia purchase of their Moosical DVD and/or their upcoming album/mini, and possibly other stuff- I mean, have you seen The Handmaiden? LOL

Apparently, BiBi now has an official Facebook page (finally!). And it turns out that I’ve missed a couple of photoshoots, since BiBi has been promoting the release of Cold War 2, one of them a shoot by an unknown photographer for the July issue of Harper’s Bazaar China, featuring this gorgeous dual cover.

I think certain someones -who work for Shiseido- could be out of a job xD

There’s a great (though rather longish) commercial titled The Secret of High School Girls (メーク女子高生のヒミツ) that pretty much shows how good Shiseido makeup can be- or, in this case, I think you have to give props to the makeup artists, no?

Great concept.

Apparently the CM shoot took 7hrs., and it’s a one-shot take, so big props to the makeup and hair team [Tadashi Harada (原田忠), Yoshiko Jinguji (神宮司芳子), Yumiko Kamada (鎌田由美子), Hirofumi Kera (計良宏文), Etsu Nishijima (西島悦), Miyako Okamoto (岡元美也子), Noriko Okubo (大久保紀子), Setsuko Suzuki (鈴木節子)], who had to work on still-shooting mode.

Directed by Show Yanagisawa (柳沢翔) [Portfolio] for WATTS OF TOKYO (ワッツオブトーキョー).

Here’s a short Making Of.

*snort* I did confuse Shruti thinking it was lil’ sister Akshara for a moment there. They don’t look alike, though, just a pure brain fart. Anyway, big sis Haasan stopped by this year’s GQ Best Dressed party wearing… not a femme suit! LOL It’s not as badass as, let’s say, Sammi Cheng in Cannes… but it calls your attention in between all the dresses. Coat needs a little tailoring, a sharper collar, and a tighter tie knot.

It’s really lil sis Akshara who can rock the cool look. I was over the moon with her hair in Shamitabh. And I’m not the only one. Whoever pull off the look in the film, brilliant. She does look a lot like Kamal Haasan, though. She’s got the perennial sad look in her eyes, and she’s got funky ears! She had sass, though. It can be promising.
