I haven’t talked about bikes in so long…

Who here is using Google+?

My minimalist side appreciates that it’s all white. I actually don’t need to focus on anything else but the content.

The CONTENT!

The Good

I love that the preview image of YouTube is so big (it seems to post 4:3 thumbnails for Vimeo), and if the thumbnail doesn’t load — you can hit “retry” and it tries to load it again.

If you make a typo, you can hit “edit” like in the screencap. You can also choose which functions to have – to disable re-sharing or comments. You also don’t need to “tag” people, you just decide with which Circles you want to share the info.

YAM Magazine Weibo

April 22, 2011 — 2 Comments

So… after my Weibo Fail almost 2 months ago, I finally was able to setup the yammag Weibo account.

Except for the loading problems, which is a given in Chinese-based websites (because of the number of people?), Weibo seems to be pretty cool to use… even if I haven’t figure out all things yet.

One of them is that I can’t make the profile open to the public. People who are not logged into Weibo, get an invitation code… which I don’t really want. I want it to be open to the public, but no one seems to know what I mean.

If you already use Twitter, it’s easy to get use to Weibo~ but there are a few things that are kind cool/kinda not so cool in it. The first one that’s cool and not so cool at the same time is… use of emoticons. LOL I know people who don’t like them, and might find them odd using in a microblogging site-

BUT… Weibo isn’t really a microblog. It seems much more complex than Twitter.

I wonder how does this work O_O

Since I don’t own an iPad, I have no way to test this… but sounds like an awesome idea.

If you wanna try it out, visit their website and download the iPad app.

Hi, guys~

To tell you the truth, I haven’t even had that much time to go through my daily Notcot.org bits like I used to. But sometimes, when I’m lucky… I will find something that I would like to post.

This clip is so freaking fantastic. xD

Pretty big-sized paper sculpture!

I remember in school we studied the London subway system’s map. Simplified… easy (not really), but immensely easier than New York… according to a friend who’s been to both cities anyway.

You can see how the New York simple (is not) the subway system works…

Amazing~ I thought this was a good graphic to close the year with~ a graphic of the world!

I love how China and Russia are pretty much dark on this graphic. Also how the East coast in the US is all lit up… like everyone there has a FB account. LOL [check details + bigger resolution here]

Anyway, guys~ 2010 is OVER. It’s gone! We’re getting older! This is so depressing xD with the opening of YAM Magazine, I’ve stopped blogging quite a bit here… which I didn’t expect. I really wanted to keep both active, but it’s impossible. I have decided to keep this for fandom blogging.

So don’t worry, Yu Aoi fans~ I’m still going to be talking about her. I’m due a few posts on her already. Also, I tweeted someone who plans to attend Yu Aoi’s play with Satoshi Tsumabuki, asking them if they would review the show for us xD At the moment, they said yes – EXCITING! This is the first time we’re getting a review of any of her stage performances.

Then… I have decided – Bibi Zhou fans. I’m gonna Bibify the world! I’ll try to post everything Bibi and become the Bibi hub online for English… or non-Chinese speakers/readers xD I’m starting 2011 with a Bibi post, and with a mission. LOL

Without further ado,

Happy 2011, everyone!

When I wrote my review, I couldn’t find a proper poster so I grabbed photoshop and whipped my own, but I made note that it wasn’t any official artwork.

However someone ended up using it xD

You might like to know that YAM’s got a big resolution of the nifty poster designed by Giselle Monzon Calero.

This $hit is amazing stuff.

But I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some Japanese cellphone that could do that same thing translating on the spot, but in Kanji. Now take that and tell me that’s not amazing? xD

I was re-watching the DVD for Swallowtail Butterfly that I bought after watching the film on YouTube xD – and Because I’m cheap, I bought the Hong Kong version, when the Japanese version comes with English subtitles. I don’t think it’s the DVD per se, but the way it was shot. I don’t really know what it is, it’s scratchy, and it could certainly be because the film is kinda old. However, I would like to see a clean better release by Criterion… of all of Shunji Iwai written and directed films~
