Animation Story Artist Josh Cooley (from Pixar’s Ratatouille and Up fame) is releasing a book in a very stylish a la Pixar concept art about grown up films. Perhaps the kiddies will just not get the movie references on this one.

I know all about the gays

And they recently released their Hot 100 [plus Top 10 Men of Color, Top 10 over 50, Top 10 Out Gay Men]. So let’s talk about MEN~~~ You know gay men love them guys buffed, most of the times.

So can I just say… some of them are just questionable? xD

Let’s start with Eddie Cibrian [who cheated on his wife and is now dating Leann Rimes, who “se me cayo”], then Milo Ventimiglia [whom after dating Panettiere seems like a total creep], Robert Pattison [whose stinky rumors are now forever plastered in my memories whenever I hear his name], Gerard Butler [who after starring on Dear Frankie and quivering, turned into total skeeze], Kellan Lutz [WHO? Oh yeah, Twilight], Ryan Phillippe [come on… really? multiple cheating is a multiple turn-off], Channing Tatum [enough with the meat already…], Zac Efron [Gosh… I feel I’m hairier than him… and we’re kinda the same age], Taylor Lautner [Okay, that’s just creepy… but then again MOMS dream about him, so I guess you guys are less creepy.], Ryan Reynolds [seriously guys… where is the substance…], and finally David Boreanaz whom I totally loved until recently. Man is a total let-down.

Now that I’ve got my disagreements, can I just say I feel really REALLY proud of Chris Colfer? He made the list, and I feel so giddy for him!

Other notable appearances? Tom Ford, Daniel Craig, Robert Downey Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), James McAvoy, Lee Pace, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taye Diggs, ever on the list even if there’s no movies Johnny Depp, another who’s ever there Brad Pitt, newest addition hottie Mark Salling (Glee)~~~

A while ago Mario Testino opened his show Portraits for the first time here in Lima, Peru to re-open the Art Museum in town. Even Kate Moss showed up for the opening of the show – color me surprised.

As Lainey would say, I would cut a bitch to get my Mario Testino book Portrait — which I bought years ago, FYI — signed. But you know… things like that are hard to do. But my mom keeps telling me if Mario Testino shows up, she so totally will get my book for signing.

And, well,  since no cameras are allowed inside, I couldn’t take any pictures of show… even worse with a Nikon big-ass lens camera. So this will have to do~~~

Since I already (and only) own Portraits — which was 3 times the price I paid for my copy — I ended up buying the Diana, Princess of Wales book, because I’m a sucker for those photographs. The natural light, it gets me. I’m pretty much sure I also overpaid for it, but oh well~

And then comes the news that Kate Moss (the book) by Mario Testino, in limited edition of 1500 signed copies of a little over 120 pages, will be 350 Euros and/or $472 USD. I mean, F*ck me twice on a Sunday~ You know I’ve been dishing a bit too much dough purchasing Photobooks, but 350 Euros? Damn.

Anyway, exhibit was… well, what I expected. There was a funny moment in which I saw a portrait of Jennifer Aniston almost facing Angelina’s portrait which was next to the Brad portrait.
Coincidence or conspiracy? xD

And since we’re talking about remakes of Swedish films, how about an article that says every of-the-moment actress in Hollywood wants to get a Dragon Tattoo. At least according to a post by Deadline.

Every hot young actress in Hollywood wants to play the lead in Sony Pictures’ The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. But will director David Fincher cast one of them — or go with an unknown?

Sony execs insist they’re “nowhere near casting”. But Mulligan, Page, Kristen Stewart, Mia Wasikowska, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Thirlby, and Scarlett Johannsen are all circling.

You know what I think of Mulligan, Page, and Portman as Lisbeth, but what about the others? Well, about Stewart, I am not convinced about her acting, plus she still has Twilight commitments, meaning she wouldn’t be able to toughen up for the role because… well, then Bella would be all able to kick Edward’s ass. Plus, another series after a series? I don’t think it would be smart as an actress. She should keep it open for a while.

Wasikowska never ever crossed my mind as Lisbeth, she’s so delicate so she would also need to toughen up, and I mean it in the way she needs to gain a little more weight to get some muscle there. But she certainly fits the cute and tiny bill. And please! Keira Knightley is a total pass. WAY too skinny, and she’s not able (according to her) to gain weight, so she wouldn’t be able to get that bad-ass look down. Plus her eyes are dull.

Anne Hathaway is too old, and not the right body type, as is Johansson. Plus, she is known for her curvy body, would she lose that in order to get a bad-ass muscle body? As for Olivia Thirlby, I kinda liked that. She’s not really mainstream… but there’s also the thing about the bad-ass.

And wait for it, wait for it…

On the other hand, they think the male lead does require a star, and the studio is waiting for an answer from Brad Pitt.

Say what? I like Brad and all, but this is exactly what Lainey said would happen.

SAG 2010 Winners

January 24, 2010 — Leave a comment

Sorry, I couldn’t blog the SAG live…
my internet connection died on me at 8pm, and just got it back.

I was kind of Okay-ish with my predictions xD

And Yay for Michael C. Hall! And Yay for Glee!!
A little boo for Toni Collette not winning though…

And Yay Star Trek Stunts! xD

Bridges, Monique and Waltz become the almost factual winners of the Oscar by now with these wins, which only leaves just a few days before nominations are announced xD

Biggest “I Saw that Coming” Moment was Sandra Bullock possibly winning a Best Actress at the Oscar. I mean, seriously. Really??? I love Sandra Bullock, she’s funny… but get real!

yam006_Oct09

Thanks to Julz for working so hard on the cover story, and all those reviews. ^^

On this  issue we review a lot of stuff, including Inglourious Basterds, Honokaa Boy, Mother, Treeless Mountain, Big Bang, G-Dragon, Arashi, BackStreet Boys, Imogen Heap, Olafur Arnalds, Chang Shilei, Juri Ueno and the Five Bags, Mad Men… Cusco Bizarro – and we even talk a bit about Glee, Dexter and House~~~

So head over here~~~

Looks pretty good, I must admit.

=D

First for the obvious… many of us still haven’t seen Eve and her New York, I Love You shorts (the one she directs, and the one she stars in – there’s also one with Shunji Iwai!!).

Then, there’s also Brothers with Tobey and Jakey G~~~ later this year (?), then there’ll be Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry – *phew* that was long… with Brad Pitt.

There’ll be Hesher with Joseph Gordon-Levitt by Spencer Susser~~~

There will also be Your Highness by Danny McBride (Superbad, Fanboys, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder) – and now add to that, the Black Swan by Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain, The Wrestler).

You can all do a dance now.

The sites AfterElton.com and AfterEllen.com have released their Hot100 list this year, and out actors Neil Patrick Harris and Portia de Rossi top their respective lists. Also in those lists…

Portia de Rossi

Jennifer Beals ranking in #2, Lena Headey in #3, Leisha Hailey in #4, Tina Fey in #7, Katherine Moennig in #11, Rachel Shelley in #12, Kate Winslet in #13, Ellen DeGeneres making up the Top15. Clementine Ford made it to #18,  Ellen Page (21), Pink (25), Emily Blunt (34), Jodie Foster (39),  Natalie Portman (41, what? behind LiLo??? Geez), Penelope Cruz (56), Mary-Louise Parker (57), Cate Blanchett (66), Anne Hathaway (83), Rachel Weisz (84), Maryl Streep (87), and Emma Watson at 99.

LOL’ That was a long not-a-list~

Neil Patrick Harris

The dudes at AfterElton show you the proper way to show a list… from the bottom up. Starting with Emile Hirsch (88), Patrick Wilson (86), Nathan Fillion (85), Matt Damon (84),  George Clooney (73), Clive Owen (72), Ryan Gosling (65), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (61), Lee Pace (60), Gael Garcia Bernal (59), James McAvoy (57), Christian Bale (56), Ewan McGregor (48), David Boreanaz (47), Justin Timberlake (42), Daniel Craig (32),  Johnny Depp (29), Brad Pitt (18). And rounding up the Top10, there’s James Franco in #10, Hugh Jackman in #8, and Jake Gyllenhaal in #4.

Not many Asians now, is there? =o(

Thanks to Lainey, and NataliePortman.com~~ Variety is reporting Natalie and Brad are teaming up for a new film!

The film has a long ass name, ready? Are you sure?  It will be the adapted film from the book called, “Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry.” – Yes, that’s a whole title. We’ll referred to it as “Artifacts” for the moment~~~

Pitt’s Plan B will produce with Portman’s Handsomecharlie Films banner. Portman brought the book to Pitt, whose company is Par-based.

The book takes the form of a Sotheby’s-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s).

The project will be developed as a romantic comedy to star Pitt and Portman.

At this time, Brad Pitt has a LOT, and I do mean a LOT of work~~ He’s got Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds coming out soon, followed by Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, and Moneyball by Soderbergh. While… well… Portman has only Brothers, which we’ve been waiting for a while now – with Jakey!! xD and Maguire.

I am also waiting to see New York, I Love You~ despite some of the other people involved in it. Ha! And she’s algo got Love & Other Impossible Pursuits, but I’m guessing it will be quite a while until the day I get to see that one…

Thoughts?
