Archives For Music Videos

The music is MEH~ but the stop-motion music video is pretty cool. A nominee for best Paper music video? xD

Earlier in the year I listened to one of Tsuchiya’s albums… I think it was Nudy Show? Anyway, I really dig her on Kamikaze Girls. I mean, she’s really funny in it. But Sakuran is okay… the album was okay-ish… and the music video included on the Kamikaze Girls dvd was very Alejandra Guzman to me.

I hope she doesn’t end up like Alejandra Guzman.

Anyway, here comes Tsuchiya’s new single – Atashi – after having her second kid… whom she called Simba (SHIMBA) LOL Too much Lion King. xD Lucky for the kid Tsuchiya didn’t decide on  Hakuna Matata.

Atashi is an okay song. I’m not too fond on the word “atashi” mainly because it’s used for I/Me for women. I remember one of my Japanese lessons, and my teacher (a guy only one year older than me) told me this, and I went “But WHYYY?” Because that’s how it works. BAWWWW~

There’s a motorbike on the video! LOL

Seriously, guys.

Asia is having a Women Tuxed-off. First with the likes of Chris Lee and BiBi…

Now~~~ Hello Jing Chang!

She won the first season of Super Idol in Taiwan, and is actually signed on Gold Typhoon, which is also BiBi’s label now — someone’s got a fetish for girls in tuxes… LOL

Hi, there TOP? Why do you sound so much like Sean Paul? No wonder Nayeli thinks Koreans speak English like Jamaican people. Look, TOP… I love your sexy voice why do you have to go and mess it up with autotune. You can do a spoken word album, and it would sound good. LOL

Having said that. Your video looks good. You look awesome… and you being dorky kills me.

Also… you know what would have been even more killer? If you had Yu Aoi playing those drums… even a cameo would have killed G-Dragon, and you know it.

Another single from their album Of The Blue Colour of the Sky.
Directed by OK Go, Eric Gunther, and Jeff Lieberman~

After their first and second album, and a couple of listens to them… OK Go are seriously hit or miss for me. I used to dig tracks like Here We Go Again, and C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips and stuff like that, but now it gets boring quite easily. Their videos, however, you just want to keep on watching.

I don’t think they surpassed themselves, though. I mean, This Too Shall Pass, right?

PS: The duck makes me laugh. xD

I really wanted to change one of the songs, but the song I wanted to add has escaped my mind. I have only heard it a couple of times, so the group didn’t stick with me… only the description as “they look like the Japanese Rolling Stones” – They lead singer even looked a bit Mick Jaggerish with his skinny pants and his movements. The song name — I suppose — is KIMOCHI, but because it has such a name, it seems impossible to Google. Do you know the song I’m talking about?

The guys kept singing KIMOCHI, and I’m pretty sure it was written in Katakana.

Anyway, if you know… leave a message~

*EDIT*
Yes, I found it. I’m so good. xD Took 2hrs though xD

In the meantime, you gotta listen to this new Japanese mix~

Mark Ronson featuring QTIP and MNDR.

I really enjoyed Ronson’s last album, and I think he’s a really great producer. However, I think he really dropped the ball with this song… or maybe I just don’t like his type of music any longer. Honestly, it’s been ages since I heard anything from him xD

But the French and Japanese? Sounds so weird.

Does anyone feel the video is so Liveman or Flashman? [why the 90’s ruled]

Directed by Irina Dakeva, this very 70-ish feel video is composed by around 200 watercolor images. Of course, the music had to come from Ed Banger Records, who gave us the kick-ass Justice D.A.N.C.E Video.

Cross-dressing in the military, leather-clad nun, and… that’s spandex, right? I dunno what I think about this video, it looks kinda good, but meh… everything is just okay. Song is bland.

Your thoughts?
