  • Yu Aoi for GINZA’s Portrait of a Lady

GINZA has just published a piece titled REDI no Shozo (レディの肖像, Portrait of a Lady) by Tomoko Kurose; and two black & white shots by Yasuhide Kuge. It’s a rare interview because it’s actually readable in Google Translate, lol. She talks about taking photos (she’s bad at it), what feelings she gets shooting movies and working on stage, how she perceives herself, a bit on her childhood, her work on voice-acting for animation… some talk on Penguin Highway and her speech for the Japanese Academy Award win where she talked about movies and being bullied.

    Give it a read.

  • Beginner’s Guide to Mamamoo

Also, sharing that overdone Beginner’s Guide I did because I couldn’t make up my mind, LOL

    Happy listening~ xD

  • Isabella Leong Prepares for Comeback~

    *(%&#*&$(#*&$*#&%*(
    expletive~

    YAS~

Any Isabella is better than no Isabella at all.

  • Joan Crawford: The Ultimate Star Book Cover

I was looking for a decent quality image of Alexander Walker’s Joan Crawford: The Ultimate Star book cover, but I couldn’t find any :/ so I decided to scan my own. Take it as a service to the online community. I was going to watermark it, but decided not to. A link back or a shout out would be nice, tho :)

  • Damn, I Miss You, Seju-ah~

Damn, I missed ya, Gaji~ I still miss Seju and all her drama, but Pet Aesthetics (애완의 미학) is as close as it’s gonna get for a while (at least), and I did see what you did there *wink wink nudge nudge* Also, I missed those *badump badump* The art, the aesthetic. Damn it.

I do wonder… are you gonna make me cry? lol

  • Mamamoo B-Side Battle

I saw this on Twitter, but can’t post there for obvious reasons lol

It’s honestly the hardest thing I’ve had to choose recently. LOL I think I had the most problems choosing the right top node with Dab Dab / Funky Boy / Peppermint Chocolate / Cat Fight / Rude Boy; because – geez, what bops. I also almost had a stroke when I had to choose between Recipe / Be Calm to the point I had to re-think my vote. xD Similar to Spring Fever and Azegag; and honestly, I can’t choose between Recipe and Words Don’t Come Easy. However, this explains so much why Melting remains my (first and) favorite album to date.

Not to say that Yellow Flower isn’t amazing, of course. Rude Boy and Spring Fever, both bops; SWFS and Be Calm, both feeling~~~ Melting is another level, tho.

  • Mamamoo out there killing Moos with BNT Photoshoot

So close to perfect styling, I’m crying. TuT

Silver, pink, dark brown (white balance seems pushed) bop, long dark.

I’m supposed to be focusing on work, LOL. But Mamamoo comeback news, flood of content. Moo tears, everywhere.

No high resolution pictures (yet), but you can check the Girl Group Zone thread for all the BNT pictures.

  • My 2017 Letterboxd Year in Review

Interesting! I figured I watched less movies this 2017 than I did in 2016, but turns out I got a couple more films/hours logged. And there were a couple more titles that I didn’t log because they’re not on Letterboxd. They just happened to be not current movies, I suppose.

I’m still, currently, very much obsessed with Mamamoo, though. LOL That’s 30% of my movie-watching time doing Mamamoo-related stuff.

2018 doesn’t look to be an improvement to 2015 levels xD

I’m also not sure whether Ryo Kase is my Most Watched Actor this year, considering I went on a non-logged marathon of Shweta Menon movies— like 4 or 5. But, once again, latest highest-rated movies reflect some of my movie-watching; a little American indie, a little Indian and a little Chinese.

I did find enough for my usual Top30 Favorite Film Discovery post :)

And a super lengthy post on my favorite films this year, which has already changed xDDDDDD

  • So it’s begun! Music Highlights of 2017~

    My yearly tradition~

(even though I haven’t been writing at all~~~ lol)

I hope I get to be more productive next year.

    Sharing is caring!

    Happy listening~
