iTunes - Dec 2009

First, let me begin saying that I thought 2006 was a great year to watch films. Also, funny thing to point out — it was really, and I mean… REALLY tough to pick my Best Supporting Actress picks~

Many of my favorite films have a 2006 tag in them, so this list might seem a little bias, even though I really tried hard to not be. You might noticed how hard I tried not to be bias. LOL — check the Best Actress category~

The sites AfterElton.com and AfterEllen.com have released their Hot100 list this year, and out actors Neil Patrick Harris and Portia de Rossi top their respective lists. Also in those lists…

Jennifer Beals ranking in #2, Lena Headey in #3, Leisha Hailey in #4, Tina Fey in #7, Katherine Moennig in #11, Rachel Shelley in #12, Kate Winslet in #13, Ellen DeGeneres making up the Top15. Clementine Ford made it to #18,  Ellen Page (21), Pink (25), Emily Blunt (34), Jodie Foster (39),  Natalie Portman (41, what? behind LiLo??? Geez), Penelope Cruz (56), Mary-Louise Parker (57), Cate Blanchett (66), Anne Hathaway (83), Rachel Weisz (84), Maryl Streep (87), and Emma Watson at 99.

LOL’ That was a long not-a-list~

Neil Patrick Harris

The dudes at AfterElton show you the proper way to show a list… from the bottom up. Starting with Emile Hirsch (88), Patrick Wilson (86), Nathan Fillion (85), Matt Damon (84),  George Clooney (73), Clive Owen (72), Ryan Gosling (65), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (61), Lee Pace (60), Gael Garcia Bernal (59), James McAvoy (57), Christian Bale (56), Ewan McGregor (48), David Boreanaz (47), Justin Timberlake (42), Daniel Craig (32),  Johnny Depp (29), Brad Pitt (18). And rounding up the Top10, there’s James Franco in #10, Hugh Jackman in #8, and Jake Gyllenhaal in #4.

Not many Asians now, is there? =o(

All the way back in September, I made a small list of some of my favorite actresses that people didn’t have idea who they were. But I don’t seem to have the same knack for spotting unknown names for male actors… funny, eh? I just realized this when making this list. Since most of the names are probably known, will post them from the ones I think are less known to the most known. And notice? No TV stars that I can recall~ WEIRD.

*EDIT*
How could I forget him??? Just added him on the first spot of actors that you probably don’t know.

If you tend to watch a lot of TV and movies, and are good with faces and names, you begin noticing familiar faces throughout the years. It is then, by chance, that you suddenly discover that you have in fact been finding bright new talents… or hidden talents. You know their faces, you know where you’ve seen them, but you can’t quite get their names until you research, and never will it happen again.

I’ve been an avid procrastinator for the past 12 years of my life, ha! I’ve watched a lot of TV and movies (more in recent years), and I’ve found myself saying “Well, he/she looks awfully familiar. Haven’t I seen him/her somewhere before?” Yes, yes I have. And that gives me a fuzzy feeling… a fuzzy special something that makes me think I’ve got this tiny little treasure, and I saw it… sort of first.

The Notebook

January 18, 2008 — 3 Comments

Well, continuing with naming best kisses that I began with this kiss post, I thought I could also post about The Notebook. First of all, I was never into watching the film, until I saw it as a download… but I had to admit, I liked it~~ So I’m guilty of watching it again on cable. Ha! Pity Gosling and McAdams are not together anymore ‘coz they made an awesome couple.

Anyway, there are a bunch of kisses on the film, and the ending is oh-so-sad. BUT, the kiss I’m talking about is the one during the “I waited for you, I wrote to you for a year, It’s raining, and I want you” kiss. Hahaha, you know, THAT kiss. Both are soaked with the rain, she’s telling him she waited for Noah, and now it’s too late. And he tells her that he wrote to her, but she never responded, and BAM!

Here’s some simple graphics:
