  • Films I Wanna See – Update

Well, apparently I’m rubbish at watching the films I want to watch… the lack of films on Peruvian theaters also doesn’t help one bit. Follow up to this post.

    • Across the Universe (2007)
    • The Other Boleyn Girl (Hopefully 2007)
    • Goya’s Ghost (2007?)
    • My Blueberry Nights (2007?)
    • The Darjeeling Limited (2007)
    • I’m a Cyborg, but it’s OK (2007???)
    • Martian Child (Oct 26, 2007)
    • The Savages (Sept. 7, 2007)
    • Fido (Jun. 15th)
    • Pierrepoint: The Last Hangman (Jun. 1st)
    • Becoming Jane (Aug. 3)
    • Rocket Science (Aug. 10)
    • Margot at the Wedding (Oct. 19)
    • Persepolis
    • Juno
    • Gone Baby Gone
    • Lars and the Real Girl
    • El Orfanato

I’ve also seen the following that weren’t on my list…

  • Oxymoron MusicPass

How thick can an industry get?

I got a bunch of e-mails promoting the new MusicPass idea, which brought a very loud “whose brilliant idea was it? No, like… really.”

    Dear, Sony.
The idea of music download is that you don’t need to go to a retailer to pick up a copy of an album, and you don’t even have to wait for the retailer to open in the morning.

Well, considering I do most of my digital music shopping at 4 a.m. ~~~~ xP

  • Welcome to 2008! See Ya, Golden Globes!

First week of 2008 is done! Been catching up on many films, and reading news. First things first, Julie Christie seems to be leading the award season, closely followed by Marion Cotillard, and Ellen Page!

The big thing of this season is that Golden Globes will be reduced to just a press conference announcing the winners, meaning that if Marion wins the GG for Best Actress on a Comedy/Musical, she won’t be there to accept the award, and her moment in the spotlight will be shunned by this event.

On other related news, the striking writers seem to be closer to reaching a deal… that would be good for Oscar season… because Oscar is important to Amy. If there’s no Academy Awards this year, it will be the first year in 10 years that she misses the broadcast~~ well, in this case, I wouldn’t miss it because there will be nothing to miss!

I am mostly rubbish at Golden Globes predictions, but I’m pretty sure No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood will be among the winners… Daniel Day Lewis, or Viggo Mortensen, Julie Christie, Marion Cotillard or perhaps Ellen Page? And Could Johnny Depp be there?

  • Changing the World One Pie and a Cookie at a Time

Just finished watching Stranger than Fiction. Fantastic film. I just thought I would share a couple of images with Maggie Gyllenhaal, as Ms. Pascal – the Cookie lady, the thoughts of warm cookies gave my stomach fuzzy feelings, reminded me of Waitress, starring Keri Russell.

So here’s to fuzziness! And changing the world with cookies and pies!

    Waitress - I Make Pies
Stranger than Fiction - Ms. Pascal

This is my friend’s Cookie Recipes. Some are in Chinese, though.

  • Weird Dreams

So had weird dreams once again. Does anyone know what this sequence means?

concert, music, loads of people, crowd, political riot, policemen, arrested, and meeting the musician

ha! yeah, one of Amy’s crazy dreams…

  • In This House, We Hate Vista

It’s official! My mom just bought herself a new computer, a HP in fact… and HP sucks. Always has sucked, and still sucks after devouring Compaq. Those will be 6hrs of my life that I will never get back… and what did I do? I installed an antivirus, a firewall, Firefox and Open Office. Yeh, that’s it. In 6 fucking long hours… because had to look for a driver for the printer, because Vista sucks balls. Still can’t make the stupid scanner work, because it’s way older than my printer, which I bought this year – my scanner is at least 5 years. But Windows Vista is so stupid that nothing is compatible, and you gotta make sure everything says “Vista Compatible” otherwise, you’re just asking for trouble.

And because HP is idiotic, they sell a 1GB desktop that runs Vista when its so un-fucking-believably slow.  How in the name of whoever’s-your-god did Microsoft come up with an OS that works like a Mac OS that uses double the RAM? I’m sensing an increase on Dell computers and Linux.

  • German Lessons with Geri and Victoria

    Too funny a video.

    Hallo!

    Ich heiße Victoria~
In case you didn’t know, she’s called Victoria…
    Ja. x’D

    Wie geht es Ihnen?
    Bin gut. x’D Ja. x””’D

I think Victoria might be mashing her German with some Spanish, and says she’s intelligent x’D

Ja! Hahaha. Poor, Geri. She’s getting confused too. x’D

    Bra-bra is… bustenhalter!

Hahaha… anyway – too much language geekyness. If I keep at it, I might end up adding a German category. *tsk tsk*

  • Aww Cute Baby River

Baby River was just too cute not to blog about. This is the first pic I see of Keri Russel’s baby, and awwwwwwww… x’D

    Isn’t River adorable?

  • SAG Awards 2008 Nominations!

The nominations for the Screen Actors Guild are in! Marion got a nod, woohoo!

Other nominations include, Ryan Gosling, Javier Bardem, Ellen Page, Julie Christie, etc.

Having Gosling for a SAG nod and not Johnny ups his chances for a GG win, non?

For a complete list of nominees, go here.
