buffy season 8 xander female trio

I always had the suspicion that I was Xander, and this quote just proved it. Destiny’s Child, Shonen Knife and the Dixie Chicks- in one dialog bubble not on YAM Magazine. What else is next? S.H.E, TLC and Acha Tsendep (阿佳组合)? xD

Because he’s the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we’ll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

And hunt him they did. He’s our silent hero, our martyr, and he doesn’t care because he knows his purpose. His ardent supporters will keep silent, and they will shed tears on his demise. And if there is justice in the world… however long it may take to get here, he will be remembered.

He is the hero we didn’t deserve, but the one we needed back then. We hunted him down because he could take it. He’s our hero AND our silent guardian. Our protector, our very own Dark Knight.

Of course it’s not, but~ it could be. xD

This just Freshly Pressed.

So what type of geek are you?

I guess I’m a Music and Film Geek. I actually don’t know how to arrange my albums because Asian albums are not necessarily jewelcase, so now the collection is all wonk. And so many discs in the movie collection, too lazy to arrange. xD

Been buying books, but not on a specific subject. Got a bit of novels, a bit graphic design, photography… just one manga collection, and one comic book collection (3 out of 5 volumes).

Just had the chance to catch Kick-Ass, and let me tell you. Forget about Kick-Ass, we need more Big Daddy and Hit Girl~~~ Better yet, we need more girly potty-mouthed super heroes.

In a movie too centered on the insipid Kick-Ass — mind you, the film is title with his name — Hit Girl rocked my world.

Based on the manga by Fumi Yoshinaga, Ooku — refering to the quarters of the Shogun’s female companions — tells the story of a fictional Edo era in Japan where women have become the dominant members of society, and males are sought after to reproduce.

Actress Kou Shibasaki will be playing the female shogun.

This made me think of the comic Y: The Last Man, which was the first ever comic I got into due to my roommate wanting me to read it. If you haven’t read it, do give it a look. You can be blown away.

As for the movie, the trailer kinda game me chills. Kou Shibasaki as the Shogun, such a marvelous idea. What’s Kazunari Ninomiya to do? xD

Well, this is depressing.

Interesting animation, but so SO depressing xD
In comic strip style!

is not really that memorable.

It’s funny, it’s got loads of moments for laughs — my dad even said so while saying it’s just a film to watch for fun with the kids.

My favorite – most surprising – moment was actually with Scarlett Johansson playing Russian-non-Russian super heroine Black Widow (aka. Natalie Rushman, aka Natasha Romanoff) taking on a dozen or so guards as Happy Hogan (played by Jon Favreau, who directed the film) was taking one of his own. But then again, it was because I literally burst out laughing, not because I thought it was the coolest thing ever… this is the best Johansson has looked on screen in a really LONG time.

Iron Man 2 – for the ones who don’t follow anything about superhero films – follows Tony Stark after he’s announced to the world that he is Iron Man, and that he’ll be the keeper of world peace, as he cockily says that he’s managed to privatize it. However, as he keeps using the Iron Man suit, his body begins a toxic transformation as the material used to power it is… well, toxic.

So as Stark processes the idea of dying, he begins setting his business affairs in order, and living a self-destructive last-days. Little did he know that an enemy is ready to use the Stark’s Iron Man tech to disrupt “world peace”.

Visual effects were their usual top-notch selves, except when Rhodey (played by Don Cheadle, replacing Terrence Howard) was using a suit… there was something funky with his moving and flying… maybe because it’s meant to not be as cool as Iron Man.

This is so awesome. The most Batman I had was a sleeveless t-shirt with the batman logo. However, I did have a Spiderman pajama that had everything (even the mask) except for the hands, coz hands are difficult. So it was like a one-piece Spiderman pajama with a mask xD I totally rocked that one.

I know I should have a picture of that somewhere.

In the meantime, take a look at these super heroes! xD
