When my family first got cable, I remember watching NHK. Now, as a person who doesn’t speak Japanese at all, and being a Japanese wannabe… the only programs I could actually follow sans subtitles were kid shows. One of them is the long-lasting Okaasan to Issho, which apparently began showing on October 5h, 1959. I think the first time I saw the show was in 1999… or I could be wrong and be 1998. Anyway, if you don’t know about it… it’s like hmm, Menudo meets Sesame Street, but for really really small kids. I’m guessing 2-3 years old. I was watching a re-run of How to Eat Fried Worms, and noticed a couple of known kid faces. Like Hallie Kate Eisenberg (most known as the Pepsi girl… or from the movie Paulie, LOL) – Alexander Gould from Weeds… well, I know him from there anyway. And… Ryan Malgarini who I know from The Hot Chick (he played the little brother, ha!). Anyway, it got me thinking that I couldn’t really think of any boy actor who wows me at the moment. I mean, when you think of child actors nowadays, you can immediately name Abigail Breslin (aka. Little Miss Sunshine)… or Dakota Fanning. In my case, I would also mention Jodelle Ferland of course~~
There is only one thing to say… THANK YOU SO MUCH, Julz!!!!! I just got it in the mail today, and the post office almost spoiled it, because they were about to rip the wrapping to find out what it was! And I was like NO! Can’t you just read the invoice to see what’s inside, plus it’s a gift, you damn fuckers! LOL’ – They looked at me funny because you won’t believe how EXCITED I got when I knew. You could see it in my eyes, Julz – this has been the most surprising, bestest present like EVER… FOREVER AND EVER and always~~~
Hardcover books rock, photography rocks, celebrity portraits rock… so this gift effing rocks!! It’s got sooooo many photographs, and they are all neatly printed on nice paper. My dad even thought they might be real pictures pasted on the paper, haha. Big font for the content, so no need for eye-squinting… and the first chapter, if I read correctly – it’s written by Garbo’s great-nephew. I thought it was such a great read! Here’s an excerpt:
There is a lot about Greta Garbo I did not learn until after she passed away. Her last film was released in 1941, seventeen years before I was born. Well, continuing with naming best kisses that I began with this kiss post, I thought I could also post about The Notebook. First of all, I was never into watching the film, until I saw it as a download… but I had to admit, I liked it~~ So I’m guilty of watching it again on cable. Ha! Pity Gosling and McAdams are not together anymore ‘coz they made an awesome couple.
Anyway, there are a bunch of kisses on the film, and the ending is oh-so-sad. BUT, the kiss I’m talking about is the one during the “I waited for you, I wrote to you for a year, It’s raining, and I want you” kiss. Hahaha, you know, THAT kiss. Both are soaked with the rain, she’s telling him she waited for Noah, and now it’s too late. And he tells her that he wrote to her, but she never responded, and BAM!

Just finished watching Stranger than Fiction. Fantastic film. I just thought I would share a couple of images with Maggie Gyllenhaal, as Ms. Pascal – the Cookie lady, the thoughts of warm cookies gave my stomach fuzzy feelings, reminded me of Waitress, starring Keri Russell.

Okay, so I was watching an episode of Desperate Housewives on Sony (Entertainment Television), which had no Bree – AT ALL. The episode sucked so badly, I felt sorry for it. Seriously, the best character of the show is Bree hands down, without Marcia Cross, DH will drop down on ratings. So, in the light of this crappy episode, I wanted to make a list of my favorite TV characters, in no particular order~
