  • Timbuktu iPad Magazine for Kids

I wonder how does this work O_O

Since I don’t own an iPad, I have no way to test this… but sounds like an awesome idea.

If you wanna try it out, visit their website and download the iPad app.

  • Blog updates~

    Surprise!

I can’t keep up with two blogs hahahaha.

    So… I’m thinking.

    1. Is there a way – plugin? – that would let me post by writing once? xD

    2. or I could just post fan stuff xD

The other day I got an email thanking me for introducing them to Bibi. That her voice is very moving, and it just made me feel so SO proud. I know it sucks that I can’t find almost anything on her. And it sucks that I don’t speak Mandarin, to translate the lyrics for you… or read Chinese to hunt for news.

But I do it for Yu-chan.

Shall I do it for Bibi?

I, at least, want to get Bibi’s pinyin lyrics out. I’ll work on that.

Please, in the meantime~ visit YAM Magazine, and add us to your Yahoo or Google feeds.

  • Finally YAM Magazine Website

I was beat last night. Full of anxiety xD

But it’s finally out. Please, visit yam-mag.com leave a comment and subscribe ;P

  • Woooo, getting excited and impatient about the YAM Mag Website

    O_O

    xD

You know, it looks fine – but some stuff don’t work yet! LOL I mean, it works… but not as I was expecting. So I need someone to talk WordPress coding and plugins out-loud with — figuratively speaking — so I can have my House “ah-ha!” moment.

Also emailed all YAM readers to see if anyone is interested on becoming Affiliate with us, for the first 3 months it’s a FREE space (though, rotating randomly) on that humongous featured ad. Though, that Kick-Ass poster is puuuuurrrrrfect.

    Thoughts, comments? Suggestions?

  • Peruvian Posters 2010 – Part II

Continuing with our talks on Peruvian posters of 2010, we’ll continue with the smaller productions of 2, 3, Kasa Okupada, El Niño del Cusco, El Ultimo Piso and Vivir. If you’ve missed the first part of our discussion, head over here.

Obviously, because we are talking about more independent flare, instead of suggesting fonts for buying, we’ll be suggesting -if we’re suggesting any- free download fonts. Now, because these are completely independent, I have no idea where to watch them or have no idea what these films are about.

    Also in Espanol at Cinencuentro~

  • Peruvian Posters 2010 – Part I

Welcome to our second edition of Peruvian posters, if you’ve missed the first post on 2009 posters, you can check it out here — sorry, only in Spanish. There’s been an increase on Peruvian releases in the local film market that includes properly-Peruvian independent productions, as well as international co-productions.

Thanks to this, there has also been an increase in interest for marketing campaigns that include websites, social networking sites, and yes – posters, to make your film stand out from the bunch. The film poster culture in Peru hasn’t really exploded — in quantity or quality — , as marketing people and CEOs are still too scared of too much blank spaces or much too abstract concepts that may or may not confuse its audience.

We are still far from the less-is-more concept seen many-a-time in European or Japanese posters, and we are even farther from the mass-production of poster design that exists in the United States, but we’re taking baby steps as young people show more interest in design, and new designers get into the market.

Due to the number of posters this year, I’ve decided to split them into two groups – the first one with the “bigger” productions, and the second one with the independent productions. All will be listed in alphabetical order.

  • The effects of Twitter on my Blogging

I’ve run out of material to post. I was working on part 1 of a post, that still needs a part 2. While also working on coding for YAM… which I didn’t do today. Haven’t had time to watch anything, listen to anything… or even finish the book I was reading.

Oh, yeah – I haven’t posted that I’ve been reading Handling the Undead – and finally, the reliving are doing something. Also… have I told you I’ve been going to bed at 6am everyday? Sighs…

Having said that, I got an email from the Spirit Awards – hope to get screeners early next year, though I would really like to get the screeners now. xD Looking forward to the nominees =D

  • The YAM Team

    I hate coding. Surprise!

I need someone to code for me xD

I’m trying to figure out what plugins to add, and decide what I need to code myself. It’s just… headache. In the end, I just began adding the categories and some of the tags we will be using, as well as creating accounts for the YAM team! xD

obviously, I deleted the names, usernames and email addresses for protection. But as you can see… there’s all us… there’s me, there’s our Ghost Writer, and we’ve got a bunch of more ghosts that have no pictures – and there’s LinzerDinzer.

  • Crap Logo Yourself – MySpace Re-brand

My friend sent this over to me, Crap Logo Yourself~

So I made a new YAM Mag logo! Yeah… right~~~

Also! MySpace getting a new logo?

  • Twitter 101

My head hurts. Can anyone type Twitter tips here? I could really use some of them with YAM’s account. Or better yet, take over it, so I don’t need to? xD

Tell me why can’t you just type “@” and get an automatic list of the people, and then get the names as you type the user… u know like tagging people on facebook? LOL Isn’t that common sense?
