Couldn’t resist to use this image as the main film here xD

Can’t help myself, and I haven’t even seen The Tourist. Look, I love movie stars… I’m sure I’m going to go “oh, it isn’t THAT bad” but I can even say when things should be awarded or not. xD But then again… ratings~

I’m just glad Timberlake wasn’t nominated in anything.

And since we’re speaking about out of their league: Lea Michelle for Glee is completely out of her league in her category against Toni Collette, Edie Falco, Tina Fey and Laura Linney. Look, I love Glee – don’t really watch 30 Rock, didn’t warm up to Laura Linney in The Big C, don’t like Edie Falco’s Nurse Jackie character, didn’t completely loved Season 2 of United States of Tara – but Lea Michelle is out of her league. xD

Toni Collette FTW!

Because the list is oh so long, just posting film…

O_O

xD

You know, it looks fine – but some stuff don’t work yet! LOL I mean, it works… but not as I was expecting. So I need someone to talk WordPress coding and plugins out-loud with — figuratively speaking — so I can have my House “ah-ha!” moment.

Also emailed all YAM readers to see if anyone is interested on becoming Affiliate with us, for the first 3 months it’s a FREE space (though, rotating randomly) on that humongous featured ad. Though, that Kick-Ass poster is puuuuurrrrrfect.

Thoughts, comments? Suggestions?

They’re here~~~

Okay, I must admit I’m still watching what I began in August, so now with House, Glee and Modern Family, I have no idea where I’m gonna be finding the time to watch all of it. So even if I want to say I missed Glee, I’d be lying. Been to busy. But you know what’s funny? I was trying to write a fanfic in script format featuring Asian music, and this whole first episode… it felt pretty Asian. “I used some Botox for prepping for my Hollywood debut” Filipino singer Charice (playing Sunshine Corazon) actually has a pretty killer voice in that bit when she was beginning to duet-sing Telephone with Rachel.

Asian Camp, and how tight the Asian community is was fun – and Hello, Mike Chang! xD

But the best line of the episode goes to… Brittany. I dunno what’s gonna happen next week with a whole Brittany episode. Might be the toughest week to choose a quote… or it might break Brittany’s enchanting one-liners forever.

And hi, Coach Beiste (B-E-I-S-T-E because it’s French) is totally Ms. Glass aka. Claw.

Will: What’s going on?
Sue: Brittany here has accused Coach Beiste of inappropriate touching. *wink*
Will: What? Brittany, that’s a serious accusation.
Sue: It’s very serious. *wink*

Will: Brittany, what you’re saying could ruin somebody’s life. It’s really important that you tell the truth here.
Brittany: I made it up. Coach Beiste didn’t touch my boobs. Actually, I really… want to touch her boobs.

Hahahaha.

Though I must admit the ending of Telephone was a close second.

Emmy Nominations 2010

July 8, 2010 — 2 Comments

Emmys are always an afterthought here, mainly because we don’t have much time to keep up with all series, so we’re kind of at a loss when it comes to television awards. But alas, that doesn’t stop new nominations coming in~~~

The miniseries The Pacific leads nominations with 24, but if we’re talking about series… Well, Glee is leading that one list with 19 nominations – 2 nominations ahead of Mad Men (17), 4 ahead of 30 Rock (15), and 5 ahead of Modern Family (14). For the summary list check this PDF out from Emmys.tv

Other series nominated… Lost (12), The Good Wife (9), Nurse Jackie (8), Dexter (7) and House M.D (3) ~

Among the many nominations~

Entertainment Weekly has finally put up their list of Greatest Characters online.

Excuse me as I What? – Bernie Mac over The Bride from Kill Bill, or Lisbeth Salander from Millennium Trilogy? Will Smith’s Hancock over Whilhelmina from Ugly Betty? With no traces of Wolverine? Seriously? Hancock over Wolverine? And don’t tell me it’s because Wolverine is an old character, because Tony Stark (Iron Man) made it to the list… and he’s not what we would exactly call from the “last 20 years” either.

The list is questionable… not only for the inclusions and omissions, also for placing. tsk tsk.

As much as I love Sue Sylvester (and Jane Lynch), I think she should be lower than characters like House or Dexter. Also… Rachel Green on the Top10? Over guys like Jack Bauer from 24? And Edward Cullen from Twilight over freaking Don Draper from Mad Men???? Really? Or even Miranda Priestly from Devils Wears Prada?

But gotta give it to you for at least including some of the names. You know like Starbuck. Or Stewie from Family Guy… Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Edward Scissorhands — if you didn’t count, that’s TWO Johnny Depps right there~~~ Then there’s Hannibal Lecter, The Joker, and Buffy.
