Archives For faces!

Ever since I saw Madhuri Dixit on Devdas, I was fascinated with her eyebrows because… well, BECAUSE!

source.

Can you do that? HAVE YOU TRIED TO PULL THAT OFF? That’s a talent right there. And it seems to be her thing. I mean, I can move my eyebrows alright- one up and up the other goes, but it looks more like a look of mad confusion than the actual ease with which she uses.

You know how everyone EVERYONE likes to point out Aishwarya Rai was Miss World and ALWAYS point out she was at one point the most beautiful in the world. It irks me, because you get to see Devdas and see the most stunning amazingness.

And she’s overlooked by us (non-indian audience).

I mean, it does help that she’s gorgeously dressed and accessorized. And Madhuri Dixit has such charisma while talking or performing — not her dance numbers on film — but live or pre-recorded presentations. I haven’t gotten around to watching HER starring filmography just yet, but I literally spent a couple of hours browsing through her videos on YouTube.

I loved her throwing in some Michael Jackson movements, and she gave me some Flashdance vibe at some point, but she does have such ease to entertain and enjoy herself on stage. It makes the experience of watching her such a pleasure. I really can’t wait to get to her filmography.

Any day now.

That close-up on Chulpan Khamatova’s flawless face is perfection.

Though I don’t think that these ten months worth of wait after the release of the Making Of [1] back in January make the video good, I’m happy the video is finally out. I haven’t been able to find an official HD upload of it, so this fan upload will have to do for now.

There’s an official upload, but surprisingly it isn’t in HD either.

I have a weakness for funny faces [1][2][3].

Has people ever ask you what’s your type? In terms of the people that you like, and you really have no idea because you’ve never really talked about.  I wondered if I could see a pattern in the people I like on-screen, so I made a list of women and men — 25 picks each — and placed generally okay photos of them to see if I could see any characteristics they shared.

A few rules- it has to be people that you follow — not randoms that you just find hot. Sofia Vergara is hot but I haven’t seen her outside Modern Family or Chasing Papi. And it also isn’t about talent… completely. It’s people that you would somehow, if given the chance, do / be with / however you want to call it or do is.

Also, photos should generally be color and looking to the front-ish. Natural looks favored, but since it’s a type thing, I suppose you can use any photos you find your subject attractive in.

Holy mother of $*#&$#

This is Sharon Stone at age 55. (I actually thought, for a second, she could have been closer to 60). But this, this photoshoot for Revista Vanity Fair. I don’t give a care about Sharon Stone much, and a lot of what she talks about gives me a mad case of eye-roll, but this photoshoot by Norma Jean Roy is crazy good.

I have a feeling I’m never writing that “ø” in Bolsø ever again. I’m not even typing it. But damn, I was impressed with Ingrid Bolso Berdal while watching Flukt. She really made the film for me. You remember how many chills I got from Charlize Theron in Huntsman? Watching Berdal as Dagmar was downright chilling. She’s like a total badass Theron.

Guh. I can’t. I’ve been trying to fight it, really. For YEARS. But a while back, Gee made it into my iTunes library just because, and instead of staying in there, it migrated into my iPod.

And, it was sort of alright. Then I did my trip and Taiwan was obsessed with Kpop, so it was Korean varieties every night at the hotel (if it wasn’t Taiwanese food shows), and Taeyeon was in so many of them. And “that chick from SNSD” came to have a name, despite all of them meshing together coz they’re just so freaking many. And then, she’s just so damn funny.

I don’t have any opinion on her singing or dancing, though I think she’s above average singing- especially in the group. So I’m unwilling to add any of those tags. I also don’t think of her as particularly oozing sex appeal, but she’s very pretty. Like in Hyori’s case, I prefer her casual.

In regards of that Family Outing episode, though. I still would pick Hyori ;)

I’m not much into fashion, but I ran into this documentary called About Face: The Supermodel, Then and Now, which featured (besides Isabella Rossellini and Christy Turlington) Carmen Dell’Orefice. I was immediately struck by the shape of her face, the lines that form when she’s posing.

A while back a GORGEOUS Dior commercial featuring Grace Kelly, Dietrich and Monroe, alongside a slinky Charlize Theron was invading my TV and doing rotations on my YouTube ads. That was one of the only commercials I didn’t mind breaking my viewing.

Alongside with visual effects magicians, they managed to bring back classic on-screen beauties… and now, they’re latest project has been bringing back Audrey Hepburn. From the still up there, it looks PRETTY uncanny. Apparently they found the perfect Hepburn double, and did their magic twitching details to make her look IT. Sadly, we can’t watch the commercial for Galaxy Chocolate, which has only been licensed within the UK and Ireland territories.

I guess Audrey Hepburn’s image is THAT expensive.

Ad has made it’s appearance on YouTube.
