Sorry that I didn’t post last night! Olympic fever is madness~~~ My YesAsia order arrived yesterday! Sugoi NE! Photobook Fever at its MAX~~~~~ I devoured Dandelion, you wouldn’t believe it. I saw the photos, swooned over many of them, and went mad with super concentration to try to read. Because, as you know, Amy doesn’t read Japanese.

Dandelion on its Way?

August 5th, 2008 Amy

Teehee, I was a bit out of the loop over the weekend, especially on Sunday when my cousin came over for a visit… and that’s when I quickly checked my email and found out that YesAsia had shipped my order!! Sugoi NE!

Best of all??? Someone has crossed their fingers for me, because Dandelion - Rhythmedia by rockin’ on publishing, which is another travel journal like Travel Sand but for Russia, has become available once again. If you have been following, I ranted a little bit because I had received an email saying that they couldn’t find the books in my order… but now, a week later~~~ here it is! Available once again!

Feliz 28!

July 28th, 2008 Amy

Yup~ Felices fiestas! xD Que viva el Peru, and the whole shebang~

Brace yourselves for some marching tomorrow, and prepare your illegally bought movies ‘coz many won’t be too fond of national TV xD

My jaw hurts, so I won’t be eating anything hard to chew. I’m beginning to hate doctors… my jaw hurts worse that it used to. It blows. Clean ears, my ass.

Also, YesAsia blows. I need to bent! Keep your fingers crossed for the next five days so they can at least find Dandelion… because Dandelion is oh-so-pretty-a-book. And I need to have it.

Photobook Fever

July 3rd, 2008 Amy

Okay, I’ve decided! Japanese people are the master of things “must-get”. You’ve no idea how much will power took for me not to click on the “buy” button on YesAsia.com - I’ve got Photobook Fever. But Japanese photobooks are just so effing pretty, WORD.

I’m not talking about the calendars, or bikini shots. NEVER. Actually, I’ve never actively purchased a calendar or a celebrity photobook… mainly calendars, because western photobooks are not common. But calendars… my uncle once gave a 98 Degrees calendar (with a 98 Degrees album), but I’ve never bought one. But Japanese stars photobooks make you want to break your bank account because they’re so awfully pretty. I love me some artsy fartsy photos~~ And at the moment I want to buy those three Aoi Yu Photobooks on sale on YesAsia…. le sigh.

Kyou Konogoro - $21.49 *EDIT* - Scrapping this one in favor of Travel Sand photobook.
Dandelion - by Rhythmedia - $37.99
Kaiten Table wa Mutsukashii - $34.75

And holy mother of effing god, Juri Ueno photos…. A Piaciere ($39.49) - Lucky for you, and for me… and photo lovers~~~ There’s these two wonderful Flickr sets online:

Juri Ueno
Yu Aoi
